She scheduled an A/C tech to come to my house that morning between 8am and 10am. James showed at 930am and started to troubleshoot the problem. Found a run capacitor not working and replaced it. Added refrigerant and checked the operation of the unit. The whole job took him about 30-40 mins and was completed in a very professional and courteous manner. One hot Friday night in Texas, I noticed that the house wasn't cooling. I checked the thermostat…read moreand it was unpowered. I've seen this before: blown fuse. I changed the fuse and it blew again. Hmmm... I checked all the connection and they seemed fine. That was the extent of my troubleshooting. Something beyond my limited experience was at issue. In the morning, I called around. I kept getting AI answering systems and they all pretty much said the same thing...Monday. I tried Radical Heating and Air and got a human being by the name of Kevin. The "radical" must be getting an actual live human being to answer. He said he was on job and would head over as soon as he was done. Same day service, cool! (no pun intended) As things sometimes do, it ran later for Kevin, but he kept me informed. He was over in the late afternoon and found the issue fairly quickly (experience pays) as he's seen this before with the Amana units. A wire rubbed on some tubing in the heat pump and presto: Short. He taped it up and we were back to a cooling household. He stuck around to make sure everything was working. I highly recommend Radical Heating and Air.

He's helped me keep my 1992 units alive, but the day he says they need to be replaced I can fully trust him (which is a rare thing) and truly know they need to. Great guy and I highly recommend him
