They hold strong without additions like sauce, but also take on a new unique flavor profile from their in house gravy and BBQ sauce. Both the turkey and brisket are juicy and tender. The smoky flavor of the brisket is truly outstanding. The brisket-wurst sandwich is worth it to get even if you intend to get sausage and brisket. It really has it's own flavor profile altogether that is another standout. As a KC BBQ woman myself, I did love the pulled pork and it's addition on the menu. The ribs were also stellar. I don't tend to gravitate towards ribs and these really stood out. Back to the sauces above, the gravy is a unique, regional feature that enhance already tender turkey-and honestly goes great on everything and anything. The in house BBQ sauce can compete with even some of the best sauces where BBQ sauce is more popular. The sides stand strong alongside the featured meat. Some individual favorites of mine include the brisket and beans and the jalapeno cornbread (highly recommend a bite of the cornbread, pulled pork, BBQ sauce, and a homemade jalapeno).
