My wife and I had delayed replacing flooring in the common areas of our home because we were not…read moresure what we wanted and we dreaded the workload of preparing for the installation. We visited KD Floors based on the number of positive reviews. We decided to go with them for several reasons: (1) the sales staff patiently answered our numerous questions and worked with us to select the right flooring for us (engineered hardwood). (2) KD Floors has its own installation crew, so they do not contract out install jobs. and (3) the price was competitive with other locations we had shopped. Once we selected the product, KD Flooring sent an estimator out to take measurements and they provided us an estimate the next day. The estimate included removing 600 sq. ft. of ceramic tile and installing 1200 sq. ft. of engineered wood flooring. We delayed ordering the flooring and scheduling the install for several months due to Covid 19, but scheduled for July and paid 1/2 of the estimate as deposit. The installation crew spoke limited English but were very professional and did an outstanding job. They arrived on time, coordinated with us as necessary, and cleaned up at the end of each day. No complaints, they did an excellent job. The only complaint I have, as constructive criticism, is the lack of follow up by the sales office. After we received the estimate via email, there was no follow-up via phone or email even though we did not call to schedule for several months. I could dismiss this since we received the estimate in early March, just as the Covid 19 issues was flaring up. However, there was not one call during the install to see how things were going, and no call after the installation to ensure we were satisfied; just an emailed invoice for the balance. We are very happy with our new floors, and will use KD Floors again in the future.

After more than 25 trips…read moreto "right their wrongs" - damaged gutters, 9 ceiling repaints due to two roofers falling through our roof, improperly installed shingles, failing drip edge, damaged fascia... the list goes on and on - we decided to contact Firefighter Roofing to come look at our home. We were blessed to be assigned Matthew H. to our job, and couldn't be more disappointed that we didn't go with these guys first. Matt arrived on time, communicated throughout the entire ordeal, spent over an hour looking over the roof, offered invaluable advice, and never disparaged the other company despite the COUNTLESS issues he uncovered. We are working on options to get our roof corrected and will absolutely call Firefighter Roofing if we're allowed to deviate from the original roofing company. There's nothing I appreciate more than people who carry themselves with character, respect, integrity, clear communication, and honest feedback. HomeAdvisors.com gave me contact info on five chimney service organizations and I initiated an Request For Proposal (RFP) exercise. Some visited my home to build the estimate while others based their quote on digital photos I sent them. Corinna was great and very personable each and every time we spoke over the phone. James has the heart of a teacher and was very patient with me throughout the repair. Together we refined the scope of work and we agreed on a fair amount for service. They were right in the middle of the quotes (price wise) compared to the other outfits. My interaction with Corinna and James is what won me over. On the day of repair, James and Aaron showed up early and went right to work. I worked form home that day and at times I would stop and observe what they were doing. They took special care to control debris during demo, ensuring nothing fell into the pool. They worked throughout the day and I'm very, very pleased with the finished product. We went so far as to install preventative measures to reduce the chance of wood peckers returning to my chimney. Andy and Alex are amazing!…read more I'll start by saying when I looked to do this remodel for my dad's bathroom I had a few companies that responded with similar and reasonable quotes... but I just really liked Andy. He seemed to be down to earth and honestly was the first one to reach out to me and was at my house on the same day giving a quote. Andy and Alex are fair priced, punctual, knowledgeable, clean (as clean as one can be during construction), respectful, creative and all-around great guys. They communicated everything (timing, cost, start, finish). They worked hard (even thru the weekend), stayed on schedule and they completed the project one day earlier than thought. How refreshing! Alex did a great job with his creativity in blending some of the floor material with the shower tile to break it up and give it some character. I appreciated his ideas. During the construction I was worried about our two fur babies, very curious cats. You know they get into everything. I was pleased as a pet owner, the crew made sure the cats did not escape. After I had paid and the project was essentially by definition done, but not 100%. I could've done the final touches (shower rod, touch up painting, cabinet knobs, sealing the new tile).... But Andy did return to finish and complete all of it. He also took out an extra 15 minutes of his day to install a new fan I bought for my bedroom at no cost, just being a nice guy. Thanks for going above and beyond! I've been ghosted by so many companies... after the job is done and they've been paid, all of the sudden it's like they don't know you. To say I'm beyond satisfied is an understatement!! I recently had a horrible experience with a large company and was completely put off so finding someone that I respected and liked, was very important to me.
