Sketchy. Needed emergency service due to continuous arcing after flipping the 30amp breaker for my water heater. Electrician arrived, was knowledgeable, but the "van isn't stocked with 30 amp GE breakers" so needed to get them at a big box retailer. (Yes, really.) Came back without packaging for purchased breakers, which cost about $40 each, retail. He replaced two. The company charged $159. EACH. Said the price of the part includes labor, etc. One of those kinds of businesses - not transparent with their pricing, which is not the fault of the electrician. Can't recommend. read more

Ripoff. Charged me $3000 for something that multiple people said should cost between $1000-1500. Industry people were shocked at what I was charged. Shame on me. I usually never agree to on the spot quotes, but the guy was so nice, and I fell for it. The worst part was that at the end I was handed an iPad with a tip screen with the minimum suggested tip on the screen being over $500. Apparently, electricians are one of 8 categories allowed to pay no tax on tip, so watch out. Ask if you will be guilt tipped before someone comes to your house. read more

Had Mr. Value came out to switch a circuit breaker. Was hoping with all the good reviews, price and effort would align. However, it was a lot pricer than the other company I use last year even if inflation has been high. The work was barely 5 minutes to change a circuit breaker. Pros: - electrician was able to diagnosis the issue over the phone and bring the circuit breaker to repair - it was nice to have the discount by donating cans to save on come cost Cons: - A lot pricier than other company previously used - Yelp stated same day service, however, it took 1 week when the service was offered. Would not recommend if you need immediate assistance - Website stated lifetime warranty on work. The person on the phone stated 1 year warranty. The electrician stated 6 months. There doesn't seem to be clear consensus on their warranty - It took multiple calls to get someone on the phone who can schedule the service. The people answering are only taking contact details and has no visibility into who and when the actual person providing the service will. Even when asked for an estimated call back time, the answer was "we don't know" Overall, the work was done quickly and efficient. It did not feel like the value and price point aligned. Recommend to call multiple vendor as circuit breaker repairs is common according to the electrician. read more

After getting several estimates I called mr value based on recommendations I had seen online. Upon calling I was given an estimate for the work I needed to be accomplished (adding a new outlet). The price quote given on the phone was 280-400$. On the day the service was performed they called in advance and let me know they were on the way. They quoted me on site that it would be 380$ due to the complexity. The work was completed in under an hour by two electricians. When I paid via card there was a prompt to leave a tip which I was taken back by. I'd hope electricians are properly paid and do not require tips when the rate is 380$ for under an hours work. All in all, they performed the work quickly and resolved my needs. read more

