We finally checked out Mr. You's Chinese Food in Montclair after seeing all the hype about their viral Orange Chicken Fries, and it definitely lived up to much of the buzz. The Orange Chicken Fries were the highlight of our visit--my son absolutely loved them. The fries were crispy and flavorful, and the orange sauce paired really well with them. Presentation was also on point, making it easy to see why they've become so popular online. The portions are incredibly generous, so you'll definitely get your money's worth. Customer service was friendly and efficient, especially considering how busy they were. The only downside was the wait. The line was extremely long, and we waited about 30 minutes before reaching the counter. If you're planning to visit, be prepared for a bit of a wait, especially during peak hours. My only critique is the orange chicken itself. While the flavor was very good, the batter was noticeably greasy and seemed to absorb quite a bit of the frying oil. It wasn't enough to ruin the dish, but it was something I couldn't help but notice. Overall, the food was delicious, the portions were excellent, and the staff provided great service. If you're a fan of Chinese food or have been wanting to try the viral Orange Chicken Fries, I definitely think Mr. You's is worth a visit. Just arrive with a little patience--the line moves, and the food is worth the wait.
Stopped in for dinner the other day. Plenty of parking is available. The restaurant itself is small, charming and don't be surprised how packed it can get but service it friendly and efficient. They are the home of the Orange chicken fries. These are a must have. From the house made Orange chicken sauce, the crispy crinkled fries and the crispy on the outside but tender on the inside chicken, everything screams try me! And you will need someone to share these with cause the portion is massive! We also got a simple combo plate that took me back to my childhood. Lots of steamed white rice with char sui and beef ribs on top. The beef ribs were fall off the bone tender. The char sui was fatty, tender and delicious. Some of the best char sui ever! And believe it or not we got one more plate. They have chow fun. So rare to see a mostly take-out place with chow fun. Ask for it with chili oil. We got chili oil beef chow fun. Another massive order and some good heat level come with it. Easily a must-have when you come. Awesome service and incredible food make this a go-to Chinese food place!
This is the type of big back food I crave late at night, and it hits every time. I saw this place on TikTok and had to give it a try. It did not disappoint! The staff was friendly, and the service was quick. The only thing I'd change is getting less sauce next time since it was a little too much for me. Other than that, everything was delicious. I'll definitely be back, and next time I'm trying the Spicy Orange Chicken.

I came here with my brother and his girlfriend around 5:30 p.m. on a Saturday and I will say this place is packed!!! The line was turning and twisting indoor and even went out the side door exit. You already know before ordering this place is legit and expected to have amazing food. They are the original home/founder of the Spicy Orange Chicken fries. The inspiration was from carne asada fries with a Chinese American food twist to it. They also have a secret menu item called the carry-out noodles, which consist of their chow mein with their spicy house sauce and orange chicken stir fried together. And of course, like any other Chinese American takeout/fast casual location they are known for their 1,2,or 3 item combo with the 3 item being only $13.59. That alone can feed a family of 3-4 people. I had the pleasure to meet the owner and his staff behind scenes and everyone was incredibly hospitable, efficient, and welcoming! There is a sense of closeness and comfort I of course had to order their popular and viral dish (the Spicy Orange Chicken fries) and wanted to take on the carry-out noodles and see what it's all about! Spicy Orange Chicken Fries - 5/5 I couldn't believe how well this worked together. Stir fried in their extremely hot wok along with chili pepper, crinkle fries, orange chicken, topped with shredded cheese, special spicy house sauce, and green onions. Simple yet packed with flavors! The fries were crispy along with the orange chicken that was cooked separately in coated battered. Every bit is packed with flavor and crispiness. I could barely put much in my mouth because each ingredient holds its integrity on its shape. Carry Out Noodles - 5/5 Noodles are bouncy and chewy with a slight kick to it. The orange chicken held its integrity and wasn't soggy. The dish itself did not taste as though it was drenched in sauce, but was nicely coated on top. 3 Item Combo - 5/5 I got the chow mein&fried rice as the base. My three items were bbq pork char siu, beef broccoli, and steam vegetables. The char siu was perfectly cooked with the right amount of chewiness and although they poured the sauce on top, it was not drenched in the sauce. The beef broccoli had tender beef and the broccoli itself was crunchy and fresh. Steamed vegetables was how I remember it to be. The spicy orange chicken fries and carry out noodles are only made to order and not readily available. I just love that because it guarantees its freshness and comes out piping hot!
