I was referred by a friend who had a good experience with getting a nose piercing. She states that she and her friend walked in and received great service by a young man. I unfortunately did not get to experience any service I walked in and was told by an older man that piercing is by appointment only and I given many excuses on why I could not get my nose pierced including that I would pass out. I was told that the next available opening was 3:30pm. I called at 3:38pm and was told that the next available appointment was 4:30pm. It seems as if this shop does not want my business. read more

So this is just in response to the most recent post left by Rachel. I want to verify that the person she was greeted by, was me.. the older man.. Hello, I'm Vinny.. the piercer here at Mr.Tattoos. I've been working here for 8 years. Now, you came in super polite.. as was I. I want to clarify, that this isn't my job.. this is my career. This is how I put food on my tables.. pay my bills.. this isn't just a hobby for me. I take my position extremely serious. Now, you came in asking if you could get your nose pierced.. and I explained.. that I work off of appointment and my next current availablity will be at 3/3:30. And you explained to me.. that, that won't work for because you were catching a plane and had to be on the road by 3pm to Philly international. So, I explained, I'm sorry but I'm currently setting up for my 1:30 appointment (which did walk in 6 minutes later), but I then explained that I can't rush a piercing because there's so many things that could happen.. a mistake.. oppurtunity to pass out.. that you can't rush the process no matter the situation because you never know what could happen. I then, proceeded to say, which way are you heading.. I can look to recommend a shop you your way that we are friends with to ensure you can the piercing done. You then were like, my friends referred me here.. which I super respect.. but.. if you talk to them, they will say.. Vinny is absolutely awesome!! Because, I am. I take all my clients super serious. So, you said that won't work that you'll just have to come a different time. You then called on the phone, saying that you can do the 3:30.. at like 3:50.. but, people already then called in and took that time slots. I said, my next availability spot now.. is now 4:30. So you proceeded to get mad at me, for taking other appointments that wanted to confirm the spot? How is that fair? You then were aggressive on the phone saying I'm going on yelp right now, and leaving a bad review. I said, excuse me I couldn't here you.. our WiFi is bad.. so you said it again and I insisted saying no worries!! Next time I hope we can settle an exact appointment time.. but, I take pride in my reviews and my word.. if someone would like to bash me.. I'd atleast want the oppurtunity to explain our side. I'm sorry you had a bad experience, but I would like you to know.. that I can't rush for anyone or anything. I would and will, will continue to give you the same respect. I went in to get nose jewelry changed out by (I believe it was) Blake. He was very patient and kind! I hadn't changed out my nose ring in a couple years so it was very stuck and difficult to remove. I needed it removed by a certain day for a medical procedure and at first it wasn't budging, but he made sure I would be able to meet with another piercer in case we weren't able to get it out today. He ended up being able to remove it today and had me practice putting in and removing the stud that I switched to. 12/10 would recommend! read more

The place is great, clean and friendly. Just one thing the prices are high as a rock. Went for a small cover up and paid $166.00. Not sure where Jeff (the person who did my cover up got that price but holly molly dude). A small plain black dauphin on the side of my wrist. Now I know they normally are expensive and I have had a bigger cover up on my back with 3 big flowers and paid almost the same amount. Also the whole time Jeff made me feel like he was doing me a favor and not his job, the price wasn't mentioned to me until after we got done. MAYBE because Jeff and his owner saw a female who wanted to get this cover up no matter what and decided to charge the price they did. Will never go here again and will make sure to pass my experience to others. read more
