A5. Chicken Rolls

Love this family owned Thai restaurant! My favorite item is the Pad Thai. We got it medium the first time and it was on the spicer side for me, but when I got the mild I can definitely taste the sweetness on the Pad Thai. If you love sweet pad thai, you will love this! The drunken noodles were really good too! I'm excited to go back and try other dishes! Very friendly staff! Not many tables so there might be a wait when it's busy during dinner time.

Mr. Thai Bistro is an outstanding family-owned restaurant with excellent food and a welcoming atmosphere. It was fairly busy during a weeknight. The order: Pad Thai with chicken Drunken noodles with shrimp Chicken roll The good: The drunken noodles were the highlight--sauced perfectly and packed with flavor. The shrimp in the dish were cooked well, adding to the overall balance. The chicken roll was another strong point, arriving piping hot and perfectly crispy. The bad: The pad Thai was a bit too sweet for my taste, and the white meat chicken was on the dry side, definitely overcooked.

You know the food is good when it takes you back to fond memories... my God!!! The Mr. Thai Fried Rice Supreme took me back to San Francisco 30 years ago when I first had thai food. It was THAT good. We also had Pad See Ew and Coconut Ice Cream with Fried Bananas and again, chef's kiss moment!!! Cozy atmosphere and excellent customer service. I would vote this as #1 Thai food in East Valley -- possibly all of Arizona!!!

Everything here was hit out of the ballpark! We came because our normal place was closed and my goodness what a good decision! The food was immaculate tasting with the perfect amount of spice. We'll definitely be back.

The overall experience this is by far one of the best places to go to. You come in to a family owned restaurant where you are treated like family. The staff is absolutely fantastic and I truly felt like you are part of the Mr Thai family. I would highly recommend you go and enjoy the food. Enjoy the experience of being with such a wonderful family

Was the food great? Yes but honestly the best part was the service. They're very kind, attentive and keep the establishment tidy. I really enjoyed my time here and will definitely be coming back as a regular!

Crispy basil chicken

In the area and wanted to try this spot out for dinner. We ordered takeout since it was 830 and they were going to close at 9. The inside is a small dining room with 7 tables and all of them were occupied. We ordered veggie rolls as app and mango sticky rice for dessert. Hubby ordered the crispy basil chicken entree and I got the pad see ew with tofu instead of chicken. The pad see ew was flavorful but the noodles seemed soggy and the texture was weird for my liking, but the tofu and veggies were good. I will have to come back another time to try something else or give it another shot. Just wasn't feeling it this time. The hubby absolutely RAVED about the crispy basil chicken. He loved the flavor (sweet but savory with a hint of spice since he ordered level 1) and the crispness (not overly breaded so you can still taste the chicken), and the glaze and Thai basil was a great compliment to the whole dish. He was very impressed and even said he would get the same dish the next time we go again. The sticky rice was scrumptious and a great way to end the meal! Can't wait to go back and sit down for a meal there.

Mango fish, crisp and delicious.

First time here, willing to try due to great Yelp reviews. Average location in aging strip center. Inside, clean, neat and comfortable. Friendly greeting from what I assume is Mom and Pop. Wanting to try everything possible ordered the app combo. Favorite items, fried wontons. Wife had chicken satay and white rice. Not what I was expecting. Not skewered and grilled chicken strips. Instead, 3 good size pieces, curry flavor, more Indian style. I had Mango fish, and it was delicious. Large filet of a mild white fish, light crunchy coating and fried to perfection. The accompanying mango salad was vinegary and spicy, fresh and Herby. Served with a side of white rice. Plentiful portions, presented by very nice people. All the food had a great home made taste. This is a good, solid place to which we will return.

Food was delicious, portions are a bit smaller compared to other Thai locations. Lady at register was really kind. Inside was really clean and neat. I definitely will come again when in the area.

My friend and I met for lunch at Hooked Seafood Grill on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't too busy,…read moreso we were able to grab a table and order pretty quickly. They have a pretty basic menu, with some appetizers, and then all seafood options are available to be ordered as salads, tacos, sandwiches, and platters. My friend ordered the Garlic Butter Red Snapper sandwich and I got two tacos, one shrimp & one fried fish. We also got a side of fries (paid extra as there are no sides that come with the sandwich). My friend said her sandwich was pretty good, a bit messy to eat but had good flavors. That was the least expensive sandwich option, which was already a bit of a steep cost, the other were even more. If it came with fries or another side, it might have been a better deal. The additional side of fries we ordered were good though, nothing special, but nice and crispy as you'd want. While there was nothing inherently wrong with the tacos, it is interesting that all options have the same toppings (cabbage, tomatoes, onions, cheese, and white sauce); the protein is the only thing that's different. The fish was fried well and crispy, shrimp was pretty basic. There was a lot of cabbage and not enough sauce so I had asked for additional dressing on the side so I could basically eat the taco like a mini salad. The restaurant is nice and service was good while we were there. We had gotten soda and our server checked in on us multiple times to ensure we had everything we wanted. I'd order something else next time, like maybe the larger plate (with protein, rice, and salad) or just a traditional fish & chips basket that comes with coleslaw. Hoping for a better food experience in the future!

For an appetizer, we enjoyed their bread and butter, which was fantastic. The bread also came with olive oil and seasonings to dip it in, which was also very tasty. For dinner, I enjoyed their grilled cod with French and sweet potato fries, as well as coleslaw. What a treat. Exactly what I'm looking for in a Caesar salad. So good! The pesto on the Caprese was house made and so tasty. I want to try a pesto dish next time. My wife had the Sacchetti Porcini with truffle and it was light and perfectly balanced flavor. The pillows melted in your mouth. Will definitely have again. What a sad disappointment…read more We were excited to try this place and chose it to celebrate our 35th anniversary. We reserved a patio table since it was the only seating available, figuring it would be worth it if the restaurant lived up to the hype of the reviews. Unfortunately, it did not. From the moment we were seated, we felt overlooked. In a nutshell, the server was extremely inattentive. We were not acknowledged for at least 15 minutes which was extremely awkward as we sat dressed to celebrate, and feeling invisible. After finally placing our drink order, it took another 20 minutes for the drinks to arrive. To our dismay - they arrived warm. I ordered a Grey Goose Dirty Martini, and it was served warm. SMH. We also ordered the chilled jumbo prawn appetizer, which unfortunately arrived warm as well - even the cocktail sauce was warm. The shrimp, while large, were dry and flavorless. At that point, it became clear the food quality simply wasn't there. Meanwhile, my husband was already searching his phone for another restaurant. Thankfully, we managed to get into a new place just around the corner. After spending an hour and a half at Aqua, we paid our check and left. The new restaurant delivered exactly the experience we had hoped for - outstanding service, perfectly chilled martinis complete with ice chips, and an excellent meal. I'm honestly floored by our experience here, especially considering the glowing reviews this place receives. Maybe it was a one-off, but it was disappointing enough that we won't risk giving it a second chance.
