Being 2 years living Beaumont, I pass by Mr. Taco often in my way to visit my parents in Hemet, and always wondered if it would be a good spot for Mexican. Their menu looks extensive, so I thought.. it can't disappoint. I ordered their chicken taquitos and husband ordered a steak torta. The taquitos were thick, stale and bland. The rice tasted bland and was obviously not authentic Mexican rice. The husband's torta was flavorless with a paper-thin bread (which obviously fell apart). We got a small paper bag to get tortilla chips from their tortilla chip and salsa bar, but the chips were too greasy and stale. Service was quick for our to-go order. Our friends took us here for dinner. It's Right off the 10 freeway in Beaumont with plenty of parking. Beautiful Latino decor! Cashier was really friendly and so was everyone else .. best thing they have caguamas! prices are fairly reasonable. Tacos are 250. The only things that are pricey are the drinks. But they are well worth it. They have a Michelada mix that is spicy but very delicious. Service is extra fast! My food was at my table before I even finished at the salsa bar. My husband and I ordered the grill shrimp taco 15/10!! One of the best I've had. Great flavor and the sauce was exceptional! Also Pastor and Carne Sada were lacking a little flavor, but we're very good as well. Was really hoping to add another great taco place to my list but this unfortunately fell short. The ambiance and service is fantastic. Great music playing with plenty of TVs also going on. Great menu and fast service. They have a good chips and salsa bar. 3-4 of the drink dispensers were not working though. We had Carne Asada tacos and I also had a shredded beef hard taco. The presentation of the food pooked great. However the Carne Asada was generous amount but was cold...not warm...cold and also had an odd aftertaste. I visited Mr Taco this past weekend for lunch and found the food to be quite yummy. I ordered the chile relleno plate with rice, which was really good and oh so cheesy (can't go wrong with that) and a side of beef taquitos. The portion sizes are quite large so I ended taking the taquitos home and they came out great even after being re-heated. There is a soda fountain and aguas frescas available with free refills and a salsa bar with tortilla chips that you can grab so that's a plus. As far as dining area goes, inside was abit crowded and loud with kids running around so I ended up sitting outside. It took a couple rounds to find an empty table that was wiped down and not underneath a TV screen with a game on. Also, the music was quite loud and just before leaving, someone came over and turned the volume up even more (!). For those reasons, minus one star. Overall, I was impressed with the food and would check it out again. read more

The food quite possibly the best I've had outside of Mexico. The wait staff always, and I do mean always, make it a pleasure to be there.

Being stuck in traffic we saw the sign and figured "Why not?". Figured it's just another Taco Place. Walking in we were shocked at each step and each corner of what an amazing find this was. As we walked in we saw the kitchen behind glass, indeed spotless, yet a couple of people were cleaning up, ahead of the after work rush I assume. Looking at prices of taco we expected to have your standard size tacos, so we each ordered 4 tacos, and a Michellada. We saw them pour their home made mix into a cup and gave us the beer. Amazing mix as we taste it. Then we were given a paper plate and some little containers for chips and salsa bar. The bar was spotless, and very well stocked. We picked up some chips and salsa and went to sit. Place is large, lots of TV, and looks like a great hangout place. A few minutes later food arrived and our table and I was indeed shocked. These were large size tacos, and Loaded with veggies and stuff on them. What you see in the picture is what came to our table. I looked around and saw that everyone's food is kind of the same. Beautifully loaded. We were hungry, so we started eating before even thinking of taking pictures. I could only finish 2 and half of the Tacos ordered. And they were all fantastic. Fish was fresh, shrimp was well cooked, and the Carne Asada was great. I kind of drive by 10 FWY in Beaumont on the way to my cabin, and from now on, I will stop by this place to have some Tacos, and I will get some stuff to go. Located on the east side of Beaumont Avenue. Entering from northbound Beaumont Avenue, it's an easy right hand turn into the parking lot. If you're entering from southbound Beaumont Avenue, it can be challenging turning left when there's traffic. If so, you can enter off of E 1st Street and Magnolia. There's plenty of seating inside, plenty of covered patio seating, and plenty of seating outside under the tables with umbrellas. For this stop, I opted to get my order to go. I went with the Beaumont Burrito with carne asada this time. I phoned my order in and was told my order would be ready in about 10 minutes. When I arrived and walked in, I was greeted with a friendly welcome. There was only one person in front of me ordering/paying, so the wait wasn't very long. I arrived about 10 minutes after calling in the order, and when I got to the register it was ready to go. In addition to food, they also have t-shirts for sale now!