The Orange Chicken Fries are worth trying. Definitely shareable. Very saturated in sauce. We got the spicy fries and it was mild for me. Friendly service. Outside tables could use some cleaning but the inside was clean.
We drove out from Anaheim to check this place out. Especially the viral Orange Chicken fries. This Montclair location is the original genius behind the Orange Chicken Fries!!! The place isn't big so people are always coming and going. At one point the line was spiraling inside the tiny restaurant and it was getting pretty hot in there. And the crowds kept coming. Good thing the line moves really fast. The food is shoveled into everyone's plates which they could barely close. The crinkle cut fries were the perfect choice for the orange chicken. The textures of the fries and the chicken were like heaven with every bite. Don't let these sit out too long. We also ordered Chow Fun with beef and it was also delicious! They are creating new concoctions so keep an eye out!

First time at Mr. You Express. Came here after a fun day at Lucky Art Crayology with the kiddos. Was getting hungry and my wife found Mr. You on yelp. Mr. You puts panda express to shame with their menu variety, hospitality and portion size. Explains why this place was busy when we came in. Patron after patron came in. The staff were all very welcoming, nice and helpful. They made the kids feel welcomed and the food was delicious. My daughters loved their noodles and fried rice. We ordered their entree menu i had their one item plate and my wife got also one item plate. Mine was half fried rice and noodles with my entree being spicy orange chicken which i have not seen at other Chinese fast food. My wife got their two item broccoli beef. The spicy orange chicken was gooooood!! I loved it nice balance of flavors and not too spicy (mild to medium) spicy level. Their broccoli beef was cooked well and flavored nicely with a hint of the peppers that balanced with the veggies. All in all 10/10. The portions are large especially when i saw the bbq pork (char siu) they packed that sucker up it was over capacity of the container. The price is on point with whats out in the industry but the portions also matches it so this place is hands down the best place for chinese food thats authentic and everyone will enjoy. If you live in montclair or are passing by make sure you stop by Mr. You Express for some well made chinese food plus you will be supporting a great small business. P.S. my wife said their door said they have a secret menu IYKYK . Now i have to come back and check their instagram @mryoumontclair to see what this secret menu is all about. I've been seeing the orange chicken fries all over my feed, so we finally made the trip and wow... the hype is actually deserved. We ordered the carry out noodles with orange chicken and chow mein, and the portions were HUGE. Definitely the kind of meal that leaves you with leftovers for later. The orange chicken was crispy, saucy, and had that perfect sweet-and-tangy flavor without being overly heavy. The chow mein was flavorful and paired so well with it. You can tell why this spot has such a loyal following. And of course, we had to try the famous orange chicken fries. It's wild knowing this Montclair location is considered the original home of the viral orange chicken fries. Crispy fries loaded with orange chicken just sounds wrong until you try it... then it somehow makes perfect sense. If you're craving classic Chinese fast food with generous portions and want to see what started the orange chicken fries craze, this spot is worth checking out. The service is great, everyone is super nice! And love the ambiance, it makes me feel nostalgic being in there.
