Went here for an after work lunch with my husband. It's a small inside spot with a bar and outdoor seating and lots of beers available. Service was very friendly, quick and attentive. We ordered our burgers medium well and they came out more medium but we are fine with it. I had the mushroom Swiss and my husband has the western burger. They both were tasty patties on a really nice bun that I've never seen anywhere else for a burger. Fries could've been better as they had very little salt/seasoning. After an exhausting day of work, my family and I decided to grab some lunch before hitting the road. Looking for something close by, we took a ride to Fat Katz! Going in, things were a little slow inside (everything is slower in the west coast lol), but we were seated quickly. There was a nice selection of draft beers, but we just ordered for lunch 1x mahi mahi sandwhich, 1x cheeseburger sliders, 1x fries, and 1x onion straws. Going into my review, the food was great! The mahi mahi sandhwich came on a roll but packed a great fish to veg ratio! Loved the onion straws, lightly battered and not heavy at all. The cheeseburger sliders were nicely cooked to a medium, seasoned well, but did wish they came with a special sauce. The fries even though not freshly cut, were seasoned perfectly and had a nice golden yellow color! Moreover, are server was friendly and very attentive. My partner and I spent 4 days in Naples and everything we had was middling quality at a high price. The coconut mahi sandwich was moist and flavorful, and my husband's Ruben was tasty and as he put it -"one of the best I've had outside of a big city". We are almost considered regulars at Fat Katz's slider bar so we finally decided to come into the OG! We had a good experience, good service, and the food was good! I do think that the slider bar location has better quality food: maybe it's something about the buns or how fresh it is when it comes out of the kitchen. The slider bar location always brings the food out right away and the sliders are always hot! Their bacon bleu and bistro burgers are always our favorite! Although the inside of this sports bar seems like the better place to be (more well-lit, friendlier atmosphere, TVs everywhere), we opted to eat outside on the patio, although it was kind of dimly lit. One server was very rush-rush: asking for our drink/food order within two minutes of us sitting down & without giving us time to look at the drink or main menus; later, this same server, in a very rushed way, put down our plates on the table & then, did not give us forks/knives, etc. until we asked for them. Those forks & knives ended up being on the dirty side, & she made a face when we asked to trade them in for a cleaner set. To be fair, another server was way more slow-paced & friendly. We stopped by Fat Katz for lunch with my parents while waiting for a flight at the Ft. Myers airport! The place was popping for lunch - it was clearly a crowd favorite in the area! Service was slow; however, I believe they were understaffed as we only noticed our server and a bartender. We all absolutely loved our sandwiches! - My dad ordered the Cheesesteak. - My husband and I shared the Cuban and the Reuben. We both agreed that the Reuben was our favorite! It was so tasty! - Our daughter had the kids grilled cheese and enjoyed that too! My mom ordered the Fat Katz Cobb Salad and this was hands down the best cobb salad that I have ever tasted! It was so good that I took a screenshot of the ingredients in the salad so that my mom and I can replicate it! The flavors of all of the ingredients just meshed so well together - spring mix, jerk chicken, red onions, goat cheese, pineapple, craisins, tomato, and sunflower seeds with lime vinegarette. I promise it's definitely worth trying! As a side, we all ordered fries except for my husband. He ordered the beans and rice. One bite and I instantly regretted my decision of ordering fries. The onion straws are the reason I'd go back to Fat Katz! They were amazing - oniony and crispy. Three of us devoured those straws! I ordered a mushroom Swiss burger which was good. Hubs ordered the fish tacos - said they were good but might have preferred the fish to be grill vs the deep-fried. Friend ordered the Cuban sandwich which she said was pretty good. We all orders the rice and beans since we were sharing a basket of onion straws. The rice and beans were okay - had some decent flavor though the rice was a bit "Al dente" for my liking. The last night of yet another quickie trip to Florida, and my Yelp friend Kimberly H's review piqued my interest. Fat Katz attracts locals who are there to eat, drink and yuk it up with friends. The patio is great. Plenty of tables with one efficient server; nobody was neglected! The house cab -- a generous pour -- was only $5. T's beer was $3.50. What a deal! My shrimp BLT was pretty good, but the side of rice and beans, prepared with ham and onions, was even better. With eyes bigger than our stomachs, we shared an order of onion straws; be warned, they're addictive! I have half a sandwich and both sides left over for breakfast tomorrow. (Don't judge me!) The menu lists a variety of burgers and sandwiches. My husband chose the pretzel burger which was good, but definitely overcooked. Fun evening. Casual dinner. We'll be back. This restaurant was very busy on a Thursday at lunchtime and obviously a spot of nearby workmen and other locals. All the staff were very friendly and hustling hard to get everybody their orders. We ended up with a couple grilled chicken sandwiches with side salads, along with some iced teas. The sandwiches were fine - decent rolls and seasoned chicken which hadn't been overcooked. So my bestie and I were in Fort Meyers for the weekend for a wedding and we were hungry for burgers. After a while of doing research of what's in the area, this place had the highest ratings (the options were extremely limited). We were a bit skeptical but honestly some of the best foods come from the least appealing places. Fat Katz has the ambience of your typical local sports pub/bar with the classic greasy floors and kinda sticky table tops and TVs with sports programs or random news all over the place. We had sat at the bar and there were 3 women running the place. The service was extremely hospitable! The food came out in a blink of an eye, which had us slightly concerned but not enough to stop stuffing our faces with goodness. What we got: Appetizer: Pierogi - We were surprised this was an option! The little fried empanada looking things were filled with a cream like filling that was real yummy and had a butter sauce with sautéed onions and bacon on top. The sautéed mix had a funky flavor so I stuck to just eating the pierogi plain. Burgers: both burger patties were cooked as desired and were very well seasoned. Both plates had fries as the side and man those fries were a lightly seasoned classic. My comments below are based off the whole burger as an entirety. The mushroom burger was composed of having a sautéed mushrooms with cheese and other basic goodies. The verdict was that although it was delicious, the mushrooms needed a little more seasoning to bring out some more flavors. I can't remember the name of the burger I got (pictured here) but it had cabernet infused mushrooms with a fruit jelly sauce and cheese w/ other ingredients. Overall good option if you are over by the airport. On the smaller side on the inside, but still packed and accommodated a lot of people! They had a nice outdoor seating area that is a great option if weather is permitting. The staff were all extremely nice and attentive - to everyone I heard them have an encounter with. Ordered the cheeseburger sliders which were good but nothing that would blow your mind or out of the ordinary for a plain burger slider with cheese. They do give pickles on side and then asked for mayo, ketchup etc. Also order the chicken Philly but there was actually not much chicken in the sandwich. Was a lot more bread the meat. That said, the meat had a lot of flavor (slightly on the salty side) and the onions and peppers were cooked perfectly - still a nice little crunch and not just super soggy. Super casual bar type restaurant. After reading reviews we decided it'd be a quick and easy spot to eat as a family that would have something everyone could enjoy. As recommended we tried the white shrimp appetizer. It was as delicious as stated. I had the Fat Katz Cobb salad and ate every last forkful. While I expected a little more spice to the jerk chicken it was perfect. The lime vinaigrette that comes with this salad is probably one of the best dressings I've ever had. My kids loved the food too. In fact my picky 10 year old not only finished his entire bacon cheeseburger but he then asked for chicken tenders and ate those too. A complete win. We were seated immediately and it seemed to be a teamwork environment. While we had our main waitress it was clear the staff didn't mind helping each other out for the sake of the customer. Stopped by here because I really wanted a good burger. It is a small place with TV's all along the walls. Good menu with a variety of burgers and sandwiches. We had two issues that affected our total experience. One was that the servers did not stop back by after dropping off the food. I did want to try some of the beers from the local brewery taps but the server did not return until we were done and ready to go, so no beer sales for me. The other was in the cooking of the burger, I ordered medium rare and it came more well done. With no server returning, I just made do and ate the parts that were not dried out.
