The food was absolutely delicious, I ordered the Taco Salad Bowl and I've had this in other places but this was amazing because instead of having the beans, guacamole, sour cream etc. on the side it was with the lettuce in the bowl, all of it . It was the best Taco Salad Bowl I have ever tasted. I will definitely come back to this Mr. Tequila again. My husband had the Chicken and Steak Fajitas and he said he totally enjoyed it, it was very tasty. The service was wonderful and our waiter was so nice and friendly. The ambiance was really extremely pleasant, even the pictures on the tables were so much more pleasant than most of the other Mr. Tequilas I have eaten at, this decor was so nice and this particular one was definitely very family friendly. Hand painted tables and ornate leather chairs and booths with intricate stud designs are the perfect backdrop drop for delicious Mexican cuisine and perfect service. Beautiful bar area where TV's abound and unlimited dining area seating make this one of my favorite spots. On 3/15/26 I ordered a takeout dinner from the Mr. Tequila at University Plaza Fort Myers not the new Mr. Tequila at the University Crossing Plaza Fort Myers. I realize the two locations can cause some ordering problems. When I arrived, I had to wait fifteen minutes for a new order to be made. When I sat down at home ten minutes later the dinner was cold and the chips stale and I promised myself never to order from either Mr. Tequila locations again. We visited this establishment yesterday 8/25. Anahi was our server. She was fantastic! The food was so amazing and portioned to take home leftovers. The decor is absolutely stunning! But the most impressive part of our experience was speaking with Anahi and she loves her job there. Even went on about how wonderful the owners are and how they run the business. She was so positive and happy. You rarely find an employee that will speak openly about how wonderful they feel about the company they work for. I truly hope this gets through to the owners to know they are doing amazing in how they treat their employees. This is so rare and beautiful. Please recognize Anahi as she made us feel amazing, took great care of us. Could not have had a better customer experience. And the food! Amazing! 1 appetizer and 5 plates for the group. As far as Mexican restaurants go this is one of the best. We have eaten at many, many and they are all the same (same menu and same non-distinguishing food); however; Mr Tequila is a step above. The food is delicious and service was impeccable. For vegetarians this is a delight especially since they have a vegetarian section. Their Garden Quesadillas with rice and beans were delicious. To top it off the decor is not your typical authentic old style Mexican but a nicer flair. This is now our go to Mexican restaurant. read more
