PSA - Do not use Mr. Sugar Rush for any events! I know a lot of our schools and neighborhoods have used this company. Our PTA booked their truck last May for an event. I paid the $1440 with my credit card and was reimbursed by the PTA. I've done no business with them since. This company recently charged my credit card $1440 TEN different times!! When I first discovered it, I reached out to the owner because I've dealt with him a few times over the years. He claimed it was a billing error and that he'd refund immediately. He didn't so I disputed all the charges and cancelled my credit card. This was February 11th. Then on February 24th, he sent me a fake refund receipt via email. My credit card company has confirmed no refund was issued. They said even if I couldn't see it posted yet, they would see it on their end. When I called him about this, he claimed it was an issue with Citi's software and then proceeded to block my phone number. My credit card company will eventually refund me after the investigation is complete. It has been an extremely time intensive process for me to file all the claims. I think it's very important that I share this information! I have no doubt I'm not the first customer he's done this to. I plan to report this company to the Better Business Bureau as well as the financial crimes department of DPD. read more

I worked for Mr Sugar Rush for a year. I saw firsthand numerous clients that they were supposed to be fundraising for that never received the check for Mr Sugar Rush. I also invested in Mr Sugar Rush and the entire balance of the loan is now in default. read more

I would not recommend using Mr. Sugar Rush for school or neighborhood events. Our PTA booked them for an event at our Title I public school, which means a significant number of our students come from low-income households and school resources are especially limited. After the event, there were several large unauthorized billing issues, and the owner has not made it right despite saying he would. This has taken time, energy, and money away from a school community that works hard for every dollar. Please be cautious before booking this company. read more

The location is in an industrial area and we felt unsure of the location until we saw the ice cream truck. We parked and proceeded to go into the shop. The staff member was friendly and let us choose our treats within minutes until closing. It was greatly appreciated. The ambiance was not the typical sweet shop in the sense that you didn't see the freezers of ice cream on display. There were a couple of office desks, computers and couches. There were many options from ice cream to shaved ice. I went with some ice cream, which was a maple pecan flavor, it was okay. I may have picked the wrong flavor for me. It had good consistency. Bait and switch. Major menu items ordered were not delivered and items not shown on menu were substituted and of lower value. I was not contacted prior to be told of the substitutions. Ordered 120 servings and they only delivered 55. Confirmed with the delivery truck that they only had 55 servings however, their office claimed differently. Buyer beware. read more

Best ice cream I've had in years! I know a thing or two about ice cream. I ran a candy/sweets company for 7 years, and we made our own ice cream. These guys have a solid base and the flavors are wonderful. We caught them on an off day, and they still took great care of us. I will ALWAYS come back and see these guys. Do NOT HIRE them. They double charged me for an event. Which I emailed and spoke to the owner and he said I would be reimbursed for the over charge, but I never received the credit. He never showed up for the event! So, not only did they double charged me for an event but they never showed nor was there ANY communication after they got caught double charging me. read more

So my best friend and I arrived around 8:20ish; the owner along with another gentleman we're locking up as we pulled in. The owner came over and asked if we needed help. We told him that we were coming to get ice cream but didn't know they'd closed already. He then asked if we wanted to see a menu so we could order something. He opened up one of the trucks for us, allowed us to sample and then make our purchase. This was the best customer service I've ever had!! TOP TIER in my book!! Needless to say I WILL BE GOING BACK!! Birdville HS Choir did a fundraiser with this company and has never received the $25 Mr Sugar Rush "claims" we are due in writing. A contract was signed and still they cannot even pay up. Pathetic.
