This was my first time catering tacos for a party and I am super happy I decided to go with Mr. Tako. We had a smaller party of 20-25 people so lots of other caterers didn't want to service us based on that. We are super happy that Mr. Tako was able to work with us and find the best deal! We ended up having TONS of food left over! The quality of the meat was delicious and Enrique was super responsive throughout the event. He made sure we were all well fed and constantly refilled the salsas and condiments section. I will definitely be hitting them up next time we need some tacos :) Please please do get in touch with them if you are less than 50 people since that is the minimum for most taco catering companies in the valley! read more

We had Mr. Tako at our house to provide a taco bar for a going away party. Enrique was so warm and professional. And my guests (about 50) kept commenting on how delicious the food was throughout the party. Even the next day my son said the quesadillas were "devious" -- which means really good. Ha! The horchata was also excellent. I HIGHLY recommend them and they'll be back to our home. read more

Wow!!! The best tacos I literally have eaten in the valley! As a taco eater like many others tacos are based on the quality of the meat and sauce! Agree? Well Mr.Tako is the real taco spot.. the family who owns it runs it themselves and out there soul into these tacos. TRUST ME! BOMB!!! If you guys hire them you'll probably be in heaven like me because I'm calling them back. Thank you Enrique and Sylvia for the great tacos and great service! I'll be taking your catering services as well for my next party!!! read more

Mr. Tako - Just add your Sauce! This is my to go after eating a bunch - Caterers Near Me

Somewhat tasty tacos: carne asada/al pastor. We had Mr. Tako at the Granada Hills Friday Food Truck meet. I thought the tacos weren't too shabby ($2 a pop). I did think the tacos lacked a flavorful taco taste though! The carne asada was a bit dry and needed more taste, the al pastor was super greasy. BUT would I eat their tacos again? Sure would. Just average, but enough to eat their tacos again! read more

Wow!! What more can I say about Mr. Tako and their whole team/family. My wife and I booked them for an 80th birthday celebration for my wife's grandmother. My wife and her family wanted authentic food, and you can't get more authentic than tacos!! I contacted them about 1 week 1/2 before the event and let's just say they contacted me back and was booked within 15min! They were incredible responsive, professional, and easy to work with. On the day of the celebration, they graciously set up everything about 30-45min before our guests arrived. The food was ready to be served and they were friendly and served our guests with the utmost excellence!! The tacos and quesadillas package was delicious, incredibly reasonable in price, amd UNLIMITED!! They provided condiments that complimented the tacos as well! If you are in search of authentic tacos that are not only delicious, but a company that is professional and outstanding in service! Hire Mr. Tako for your next event! I'll be booking them again soon!! :) read more

On time, prepared and great food and service. My guests loved the food and we had some awesome leftovers.

Man do I love this place!! One of the best food trucks in the valley! If you ever find yourself in Van Nuys or coming off the 405 late, do yourself a favor and stop on by Mr. Tako for some great food! All of their meat is marinated to fall off the bone deliciousness and they make everything by hand including their salsas. A major plus is that the owners are so genuinely nice, I've had multiple conversations with them and each time I leave happy, full and fat. read more

Mr. Tako - Have you ever seen a nicer presentation from a food truck? No, no you have not. - Caterers Near Me

My first visit to Mr. Tako was last night, September 24th, after wrapping up a production for a web series in Van Nuys; it won't be my last visit though, for sure! Getting the plates makes your tacos come out to $1.50, and with the crafting and portion size that is put into these tasty treats it's a steal of a deal for the best tacos I've had in some time! Unfortunately on Wednesday night they don't have the full menu so I wasn't able to try their lengua, but with their amazing and timely service, great taste, and fun conversation, Mr. Tako assured I'll be back to tackle some more tacos real soon. read more

Are use Mr. Tako Last minute due to my other taco person and flaking on me. But they were great in responding so quickly to days before my event. Showing up on time and set up was a breeze. But the food hands-down have to say one of the best tacos that I've had at a party. They had a lot of other options so I got quesadillas for the kids. I would highly use them again and would recommend mended them for your party read more

Trying to get in touch with you. Do you do catering ? I am doing my sons 1st birthday.

