Mr. Sweeps was very thorough and easy to talk with. He explained everything in detail. He came out and cleaned/fixed our chimney at a very affordable price. I think it was only $90. My experience with Mr Sweeps was great from the first phone call to paying the bill. Speaking of the bill, their prices are the best I could find. Other companies could schedule me for December! But Mr Sweeps was able to take care of our chimney sooner. Tanner, the technician is the best. He is really efficient. He was able to get here sooner than the scheduled time. I'm a stay at home Nana so that was great for me. We are new in the area and this is our first fireplace. After Tanner finished up, I asked if he knew where I could get good firewood. He recommended me to call Doug Callaway (Mr Sweeps himself!). Doug was very patient with me and answered all my silly questions, he basically educated me about my fireplace. They showed up on time, but, the tech appeared to be on something, not to mention he wasn't wearing any kind of identifying work clothes. I have it all on my Ring Doorbell Video. The owner Doug accused me of video taping his tech without his knowledge, but everyone knows, Ring Doorbell's are motion activated. To start, he blew snot out of his nose into my porch bushes and was acting like he was in a big hurry and acting very sketchy. He received a phone call while at my house, and it sounded like a friend wanted to know when he got off work. He "cleaned" my fireplace in about 10 minutes. Or I should say, he vacuumed it. My fireplace hasn't been cleaned in at least 8 years. He didn't use any brushes and only vacuumed inside the actual fireplace, and never cleaned the actual chimney. I asked him to go on the roof to make sure things looked good, he did and took 2 pictures down the inside of the chimney. He texted me the pictures, the chimney is still dirty and he never cleaned it. After all of this, 20 minutes from the time he walked in, to the time he drove off. I was charged $95. I contacted the owner of the company on Monday, and I received the most RUDE text ever! NO CUSTOMER SERVICE whatsoever! Doug the owner basically told me I had "buyer's remorse" and told me "you can please some of the people some of the time, but not all of the time". Told me to "call another company because they love when customers are mad and will find LOTS of unnecessary expensive work". Doug the owner told me he would refund 1/2 my money, but it's been 10 days and 2 texts and I haven't received any refund. He's mad at me because I told him I had everything on video and told him that his tech should probably not do drugs before a job. This company is NOT "certified" to tell ANYONE if their fireplace is in good sound condition or not, to start a fire. They ONLY "clean". I was NOT happy with the service I received and Doug the owner doesn't CARE! Yes, he's cheaper than other companies, but now I understand WHY. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, FOR YOUR OWN GOOD!!! I booked an appointment with this company for this past Friday. Unfortunately, they guy never showed up, BUT he said he did and that I was not home. He even took a picture of a house claiming it was mine and it wasn't my house. The owner was not really concerned even after I told him I have a Ring Doorbell and his tech never showed up. I work from home, so I was home all day. I said I wanted to rebook, but the owner wouldn't commit to a specific day....only...one day next week. I've already booked with a company with top ratings that can be at my house on Monday. STAY AWAY from this company. Mr. Sweeps Chimney Cleaning Service is great!! I heard about him from my neighbor and decided to call him to clean my dryer vent. He came right on time and was very professional. My dryer vent is in the middle of the house, so he cleaned in my laundry room and went on my roof to clean the upper part of the vent. (I called 5 businesses prior to get quotes and some of them won't even get on my roof!) The service time was about 30-45 mins. His price was the lowest from the other businesses I called.
