After trying MANY MANY salons, from Marietta to Downtown to.... Tucker!!... I finally found Donna Leverette. (The other stylists seem great too!) Donna was able to: 1. Style the wig that I had for the time I had left to use it 2. Turn my newly-growing hair into something that I could be seen with (without the wig) 3. Ultimately, when my hair grew in, "make the most of it." She manages to make my thin hair look fuller. Which helps me be able to wear it long(ish). Which makes me feel feminine again. Donna is a miracle worker! Highlights are not something I'd ever had before, but the ones she gives me not only makes my hair fuller, the color of the highlights/lowlights really frames my face and makes me look younger. I wouldn't have considered "hair color" but it makes a world of difference. To further plug her talent - when I arrived early last week, I saw her last week cut the hair of a 3- or 4-year old who could NOT sit still. It was amazing. Despite his antics (and a little crying when he saw his hair fall onto the grown), she QUICKLY and professionally got that kid's hair looking great. I don't know how much she charges for kids, but I hope she gets hazard pay. Speaking of prices, I have paid much, much much more - at salons in Buckhead and Brookhaven and the West Side. But no one was able to make "the most of" what I have. I have learned not to arrive early but exactly on time because my hairstylist is not going to be ready whether it is because she is late arriving or the clients are late. I don't mind waiting 20 minutes past my appt. time but longer than that is inexcusable. Why would a hair stylist schedule to do a baylolage at the same time as a client who just wants to have a trim and blow out? Three times this happened to me with the last being on Saturday. After waiting 20 mins., another staff person washed my hair, which is pretty typical as the staff works together although, I don't usually have to wait 20 mins. as the staff tries to keep everyone on schedule. My stylist was reminded several times that I was waiting. 35 mins. after my scheduled appt. time, my stylist was still working on the baylolage client. I have never been disrespectful to my hairdresser and I always tip between 20 - 25 %. I know that more money is made by a hairdresser with hair dying, baylolage, etc. but at least the stylist could have the decency to schedule a baylolage at a different time. The stylist never has to spend more than 30 - 35 mins. on my hair so at 35 mins. after I arrived, I blew my own hair dry and walked out as I had to be somewhere else on my schedule. I have been going to this stylist for more than 1 1/2 years. Why treat a client this? I won't be returning, too much inconsistency.

My stylist Betty was very considerate, careful, and gave me some really good tips for my hair care. They make decent small talk too. They say no appointment needed, just walk-in; but I would strongly prefer to check-in online, that would be a better option with no waiting in lines or store closed surprises. They do honor coupons, check your emails if you have an account or follow them on Instagram to get the coupons. They do need a receptionist though. The stylist should not have to leave their current customers to receive new incoming customers. They have ample free parking in front of the store with other shared businesses. The place is well maintained, clean and fresh. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who lives in and around this area.

I only had two people cut my hair here, Michelle and Ken???? Ken is a new guy with dyed hair and speaks limited English. Michelle has been doing this for a while. I loved their old location but this new location definitely helps their salon shine. Lots of natural lighting and room for them to really allow an open space concept with seating throughout for others to see the magic happens. For the price of $28 before tip for a male's haircut, I think it is a fair price to ask in this economy and prime location. Hairwashing and shampoo is included for before and after the cut.