Generous portions! My container was PACKED with food that it could barely close. Easily could feed me about 3 times. The food is your average Chinese food. I did enjoy their chow mein and teriyaki chicken. Their broccoli beef was okay. The beef wasn't as tender as I'd like. Overall, I enjoyed it and you definitely get a bang for your buck. read more

Seen all the hype about this place, so I had to try and see for myself. I ordered the orange chicken and spicy green bean with chicken along with steamed rice and chow mien. The food was fresh and delicious and the server really packed the food in the styrofoam container. Well worth the 12 dollars and change for the food! read more

We were near this place and stone to kill so we de used to try this place. The selections of entrees are huge. Can order different entrees if it's not on the showcase. All the combination varieties are on the billboard. Choose from one to two to three entrees with rice and chowmein noodles. The portions are hugeeeeeee! We shared a combo B with two entrees. Added the shrimp for an additional $1. The orange chicken came with spicy or non spicy. The place is small only few tables inside and few outdoor seating tables. Food was good, the spicy orange chicken was so so. It doesn't have the same flavor as Panda Express but it was good. The salt and pepper shrimps were really good. The shrimp was quite big! Couldn't even finish it. They also have really good smoothies and boba tea with different flavors. Need to go back and try their famous orange chicken fries. Way over hyped , I came here and wai 35 minutes in line just to get over charged for some basic Chinese food I paid 25$ for combo C , it was obvious the lady didn't understand me . I didn't want chow main or fried rice , and for some reason 15$ turned into 25 . Instead of fixing the problem they argued . I really dislike making bad reviews but charging me 10 extra dollars for no reason was wrong . I just left and got tired of trying to explain myself . Never coming back ! read more
Mr. You Express caught my attention from the viral videos I had seen on social media of the Orange Chicken Fries. Yup! ORANGE CHICKEN FRIES! It's an off menu/secret menu item that they are known for. I was in the area so I decided to give that one of a kind item a try. The location was pretty packed and almost out the door when I arrived. The restaurant is quite small with 4 tables for seating inside and 3 tables outside. The staff here works very hard and they are very attentive to their customers. I had my mind set to try the Orange Chicken Fries so I can't speak on the other traditional items you normally at a Chinese fast food joint. The Orange Chicken Fries run you for $13.99 and took a bit of time to complete. Once my number was called you get a whiff of that aroma from the box. It was a huge portion and the box barely closed. I took a number of bites of it at the restaurant since I didn't wanna try it at home and risk the fries getting soggy. The smells and flavors were overpowering in a good way. It's a sweet dish but the uniqueness is what I appreciated the most. That bad boy was packed to max! The orange chicken and crispy crinkle cut fries were sauced up and that portion is good for two. I enjoyed being about to try it and took the rest home. Overall, that dish is an experience on its own. The friendly service and good food would make me return in the future and try the other items. Drove all the way to here from LA JUST for these VIRAL ORANGE CHICKEN FRIES. I opted for the spicy option. Came on a weekday around 2 pm. There was no line and I ordered immediately but the order took about 10-15 minutes to make. I didn't mind because I just knew this was gonna slap. Crinkle cut fries tossed in the orange chicken sauce with the chicken ?!! Unheard of!! The flavor was so delicious and loved how saucy it was. The only part I didn't like was that some of the chicken pieces were a bit too hard and didn't really taste fresh, but honestly I still loved it. I think it was just because I went in the afternoon when it wasn't really prime lunch time. Also, I also ordered a large side of vegetables for $6.99. It was just boiled veggies that was majority cabbage. It didn't have any taste but I really needed to eat some veggies after chowing down on these bomb af fries. The orange chicken fries hype was cool... for the first three bites. It looked beautiful, as shown in my picture. But we became tired of it real quick because of the orange super sweet sauce. Pretty cool they have both regular orange and spicy orange chicken. Oddly, the orange chicken was more crunchy than the fries but can't say much there because this is a chinese express restaurant anyways lol. Recommend to still eat the orange chicken fries with rice cause of that overwhelming sauce. The service was great and friendly. Indeed there was a bit of wait after waiting in a long line. I honestly was not impressed with my experience at other locations of Mr. You but since the range chicken fries have been all over social media, I decided to give the Montclair location a try. Location is a typical small takeout spot for Chinese combo meals. First thing you will see is a line of customers going out the door. I opted for the spicy orange chicken fries. Portions are big enough for 2-3 people. Chicken & fries were nice and crisp, piping hot. The glaze was well balanced sweet, tangy, salty and spicy that coats every ingle piece of fries and chicken. I also ordered small sides of veggies to balance the rich flavors. Staff are helpful, friendly very efficient. Hats off for being so patient with the long line that was present the entire time I was there. read more
