What an amazing experience! This was my first time here. It was packed on a Sunday evening. A friend of mine had just picked me up from the airport and we were on our way home to her house as I was in town visiting, yet starving. Fortunately, there were two seats at the outside bar so we plopped down. The bartender, Mia, immediately greeted us with a perky smile and hello. That set the stage for an amazing meal and experience, but let me elaborate. The menu was chock full of yummy options. How am I to choose? In true Krissy fashion I asked the bartender for suggestions and I chose the one she suggested: Cheesy Birria Shredded Beef Tacos. Boy did that not disappoint! But before we even get to that, let's start with the margaritas. Yes I did say margaritas- so plural lol They were made perfect and the most beautiful terra-cotta ornately designed glasses or mugs. I'm not sure what you would describe them but regardless they were beautiful. I was even tempted to 'gift' myself one, but thought better of it. All in all an amazing meal, definitely check it out !

Today we took a quick ride with Freckles to Babcock Ranch and looked for somewhere to have lunch. We remembered the outdoor dog friendly patio at M'Xuma and stopped there. We sat at a nice table in the shade and it was just a beautiful warm day. Mia was our delightful server and Dave had a Jailai and she made me a fresh cup of black coffee. There were chips and fresh salsa on the table. We both ordered fajitas, mine were grilled chicken and Dave's were Pastor. They came with flour tortillas, yellow rice, black been and salad with pico and avocado. The servings were extra large and we each took home half. Lots of chicken and veggies that were marinated and yummy. Freck got a nice cold bowl of water and loved being outside! We highly recommend this restaurant for its delicious food and great service!

Service by awesome Bar tender Miss Mia, she is so beautiful and so energetic and she knows her customers. So wonderful coming in and being recognized by the Staff. The restaurant has had some amazing service food, and upgrades that just make the ambience awesome. The food spectacular a must try. You will not regret.

Beautiful day to have lunch outdoors. We have not been to M"Xuma before and decided to give it a try. Friendly staff, our server Nikki was very helpful and sweet. My husband had the shrimp tacos and I had grilled chicken chimichanga. Very good, although I would have liked my chimichanga hot rather than warm. They give very nice portions. We look home a doggy bag for munching later ... Thank you for a good outdoor dining experience.

The food was fantastic. We love the enchilada and the tacos. Our server was so friendly. If you go there enough you become family. We always eat outside. The ambiance is comfortable and clean. The decorations are great.

Mzuma is a little of the path. So any time I'm in the area I need to make a stop and grad some good authentic Mexican food. Going back to one of my favorites, I had to sample the Christmas style burrito. They have outdoor seating so it's nice to sit outside and enjoy the air.

I like M'xuma a lot. They have some really great authentic Mexican dishes like gorditas but they also have some traditional dishes with a commercial twist to them, like the chilaquiles. We ordered the guacamole with chicharron and OMG that was out of this world. That in itself could be a meal. We love the outdoor seating, we took our dogs and the staff was so friendly and accomodating. We went the weekend before Halloween and we loved how family friendly it was, they were setting up for some festive activities.

Service was ok. The food lacked flavor / spice. Portions are large but expensive. Queso without chorizo was plain and uninspired. Shredded chicken was bland. 2TB sour cream is $2. Maybe they have new chicken staff. But I do not recommend

M'Xuma in Babcock Ranch was a decent experience! Their food was ok and didn't taste very authentic but their apps and drinks were great. We sat inside due to how busy it was but there was outside seating that looked great!