So many good things to say about Mr Value!! We are almost 7 years into a new construction home in Cumming and this was our first time needing an electrician so we immediately went to Yelp! They have not steered me wrong yet, from windshield replacement to HVAC Yelp has put me in touch with the best services in my area! After my wife called the builders list and a few others with no response I stopped what I was doing and went straight to my trusty Yelp app. I found Mr Value right away with 4.5 stars and called them directly. Not even 5 seconds into the recorded message the nicest young woman answered the phone. Pleasant and professional, listening carefully to our problem. She told us someone would be contacting us shortly and they actually did! One of our smoke detectors was non stop beeping. We had replaced the batteries several different ways and times. The poor dogs were freaked out. We could not figure it out. They said they were pretty booked up but would definitely fit us in between 2-6pm same day! I received a text not too long after that David would be contacting me shortly with an ETA. David called about 2 minutes after that text to let me know that he was on his way and showed up shortly after at 11:30am well before our original window and probably not too much more that an hour and a half after my initial call. David diagnosed our problem right away and gave us several options. He did not have the part we needed but drove to the hardware store over 3 miles away at no additional charge! He returned and fixed the problem lickety split! Nice and professional the entire time. I loved everything about working with this company. The constant communication, genuine concern for us, friendly and professional from the first contact and all the way through. I don't know much about how things are charged in this industry but thought it was a bit off to charge just over $200 to install a $40 part but I'm glad that they were able to help us so quickly and professionally. I got a second quote from another electrician for $950 he completely fixed my issue and when I called Mr. Quality to ask to speak to the owner to tell them how I been treated by the technician I was told I would a call back shortly. that was 3 weeks ago and I haven't heard a word from them. When we found 3 outlets that did not work in one of our bedrooms after my husband changed out the receptacles we had a dilemma. My husband had done this electrical work many times over. We called Mr. Value Electricians in Cumming. I don't like using companies without someone recommending them so I chose this company based on reviews and the Best of Forsyth for many years. They sent Chase to investigate. He was awesome at finding what my husband did wrong and corrected it. He also found an issue requiring several circuit breakers that need replaced in our panel. He located the problem leading to that issue and pointed out what we had to change so as not to overload the amps. We had multiple electricians quote us to install can lighting in the living room (with no access), and can lighting in the upstairs bathroom and closet (with access), Mr. Value Electricians came in by far with the most competitive pricing. I had a couple of small jobs, as well as, a time consuming project. Mark installed under-cabinet LED lights in the kitchen. It was labor intensive, but the result is beautiful. Mark took great care to place drop cloths on the counter and cleaned the work area. I always get nervous when I have workman in my home, but that was not the case with Mark. There's obviously a reason that these guys have been voted best in Forsyth so many times! I called yesterday because we're in the process of buying a home and there were some concerns on our inspection report. I spoke to Chris the owner and he was incredibly kind, and he had one of their technicians out early this morning (the next day! how awesome!!) And because we are in the process of buying the home I wasn't able to be there when the technician came out, so when I got my invoice and had a concern, I called again and asked about it and Chris once again was so nice and went above and beyond to help me, even calling me to address the concern during his lunch break, which he definitely didn't have to do! Service call was performed same day. Told Chris on the phone that aside from the issue at hand, I'd also like an estimate for a multitude of projects in my home, include a complete 3 room renovation. I was shocked that finding a GFCI switch on a 30 min visit would warrant a $200 cost. With all of my investment properties I've never paid a tradesman $400/hr. Seems outrageous. Nevertheless, Chris found the outlet and flipped the switch so the task was completed. Shortsighted in my opinion as the scalping I took for 30 min of work just means that Mr Value is no longer even considered for the thousands of $ of electrical work on the other projects I've started in my home. Let me tell you, this was not a value service. I was presented a flat rate charge of $247 to identify and fix a minor problem which turned to be a replacements of a circuit breaker switch and just a check of one electrical outlet. We wanted to have a ceiling fan installed and a loose wiring connection checked out in our finished basement. I received a quote from another business on Yelp, but it took that company 3 days to get back to my initial request for a quote (which was also requested through Yelp). The folks at Mr. Value Electricians responded within a couple of hours. Although their quote was a little higher, I strongly believe in rewarding prompt and outstanding service, so I ended up going with them - I am sooo glad I did. Mark was our tech and he was great. Extremely knowledgeable and personable. He assessed the situation, provided his recommendations and then performed the work quickly and competently. He also provided a quote for some future work we'll have done (new pendant lights installation in the dining room) and we'll definitely use Mark and Mr. Value Electricians at that time. Another part of the process I appreciated were the text message and email updates. I received a text after the appointment was scheduled, a text when the assignment was given to one of their techs, a text when Mark was en route (as well as a phone call from him), and multiple emails as well. I cannot say enough good things about this company. I am pretty DIY but when replacing my last kitchen pendant there was a wiring issue from the previous fixture that blew something out. They came right out - knew the issue immediately and had it fixed. I had to have a light switch fully replaced and only issue was they didn't have a matching light switch - ivory vs. white - so now it is off in color but wanted fixed immediately rather than paying for them to have to come back out. Maybe will try to DIY that but we shall see but they helped with other electrical questions and were so professional - we know that any future projects will involve them. read more

We had an emergent issue with regards to our new electric dryer. From the time I called until Nick (technician) arrived was less than 30 minutes! Nick quickly diagnosed the problem, related to the wiring of the dryer. He documented it very well in the email invoice we received within minutes of his departure. As a new homeowner I greatly appreciate the professionalism and ease of use that Mr. Value provided. I purchased a groupon for them. Customer service called the day before to confirm my appointment time. The day of the technician, Chris, called me to let me know he was approximately an 30 - 60 minutes away. He arrived within 30 minutes. Upon arrival I let Chris know that I wanted to get my fuse box labeled (I'm a new homeowner and am not knowledgeable on any of this). He did a quick inspection and gave me several options to bring my home up to code. Although I was not able to afford all the services at the time I did end up having some additional work done. Afterwards he cleaned up everything and emailed me a list of the recommendations he had made. I definitely plan on using them again in the future. read more
