    Complimentary pickles and slaw.
    Gina G.

A nice, casual place to eat. Lunch service is quick. They give you a complimentary bucket of pickles and slaw for the table. The food is great and the place always looks clean. My only issue is that the prices are not ideal with the proportions. I paid $16 for a small sized tuna fish sandwich that I could have made myself or got cheaper elsewhere. Bowls of soup are $8. This is not a place you want to go if you're on a budget.

upon arriving at the parking lot off the street in a strip mall, we found a parking place right away for lunch. I had a sloppy Joe burger that came with french fries onion, tomato, lettuce, and a pickle and on the burger was Russian dressing and coleslaw. I expected something completely different, but it was still very good. They asked me how I wanted my burger I said medium well. My girlfriend got a pastrami sandwich with of course coleslaw on the top of it. Coleslaw is no mayo just vinegar and carrots pickles in it. my burger was delicious. It was medium towards the end, but the service was good. The people were nice. Very large place. Plenty of tables to sit at.

    Tongue Sandwich

Came here with my dad on Father's Day, and we were very pleased. I don't keep kosher myself, but I love supporting kosher delis - and this one is truly special. We ordered the kishka in gravy, the tongue sandwich (served with mustard), and the pastrami between two potato pancakes (with applesauce on the side). Everything was delicious, hearty, and full of flavor. They also bring complimentary pickles and sauerkraut for the table--my dad liked the pickles so much he asked for a container to take them home! Highly recommend this awesome deli. We'll be back

    This is a $25 sandwich.

I went here for the first time today, guy at the counter said their pastrami and corned beef were great, recommended half & half, which I guess is called a Sloppy Joe. Pastrami and corned beef, with a layer of coleslaw in the middle. Sure, whatever...I went with the recommendation. They rang me up - $25 for the sandwich, $30 out the door with a bag of chips and a modest tip. Ladies and gentlemen, this was a simple little sandwich - regular-sized sliced rye bread, with a relatively generous amount of meat & coleslaw, but nothing like a Katz's pastrami or those big ass kosher deli sandwiches you see photos of. It was, indeed, tasty...and I ate it in about 5 minutes. Wasn't stuffed or anything...basically, felt like I ate a $15 sandwich, and that's honestly on the high side. In the Philly area, $15 gets you a huge hoagie, you fill up with half and eat the rest later. $17.50 for the iconic Angelo's cheesesteak...and you're happy about it. Still thinking about it a couple weeks later. Welp, my $30 got me a cute and admittedly tasty little sandwich on sliced bread and a small bag of chips...and I'll still be scratching my head about it a couple weeks from now.

The last 4-5 times the deli platter gets less and less meat. No olives or bread is included anymore. It's $24.99. Also today there was new supervisor I've never seen and he was micromanaging the staff in the front of the house to the point of being rude. Not cool to be so loud in front of customers for such non items. I won't be back.

Turkey, corn, beef, coleslaw, and Russian dressing on rye
    Kai L.

The sandwich maker wasn't the friendliest. I went in wanting a sloppy joe, but the menu didn't list any variations. I ended up asking for corned beef and turkey with coleslaw on rye and Russian dressing. Since I don't order sloppy joes often, I wasn't entirely sure what they typically include and forgot to ask for Swiss cheese. A bit frustrating that it's not clearly outlined on the menu. The meat quality was excellent, but the price was steep--$27 for a sandwich and chips.

