Mr Towing - Towing Near Me

Jack is amazing! He is always prompt and get me back on the road! I highly recommend! Thank you!!!

my twin sons had their battery die and we have towing insurance with progressive. mr towing was sent and meant to jump start the car or tow them to costco where we had a battery that was less than two years old and under warranty. instead he tinkered with my sons car and told them the battery was not good enough for the car and proceeded to charge them almost $400 for a battery. dishonest...taking advantage of kids. NOT COOL and filed a complaint with the dispatch agency. it seems they have a history of doing this. Why were my kids charged $384 for a battery? perhaps i got the situation wrong according to your reply but there are no batteries that are that expensive for a 4 cylinder subaru. you have a history of doing this...look at all your one star reviews...same story. you know what you are doing. you ripped off my 20 year old sons who will have to work for a week while studying in college to get that money back. read more

Called our insurance company for roadside assistance and they dispatched Mr. Towing. The driver immediately told us our battery was completely dead and showed us "0" on his battery meter. He then tried to sell us a replacement battery for $250 just for us . This was concerning because our battery had been replaced at Costco only 6 months ago and was still under warranty. Multiple red flags came up during the interaction, especially when he attempted to take our Costco battery instead of advising us about the warranty replacement option. When we insisted on getting our original battery back, his story suddenly changed. He then claimed he could "double jump start" the vehicle and suggested we drive it to Costco ourselves. This was after he had already installed his own battery into our car in an attempt to sell it to us. In the end, he was able to successfully jump start the car, and we did not purchase the battery he was trying to sell us. The entire experience felt misleading, unprofessional, and dishonest. read more

Wanted to say thank you for being solution focused and really giving princess treatment. I got a flat tire and the dad mode that was engaged from him, made my day. He was kind, made me feel safe, and even protected from the tire people who were trying to pull a fast one on me. He fought for a deal. When we realized it was a cash only place, he opened his wallet, pulled out the money and said it was ok if I venmo'd him. He did all that and more without asking and remaining completely professional. He was a true advocate for me and that meant more than he knew. You earned a loyal customer for life. read more

Beware. Trust the bad reviews and avoid this company at all costs. I have used them twice and both times were predatory, costly and very dangerous. Their address and phone numbers are not accurate (fake?) and customer service in non existent. They first refused to put on a spare for me when I had a simple flat, instead saying I could be only be towed or sold a costly new tire. Second occasion, they pretended my battery couldn't be jumped, insisted I needed a new one and refused to give me the old one back (which they promptly sold to someone else for $300) Luckily, the roadside assistance company, credit card company and insurance provider they contract with are on to this scam and they gave me refund and statement credit. The final touch is when Mr Towing heard of my concerns, they called me at home on a Sunday to make demands and say they were coming to my home. Beware! read more

Jack showed up late (forgivable) and "showed" me that my battery was dead and had to be replaced by showing me his multimeter, which was turned off. I had just checked it with my own and knew it had 6 volts. I knew I needed a new battery soon anyway, so I let it slide. Then he quoted me $375 for a new battery, which I said was a lot. He said the auto parts store 1/2 mile away wouldn't have the battery I need. They did, for $260. I also watched him write an invoice for my insurance company (was using their roadside assistance) for almost $3000. What a crook. I can't imagine what he does to even less suspecting victims. read more

Amazing service! Yesterday my car battery kicked the bucket, I called for a jumpstart but what I needed was a whole new battery. Jack from Mr. Towing helped me beyond what I could ever expect. Not only did he lend me a temp battery to get me home, but was able to find a new battery for half price AND come to my residence to install it. He helped me identify some other potential problem areas, some things to pay attention to and what my next steps should be. Can't thank you enough, Jack! read more

I called my insurance when I had a flat, and they sent my info to Mr. Towing. I immediately received a phone call from Mr. Towing letting me know he was on his way, and he arrived about 10 minutes later. He was very professional and competent, and I was on the road in less than 10 minutes. I've never had such prompt service and I'm so grateful to Mr. Towing for doing such a great job. Great help. Our battery died and they came so fast to change the battery for us. Checked oil and other staff for us. Thank you.

Very honest owner. I lost my wallet in El Cajon and Mr Towing found it and was kind enough to return it to me. Thank you thank you!!!

SCAM Roadside assistance sent them with fuel delivery. Our fuel tank float was stuck showing we were more full than we actually had so we got stuck on the side of the road on the highway at night. He showed up 3 minutes past the ETA window and said we had to pay $10 PER GALLON before he would fuel us up. When you're in those conditions with a 3 year old you don't argue and you get our of there. He tried to get me to pay through venmo and I said no. You could tell he was annoyed that he had to use an actual card reader thats is tracable. I called on star and they confirmed that we should not have been charged at all by Mr Towing. Onstar is escalating the issue and will hopefully remove them from their service providers list. I already disputed the charge with my bank and will be getting a full refund. read more

My daughter called the USAA for tow service, they sent Mr Towing. My daughter was told it was dead battery and they replaced it then charged her $400 for a battery that supposed to cost $120 the most. This is ridiculous. The Tow Truck driver took advantaged of her since she's a woman and does not know anything about battery, but it does not mean you have to take advantage of her. I saw the other similar review, and they are right, this Mr Towing is scammer. read more

SCAMMERS!!! I had called my roadside assistance for a jump. Took them awhile to get there but aside from that he didn't even give me a jump. He "checked" my battery and then told me "couldn't jump the car" since the battery was dead. I got the car 4 months prior and the installation date for my battery was June 2024. I knew he was trying to scam me. I called a friend and he gave me a jump and it worked perfectly fine. Went the extra step and took it to autozone just in case and battery was reading just fine. read more

My road side assistance insurance sent them to help my daughter with her vehicle since it was not turning on. He supposably tried three times with differnt chargers and was unable to turn it on. He offered to sell her a battery at 260.00 3 times to which my daughter said no. He then proceed to leave her there. My son and I had to drive all the way up to her location and was able to turn on the car the first time with a small Costco charger we carry around. I can not believe they do not have better equipment than what we had. I am sure he saw her a women, at night by herself and was just trying to get her to purchase an over priced battrery from him. Would not recommend. read more
