These subs are so long! Literally you can feed a small family with one or at least have lunch for work for 2 days. I had the regular turkey both times, it was very good. I'm a hot sandwich (corn beef) girl, bit you doesn't enjoy a GOOD cold turkey?! WHO...point them out at once! . Staff was nice and chatty (not in an annoying way) and drink options are superb. I normally pay $11.99 plus tax, all of a sudden a new guy was there yesterday stated he was the manager and charged me $18.00 for a ham and cheese. Ok so today was my third time at this establishment. The first time was great. Got the 8 inch with 2 kinds of meat. Awesome. So good I went back the next day. This time I got the 16 inch honey turkey and cheese so I could share with my husband. 1 layer of meat was all I got. A 16 inch sandwich is Huge!!! I expected more meat and cheese than what I got. The bread is fresh and so are the toppings but the 1 layer of meat/cheese gets lost in the bread and toppings. And for $14/15 per sandwich I was pretty disappointed. Nonetheless I went back today for the third time. Ordered the 16 inch honey turkey and cheese. Same experience as last time. 1 skimpy layer of meat and even less cheese for such a big, expensive sandwich. I wanted to become a regular customer so bad. I give 2 stars for the potential. New owners and everything changed. It isn't your local sandwich shop where they remember who you are. They scaled down the size of the sandwiches to cut costs and the sandwiches have zero flavor now. I wish that was the worst part. It sadly an hour after eating there food my entire family got sick. I'm not sure how if it was that they didn't refrigerate the stuff correctly or that it's old but they have lost customers for life. I used to go there all the time for lunch. Then things changed first they label my food wrong. The staff started seeming more annoyed. The quality start going down, the tomatoes felt as they need more time to ripped, they were hard n green in the middle. Still not labeling two or more sandwiches, no bag, just the paper bag even when it's a bottle of soda would have to stuff them paper bag. We've had the Mr. Sub, Super Sub, honey turkey and provolone, roast beef with American cheese, Italian and tuna subs. Always good. Always fresh. Always with "everything" (lettuce, tomato, oregano, salt, pepper, oil & vinegar, and mayo) with extra mayo and banana peppers on the side. If you've ever been to Tastee Sub in Edison (Pres. Obama made an appearance there), this place is comparable though the sub bread isn't as big which is good for those counting carbs. Great for lunch, kids' easy favorite and healthier alternative to neighboring fast food places, the subs are very filling. I love this place for a quick, easy sandwich. I go at lunchtime and I'm in and out in 5 minutes and it's super cheap. This place used to be good, but now it's really lacking. This morning 11:20a I went to get some sandwiches. There was only one person working, it was pretty busy but ok no big deal. However the young lady that was cReating the sandwiches did not have any pride on what she was serving the customers. I mean literally the complete end of the turkey! I mean really?! C'mon! Very sad just open a new one. Then she decided she wanted to give you wIlted brown lettuce how terrible is that! When I inquired about the lettuce and if she had some fresh lettuce she told me no she didn't, that this lettuce was just shredded this morning, uh not! I told her I find that hard to believe there's absolutely no lettuce in a sub shop, first thing in the morning and you have to be open all day, working with one head of lettuce, and if this is true then it's very sad and they should close down. The young lady then decided she had fresh lettuce and explained if she cut it up it would take some time. I told her no problem I'll wait bcuz I will not take a sandwich with that bad lettuce on it. She made two other people wait in line while she cleaned the slicer and shredded the new lettuce which she took her sweet old time. After she was all done, you think we would be good now right? Wrong! She now proceeds to ask me if I want tomatoes because if I did she doesn't have any! Are you kidding me! It's first thing in the morning this is absolutely insane very unprepared. Nevertheless i had to stop at the store to purchase my own tomatoes, how sad is that. I'm So disappointed in this place. It's lacking customer service, their not really cleaning the area like they should be/used to. Periodically you walk in there and the music is blaring so loud that you can hardly hear yourself speak. It needs some better customer service and someone to come maintenance the store to get it back into shape. It would be great if they did this. The bread and meat used to be so fresh and it was clean, but now you just don't know what your going to get. They always run out of certain meats and especially the tuna. It needs help! I like this little sandwich shop. Never had a problem here. Staff was friendly and the shop was clean overall. Great if you just want to get a cold sandwich without waiting too long. The quality blows Subway out of the water. It's not even close. Has a nice sized parking lot which it shares with another business next door. I just wish that they served hot subs or even soups. So i gave this place another try after my somewhat of a failed visit the last time and ... the verdict is.. ( in my opinion ) this place is really a hit or miss. But it's been a "miss" a lot more often lately. I ordered a sandwich and I could look at it and tell the bread was dry and stale and not soft at all. But I took a bite anyway, and sure was I correct. Fresh, soft bread is really a key component to a good sub and they are hit or miss when it comes to that. I would say only 10/15% of the time the bread is actually soft and fresh. I'm BIG on bread when it comes to subs. I literally threw the sub out (didn't even go back in to complain)... and just drove to Edison and went to Tastee's and the bread was amazingggg and soft. Not trying to compare these two establishments or bash Mr Subs in any way, but they really need to be more consistent and step their game up. Any business should be able to take criticism and their quality has gone down drastically. read more

I love Mr.Subs especially how close they are to my job and I don't spend much time ordering on my lunch break. But I do have to say the Customer service at Mr.Sub sucks there lately. There's this really heavy set guy that claims he's the manager but yet shows no manager personality skills to the customers. He's always seems to be in a bad mood when I come in and he stays rolling his eyes when you come in the store while he's talking to someone else. If you don't like your job get another one! It would be nice to see more of the two funny guys working together again. They always made my lunch break pleasant to stay at Mr.Sub. THere sandwiches are good. BUT there delivery is OBSURD. I order atleast 3 times a week and they have been charging delivery even though their menu CLEARLY states FREE DELIVERY. Half the time i dont recieve a receipt with my order so i trust thats it free, well ITS NOT. and as dumb as it may seem , such a small charge, but when your a loyal customer thats crazy especially since its a 3 minute drive from the location AND they require a minimum purchase of $15 and still charge delivery. CRAZY. so from 3-4 times a week, it just went down to whenever i feel like driving and going for it. read more

Mr.Subs is going down hill! I have been going to them for 3 years about 2 times a week if not more and never had a bad experience. The two guys that use to take my order I never had problems with. Always made me feel comfortable as soon as I walked in the door. The new people they have their are horrible! When I go in there the meat slicer is never clean and it looks like the meat has been there all day. The guy that took my order didn't change his gloves after I saw him touching other things besides my food. When I asked him to change his gloves and clean the machine he gave me a VERY NASTY RUDE attitude. The entire time he was making my sandwich he was sweating really bad, his hygiene is really horrific! Another time I came in for subs for my wife and I that I had called in a head of time. The guy on the phone was completely RUDE and OBNOXIOUS! When i got home and opened my sandwich up our entire order was screwed up. I will never be going back to Mr.Subs!! This place was my families and I go to sub shop for years. It won't be anymore after the encounter my daughter and I had with the manager. He was extremely rude to us. He kept yelling our order back at us and cutting us off ever time we we're telling him our sandwiches, as if he was annoyed with our BIG order. By the time we we're done ordering all of our sandwiches they had little to no meat on them and it was hanging off the bread. I would have to say this was the worst experience I ever experienced coming here. Needless to say my job just recently stop placing their catering orders with them for the same reason I stopped coming here. They kept getting these sloppy trays and thats embarrassing to present in our business meetings. Especially since I recommended this place to them.
