I had an awful experience with IBI. The entire project was mismanaged (3 different project managers…read morein a 6 month period) with poor communication, poor workmanship, and an owner (Tony) who would rather battle his clients than right any wrongdoing by his company. We had them do three different areas of tilework; kitchen backsplash, powder room floor, and a 225 sq ft sunroom. All three areas had to be redone as the workmanship was such a poor quality. I had to hire a separate company to fix the powder room floor after IBI botched the job twice (see white mosaic tile picture). The kitchen backsplash tile spacing was extremely uneven (the installer used torn pieces of construction paper for spacers) and had to be ripped out and reinstalled. The tile spacing in the sun room (10" dark gray hexagon tiles) was off by as much as .5" in places and tiles had to be removed and reinstalled. The grout color was mixed incorrectly and way lighter than it was supposed to be. On top of all that, the charged us more than double industry standard for the work. We eventually had to take them to arbitration to receive credits that were owed. Almost all of the work was subcontracted. The only work that IBI actually did was install new cabinets. The kitchen was gutted and their "designer" created a layout that could not fit a standard sized refrigerator. They did not realize this until everything was done and the fridge didn't fit in the space allotted. We were left with a damaged fridge (dented by IBI in the moving process - another matter that was settled in arbitration) that was sticking out 3 feet into our kitchen for months while we battled to get the issue corrected. They eventually had to rip out the cabinets and modify the design so that we could have a standard sized fridge. Save yourself a major headache and avoid Incredible Builders. Hire someone else who can do the job right the first time. Also, be cautious of the positive reviews that are sure to follow this one. Tony has been known to hassle customers who had an ok experience and pressure them to write positive reviews to save face for the company. If you want to get a true glimpse of who you'd be dealing with, check out the complaint section on the Better Business Bureau. Slam dunk?

Brian was really nice and gave me great suggestions. Wednesday came and went with no quote. I called Brian's cell phone on Friday, March 16th left a message regarding the quote and got no call back. I called Ryno's main number yesterday( Monday) left them a message regarding the quote and it is Tuesday, March 20th still no call. They should rename the company Radio Silence Flooring. I wanted to support a local business with this large job, but will be looking elsewhere.

I have a house from the 1920s with its original hardwood flooring. It had been covered by…read morecarpeting in the living room and underneath-- it was a disaster. There were several major areas that needed patching, and it was covered with a black mastic. Under the mastic were stains. I had several estimates done, and the condition of the floor was so poor that one contractor began swearing at it! Every single contractor wanted to put in a new floor instead of salvaging, though a few agreed they could try to repair it but insisted on using a threshold, which would break the flow between the rooms. I was feeling really discouraged as I wanted to preserve the old wood as well as maintain the flow. Enter Ryno Flooring! Brett said this is the kind of job he actually enjoys-- a challenge. He is a true professional and craftsman. Not only did he handle the business aspect of the process beautifully, but my floors look amazing. He was able to remove the mastic (I tested it for asbestos beforehand and it was clear) and all but one of the stains. He used salvaged wood for the patchwork and it looks perfect. He was able to do it with NO threshold, which shows his extraordinary level of expertise. The color choice for a stain was a major issue as it had to work with the natural wood trim and flooring in other areas. Brett has a fantastic eye because he was the one who came up with the custom color, on the first try. Not only did it work exactly with my other wood, but it covered the only stain left. I feel so fortunate to have found this amazing company. Oh, and the price? Very competitive. I cannot recommend Ryno highly enough!

This is a story of a leaky shower. After literally years of hiring various well regarded plumbers…read moreand handymen to try to remedy it, it always leaked again - usually in less than a year. When mold showed through the ceiling of the room below the shower and the mold remediation contractor cut through the ceiling it was clear we needed to consider replacing the shower and much of the subfloor. Serious perusing of reviews on yelp led me to JRW. Just one phone call made me hopeful. First they re- grouted the shower pan/wall connection so it could be used until they had an opening in their schedule a few weeks away to replace the shower. Finally the big day came. Joel (the owner) sent me photos (it was a tenant occupied home) everyday and explained every step of the way what needed to be done and how much it would cost. He respected my decisions. He also picked out materials subject to my approval - and I always said yes because his choices were excellent as well as in budget. I had been concerned of the impact of a big project with workers in and out every day for a week or so on the tenants. I needn't have worried, the day after it was complete the tenant emailed me unsolicited and said that the workers did a great job: excellent workmanship, seemed trustworthy, respectful of the tenants and house, cleaned up everything and though they hope no more issues arise, they said if workers are ever needed there again they would hope it's the crew from JRW. Two small issues arose unrelated to this project (sticky door and gutter issue) and Joel took care of them for a minor charge. Most mom and pop landlords will tell you- the dreaded call from a tenant that something is broken causes you a few minutes of angst trying to figure out who to call to get it fixed. Now that I know about JRW, I won't feel that worry anymore.

The wrong wood had to then be removed, and the correct wood needed to be dropped off. Then rather than have us next in line to have our floors installed, which is what we would have liked in terms of customer service, they scheduled us another month out. This was terribly inconvenient because we had other home projects lined up with various cont based on the original timeline. Those projects are now all delayed as we await installation. Update: GWFC moved us up a week, so we're delayed three rather than four weeks. They also credited us $200. The floors themselves look terrific. The crew that worked on the floors were also very good.