Firstly, 5 STARS for the food and 5 STARS for our waiter! Zero stars for the worker that prompted the writing of this review. My wife and I have visited Deli King several times, and the food has consistently been excellent. Service is usually very good as well -- we are often served by the same tall, soft-spoken waiter with tattoos who is professional and attentive (I wish I had his name because he deserves recognition). Unfortunately, our most recent visit ended on a very negative note due to the behavior of another staff member. We were dining with my wife's elderly aunt, and we had brought two small containers of mustard because the mustard served by the restaurant is too spicy for her. As we were finishing lunch, a stocky-built employee (possibly a server or busboy) approached our table and abruptly grabbed the containers, declaring, "That's not kosher," without greeting us, asking questions, or speaking respectfully. The interaction escalated to the point where I actually had to take the containers back from his grip myself -- an uncomfortable and completely unnecessary situation that should never happen between staff and guests. It also left me wondering how he could determine whether something was kosher or not without even asking. A simple, polite statement such as, "We don't allow outside food or beverages," would have been sufficient. Instead, the level of emotion and intensity made the situation feel unpredictable, and I genuinely was not sure how this mild confrontation was going to play out. Fortunately, there was a police car parked outside, which at least provided some reassurance had things escalated further. I fully understand and respect the concept of not bringing outside food into a restaurant, especially one that maintains kosher standards. My concern is not about the policy itself, but about the aggressive and unprofessional way this situation was handled. There are far more respectful and diplomatic ways to address a concern with guests, including speaking calmly or consulting our waiter. To be clear, the one-star rating reflects this final interaction and the experience at the end of our visit -- not the quality of the food or the professionalism of our regular waiter, both of which have always been excellent. Deli King serves great food, but management should seriously address how staff interact with customers. No guest should feel policed or disrespected at their table.

    Pastrami... what else

What a great find on way to airport. Great pastrami and the Cole slaw is how it should be, delicious and no mayo! Pickles were perfect too!!!

Pickles and pickled salad. Don't mind the pickle; I took a nibble.

There is street parking…read moreand a few parking lots in the area so we just parked at one, wanted about, and also made a stop here. As a nod to the name (Kirshenbaum is German for cherry tree), there are little cherries everywhere inside from signs to wallpaper. Ample seats, natural light, friendly staff, plus delectable treats make this place a good one to stop at. They also serve light bites but as we were sort of hopping from one place to another on a Sunday, I only ordered a few sweet treats. BLACK FOREST: my daughter picked this, likely because she thought it was a chocolate cake. But it was not your average chocolate cake. A good sized slice with moist cake, cherries, and dark chocolate bits throughout, I highly enjoyed this one. It's perfectly sweet - though I admit my daughter finished the exterior layer of frosting so the thin layered in between the cake were ideal for my taste buds. It was a bit too elevated for my daughter who only really wanted your regular chocolate cake. MATCHA CRUFFIN: This is a croissant-muffin filled with matcha cream, rolled in sugar. The laminated dough was packed so not like your airy-but-crispy-exterior croissant, nor was it noticeable buttery, but it did do its job by keeping its shape and the layers helped give its name. It was lovely to pull apart, with a nice, chewy texture. The filling wasn't exactly in the center (I shared this with my husband) so I dipped a little into the filling (borderline reminded me of pastry cream) that my husband got. It's light but also has a very nice matcha flavor that comes through. RASPBERRY LYCHEE PIE: I love pie and I was happy to find a uniquely flavored one here especially since it reminded me of my favorite ice cream flavor in Europe at Haagen Dazs years back (rose raspberry lychee) so I pounced on it. First off, this is definitely a mousse pie. We're vegetarian so a part of me wonders if gelatin was used to make this so I likely won't get this a second time without me asking the necessary questions - but it is good. As with most mousse confections, this is light and delicate in a way. Airy. Still substantial that I didn't feel cheated out of my money but not too filling. Nothing overpowered each other and the flavors and textures worked together beautifully. There were chunks of raspberries but I don't recall actual bits of lychee fruit in there, though you do get the flavor of it in there. I absolutely love the interesting flavors here and the items I got. I especially am a fan of how everything is perfectly sweet. I have a sweet tooth, but only for things that aren't too sweet and this is completely up my alley. They do have gluten free options but nothing extensive. And I'm pretty sure they include eggs. I have a kid with multiple food allergies and he couldn't have anything here so I got him a bottle of apple juice and he was content with it. I'll definitely stop by again to try more items and get a drink to go with. Maybe get my daughter a cookie since I hear they're pretty good.
