I will start by stating that my family and I have been frequenting El Mariachi since they opened. For years I have been happy with their food and service. The employees have always been friendly and helpful. I like to have a Relleno and Enchilada and they have no plate for that. However, they have always accommodated my desire and provided me that dish. With an occasional mis-order this was my favorite Mexican Restaurant in Yucaipa/Beaumont. However, recently there seems to have been a change. They re-organized the seating and counter and seems that the friendly employees were gone and others replaced them. Sort of like Invasion of the Body Snatchers. LOL. They were not willing to make the combo of cheese enchilada and Relleno. Request for no cheese and the item would inevitably have cheese. Hold the cilantro or salsa, get home and there it would be. So, come to tonight. My wife called to see if they had ground beef tacos and the employee in a snotty tone "No, just shredded and Asada" then hung up. Not allowing for a follow up. Wife called back and asked if they had tamales. The employee asked "did you not just call, we do not have ground beef and we do not have tamales." and again, she hung up. My daughter then went down and placed our order. We have one person that is allergic to cheese and does not like cilantro. So the street tacos were asked to hold the cheese and cilantro. When they came out my daughter caught that they had cheese. Back they went. When she got home they had cilantro. The asada almost tasted like it was boiled and the tortillas I had for my Asada taco was old so when folded they broke. I have cheese enchiladas and the cheese was not even melted. One good note? Their enchilada sauce is the best. So, I give them a star being in business and a star for their great sauce. I think I will be going to La Mexicana in Yucaipa, farther to go but the food is now better. read more

so many people are complaining about the food poisonings of this place!! I have been getting sick from here for a while now esp after eating menudo.. Just so everyone knows we went to the dr. and we have had blood work and stool samples done. I will be turning this into the health board along with the photos! My wife had to wait a good 15 minutes to see the owner manager. He actually tried to gas light her, saying she was the first to ever complain and that the menudo they serve is clean...and she just laughed in his face. She said we could either do this the nice way or we could do it it the legal way... so now she will be making the call Dont give Up!! Keep calling! I am now documenting each episode of where a GROWN MAN gets sick as a dog, from the Explosive diarrhea. Iam elderly man that forgets a lot of things. I almost ended up in the ER cause there were streaks of blood from, my bowels. Thank you to everyone who reported this here., Now I have proof that I am not crazy! I encourage anyone who would like to bring a class action lawsuit to come forward. Take photos and call the health department as many times as you need to. Instead of looking at the customer and APOLOGIZING and saying We will see what we can do to work with you to solve this, NO you smarted off to and tried to gas light! This was Saturday July 6 2024 at aprox. 10 in the morning. I have felt much better for 5 days now every since I stopped eating there. read more

Outrageously priced. Because of previously terrible visits, it has been at least 2 years since I've been back here, hoping that I could just get chips w/ cheese & guacamole.... cant' screw that up very badly could you? $6.50!!! When I got home & opened the box, there was only enough guacamole for about half of the chips & very little cheese. I actually had to make my own guacamole & add my own cheese to it, which is what I was hoping to avoid by going there in the first place! Next time, I'll go to Stater Brothers next store & buy $6.50 worth of tortilla chips... this place is still lame, lame, LAME. read more

This place used to be awesome. It used to be the best Mexican fast food in Beaumont. I'm not sure what's happened but something's changed. Cold food, dried up old looking asada and wrong orders. It's too expensive nowadays to deal with subpar food! I still have some hope they'll get better, but it's not worth the risk anymore, especially for the price of fast food these days. Sad. read more