Birria burrito from about two years ago

We had a great experience at this place about two years ago, and my husband has been dreaming about the gigantic birria burrito he had back then. So we have it another try last night, and while I had a pretty great time, he was a little disappointed. The first time, the burrito was GIGANTIC, with a tortilla totally soaked in sauce, sides of onions and cilantro, and birria juice for dipping. This time, the burrito had just a little drizzle sauce, no sides, and the tortilla was cold and dry. I've included pics from last time and from last night for reference. The server said the burrito no longer comes with those toppings unless we wanted to pay extra. Our server Matt (?) WAS a life saver though, because he was able to advise about a lot of hidden gluten on the menu once I told him I had celiac (a major medical sensitivity). Nothing on the menu is labeled with gluten contents, and as it turns out, almost all the seasonings on the meat contain gluten! We were able to do just salt and pepper on mine to avoid me getting sick, but if he hadn't known and been proactive, I would have had a really bad night. I really like the place still, but I think it would be a super easy step to do some very basic swaps for seasonings that don't have pointless gluten content and to label some options on the menu. Plus, the birria burrito was pretty sad compared to the first one. Great drinks and service though!!

Had the open-faced (3ea) tostada (Chicken) with house creamy hot sauce.

Word's cant describe this type of service!! Me and my Fiancé have been on the keto diet for a little over a month now! Delyz offered us her personal spinach tortillas because of our diet! Was super informative of the menu and showed us several good options! Mia was also amazing! She never once let our down go without anything and was on top of it all! 100/10 RECOMMEND AND MAKE SURE YOU ASK FOR DELY AND MIA!!

I looked at the outdoor bar but every single seat was taken. All the outdoor tables were booked. So I went inside and saw the inside bar was also full. A table for ten and a table for 6 had departed and needed to be bussed, but both were too much for just one person. So I checked in w the hostess and she asked - booth or table. I wanted table. I got a nice table by the river! Lovely views. Exactly what I wanted. Menus were dropped and soon, Sam was checking in on me. I was so hungry, I had looked at the menu and pics on my way there. I went for the crab cake appetizer and the Gold Wave cocktail. For my entree, I was torn between the Grouper Reuben and the Sea Dog (fried grouper on a long roll, topped with all sorts of goodness). Sam said grouper Reuben was his choice. He asked if I wanted grilled, blackened or fried. I told him to surprise me. For my side, I had the choice of (more) coleslaw (it has coleslaw instead of sauerkraut), fries, sweet potato fries, or a side house or Cesar salad for $4 more. I went w the house salad and their standard citrus vinaigrette. Salad and crab cake came out first. Salad was a huge portion- romaine (some pieces needed better washing), red onion galore, halved cherry tomatoes and cucumber slices. It was great, but needed croutons. The crab cake was the perfect size for one person. It had a whole grain mustard remoulade sauce. Yum! It had some filler but also had a lot of crab. I enjoyed it. The grouper Rueben came out hot!!!! Served with a side of coleslaw and a pickle. I added some needed salt. Boy that fish filet was huge. Sam had put it in grilled for me. Healthy. Nice. I ate half and then I was stuffed. I filled up on the salad and crabcake apparently. I enjoyed the views of boaters going by. It started to rain hard and the folks outside just stayed there. The overhang must've been protecting them well. My server, Sam, was around often to answer my questions. Apparently the grouper Reuben market price is only $21. And if you want redfish or mahi, the price is the same- $21! That's crazy. What a deal. The gold wave is made with Elijah Craig; Good ol Kentucky bourbon. And for dessert, they have cheesecake, peanut butter pie, mud pie, key lime pie, coconut sorbet and orange cake (which he says is a local favorite). I was too stuffed to buy but happy to hear the list. Overall I had a wonderful meal and service was really good. I would recommend adding croutons to the salad, and cleaning up the bathrooms regularly. This place ain't fancy. It's a dirt parking lot. The tables are naked. Folks come casual. However, the prices are great and the food does the talking. Come check them out.

They used to have Kalick and Red Stripe beer but unfortunately they no longer carry those two beers. Our food showed up fairly quickly and was delicious. The Gator bites were tender with a light coating of breading. The Calamari was the same - tender and lightly coated. The salad was huge and really good except for the anemic tomatoes. Our server showed up only once to see if we needed anything (more water, please). The bill was very reasonable. Cheaper than most places for the Gator and Calamari.