Prepare to wait (around 3:30pm, waited about 20mins in line to order, more to get our Orange Chicken Fries). There are only about 4 tables indoors so we were worried about finding a seat but one of them opened up just in time. We got Combo B (Chow Mein, Spicy Orange Chicken, Pork) and Orange Chicken Fries. The food was better than I expected but the Orange Chicken Fries were too saucy for me to eat a lot. They offer spicy vs not spicy. I chose not spicy but later regretted not getting spicy. It would have tasted better. The portions are BIG. The two dishes we got would have fed 3-4 people. I would recommend trying if you're in the area but not necessarily going out of your way just to try this restaurant. read more

I came here for those Orange Chicken Fries I'd been seeing all over TikTok. I think everyone and their mom were here for that actually because every order had at least one added. My husband was with me and he also got a plate, not sure why, the portions were huge and I just wanted to OC fries. The lady helping us might have been in a mood, or over it. She wasn't that friendly with me and I didn't get a receipt. The people after us she was nice to, so not sure what that was about. Everyone else was super friendly. The orange chicken fries are made to order, but the wait wasn't that bad. We dined inside as people eyed our food. I didn't see it advertised inside, so think anyone who didn't see it on social media was for sure curious about it. The food my husband got was really good, huge portions! The Orange Chicken Fries was massive! We definitely took so much home. You need a group to finish it. The sauce and chicken was really good. The fries is a fun touch, but I enjoyed the chicken more. They also top it with cheese so that was interesting. Oh! We also got the cream cheese rangoon, you can never got wrong with those. All in all, this place is legit. Plenty of food options and such unique offerings. We even chatted with I believe it was the owner before we left. He was so kind and excited we came in for the orange chicken fries. Yelp Fam!!!! Listen Up!!! This is the SPOT! For Chinese fast food!!! There's always a line their food is fresh and they pack I mean pack your plates!! Now my wife and I are Bbq Pork fanatics and this is the place!! I ordered the Orange Chicken and Bbq Pork with Steam Rice and Chow Mein my wife had the Broccoli Beef and of course Bbq Pork yes!!! But the way they packed it next time it's 1 combo to share so we can get some sides because the way they packed these plates there's no room for anything else and I'm a big guy!!! Thank Mr You! I saw some Instagram influencer made reel of this place, and good looked great in those videos. I could not help and wanted to try this place out. I drove 1 hour in traffic, and hoping to get tasty Chinese food. Parking was easy, and there were plenty of parking spot. There was a line when I went inside the restaurant. I have never seen a Chinese fast food restaurant that has a long wait time! I waited for 30 minutes, and ordered an item from the secret menu - Orange chicken fries, and a small container of fried noodles. The food was made fresh, so it was another 15 minutes wait. The restaurant only had 4 tables inside, and 4 tables outside. I was hungry because of the wait, and when I had my first bite. It was a great disappointment. The food was very Americanized. The orange chicken fries had a total of 4 pieces of orange chicken, and a full box of fries. The orange chicken was far too sweet, and I am wondering how much sugar they put in it. Also, orange chicken and fries were not a good combination! The fried noodle is a surprise, and it was the best thing in this meal. This meal was pretty sad to me. I am a big fan of fries; however, I could not finish it and had to throw it away. Also, I felt very thirsty after the meal, and it usually happens when the food I ate had a lot of msg in it. Two stars for this place because of the fried noodle. I will probably not come back. The food is not worth the drive, time, and money I spent. read more
my bf & i's second time coming here. he ended up finding this spot on ig. when i say it's worth the drive for both of us (him from victorville, me from la habra), i mean it's goddamn worth it. the portion sizes are WILD. the first time we came here we got two plates. my boyfriend had to take leftovers home, which is saying something. the lady that served us was great. we always get a second container full of food. between the two of us this time, we STILL had some to take back on our drive. love this little comfort foodie spot. highly recommend! line's always out the door for a reason read more

Located in the corner of a larger plaza, Mr. You's is tucked away. They have extremely competitive pricing and is similar to Panda Express. The service is fast and prompt and very sweet. The food was by far worth the price point. Fried rice was pretty plain, nothing special. The noodles have a good texture and good sauce. The char sui is delish! and has a good smokey flavor. The spicy orange chicken, isnt really spicy but is a nice little back throat kick. Overall great value and good food. Would come back again read more