Best taco catering in town. They use fresh ingredients and high quality meats. I got catering for a party and Enrique showed up early to prep and set everything up. My guests were very impressed with the tidy and organized set up, as well as by the delicious varieties of tacos that Enrique made for us. We had carne asada, pollo asado, carnitas, and tripe. The tripe was insanely good. You could tell he's been doing this for a while. read more

Tacos- yum!!! Enrique and his team were great, I will definitely be calling them again. They made chicken, pork, and carne asada tacos, plus rice and beans for my family of about 25. Mr. Tako - a man in a sombre hat eating a burrito - Caterers Near Me

My wife and I hired these guys to cater our wedding back in March and they did such an excellent job. We had about 25 guests and nobody left hungry. There was even enough after the event to take home which was also a bonus because the meat (Carne Asada/ Al Pastor), chicken and rice/beans were amazing. Enrique was very accommodating when it came to set up and after the event was over he made sure everything was wrapped up and no messes were left. Overall the experience was great and the food was delicious. read more

Best idea for a Cinco de Mayo/ Birthday party if you don't want to deal with the cooking for the party! They came on time, actually a little earlier which wasn't a problem at all and everything was set up nicely. Everything they said they were going to provide was there from the meats to the tortillas the salsas and even the utensils/napkins! What more could I ask for?!?! Everyone said the food was delicious and were asking about the name of the caterer so yay for referrals! Lol Thanks again Mr. Tako and we'll see you again for the next party! ;D read more

I wish I could give this company 10 stars! My caterer cancelled on me 3 days before Cinco De Mayo. Sylvia figured out how to make it happen for me. Everyone loved the food and she was on time and worked hard. She's the best! Call her today! read more

@rancherochido4 There are 3 categories of food trucks that roam the streets of LA. There are your standard roach coaches as people call them that serve basic American and Mexican fare to businesses and construction sites. The catering trucks that serve the movie industry sort of fall into this category as well but the food is much better. Then you have the GFT's, (Gourmet Food Trucks). These are the ones with the fancy paint jobs, small menus and in many cases a trained chef on board. Then you have the Mexican Taco trucks. That's the category Mr. Tako belongs in. They serve basic street tacos with 11 meat choices, burritos, quesadillas and so forth. I should point out here that this particular one is a small trailer with mama inside slinging up some good home made Mexican street food. I tried 3 of their tacos, chicken, chorizo and lengua, (beef tongue). The chicken was the most bland of the 3 and tasted pretty average an L.A. street tacos go. The lengua on the other hand was very good with good texture and great flavor. This was the star of the 3. The chorizo was perhaps a little tastier than the chicken but that spicy chorizo flavor wasn't there. The service was friendly and the prices are dirt cheap, so that's all a plus. Still in all I would eat at this truck again and that's really the best barometer isn't it? And being the generous stalker that I am I'm rounding their 3.5 stars up to 4 Which is enough to get them...... STALKER APPROVED read more

I call Sylvia to cater our parties and my guests always ask for her number. She is awesome to work with and the tacos are amazing. I would recommend her to anyone that is having a party or if your doing the food walk thing on Chatworth on Friday nights then stop by and try them. The tacos are absolutely delicious. read more

One of the best Taco Trucks I've eaten at. I highly recommend their Carnitas Taco. Their service is fast but not half assed. The lady that was working even gave me a free bottle of water. If you're out late and craving some good Tacos, this is the place for you. read more

Woah, very surprised this meat is fresh and very great tasting. This guy can cook!! He will work a deal and you will be satisfied.

I really enjoyed the wonderful food. The service was amazing. He was professional , on time, and on point. I would have him do every party.

Definitely not open 24/7 and address is for residential property. They need to redo the description on Yelp. Drove 20 min to check this place out for nothing. read more

We used Mr. Tako for a party last year with 40 guests. Silvia and her crew did such a fantastic job, that we used them again this year for our party with 70 guests! They easily served everyone with their choice of 3 different unlimited tacos, quesadillas, and guacamole! It was so easy! The condiment buffet was arranged nicely and looked great. They provided chips, grilled onions & jalapeños, cucumbers, red & green salsa, plus more! But most importantly.... everyone LOVED THE FOOD! We will definitely use Mr. Tako again.... read more
