Lying, thieves! Stay away! I've got 7 vehicles and have been conning to this location for 6 years. Had some major work done on the 5 series BMW. Came for inspection. They said it didn't have a long enough drive cycle on it and failed it. When I left the MIL light (check engine) had been turned back on. It had been reset after the work and wad of prior to them connecting to the car. I turned around and went back. This may have taken 5 minutes. The shop was closed and the guy was gone. With all of the other options in this area for inspection, take any of them over this place, and avoid doing business here at all costs. read more

I'm not quite sure what the deal is with this particular Mr. Sticker, but something smells awfully funny, and it's not anything that's coming out of any car. My son brought his car in for inspection. Yeah, he waited until the last day of the month, and naturally he was leaving town to go back to college that day, too. Mr. Sticker was busier than normal, but since he takes great care of his car (and his brother's a mechanic and a state-certified inspector), he figured he'd breeze right through and get a new inspection sticker despite having to wait a bit. Frantic, he calls me (then his brother!) that he'd failed due to "gas cap integrity." Curious thing, too: he told me that the three cars in line prior to him had all failed for the EXACT same thing. He was told to "go get a new cap and come back." A wrench in his plans (he has a 3+ hour drive ahead of him), but he nevertheless drives to an auto parts store, gets a new cap and goes back. By now Mr. Sticker is packed with cars. Packed. With receipt in hand, they told him to "Wait at the back of the line -- 2 hours." They refused to put him at the front of the queue, despite the fact that he had just been there 30 minutes before. No apologies, nothing. Since he literally didn't have 2 hours to wait, he drove to the Mr. Sticker near Klein HS (several miles west). They accepted his receipt (did not charge him for another inspection); they did have to do another full inspection, however, since they hadn't done the original inspection in the first place. They were very understanding; it was only about 20 minutes of wait time for him there. Passed and on his way. I was going to give this location a 2-star rating, but when I read one of the other reviewers had an identical complaint (about a gas cap failure), I'd love to be able to rate this place with zero stars. I've been told by a reliable source that it's highly unusual for a car to fail inspection due to a gas cap; for 4 (four) cars in a row today to fail is extremely suspect. And then to read that another Yelper also failed due to this? Makes one wonder. Driver beware. read more

I've been coming here for years. I usually go mid day or early evening and service is usually pretty good. The only problem I've had was when I replaced the battery in my car the day before I got it inspected. Apparently disconnecting the battery reset all the diagnostic and pollution sensors and my vehicle didn't pass. Tech said to drive it around a 100 miles and come back. I did and vehicle passed second time around. I had already paid for initial inspection so there was no additional charge when I brought it back. read more

I have used Mr. Sticker for years and have two manual transmission vehicles (including a sports car). I have never had any issues with how they have treated the cars, and of course they have always been polite to me. Make sure your automobile is fully warmed up before getting it inspected, and it takes longer than you realize (10-15 minutes of driving - maybe longer on very cold day). If you have had the check engine light cleared, you will need to drive 50-75 miles before having it inspected to allow the computer to get enough data for the system to register if your vehicle will pass. read more

I'm sure that as far as quality of work is concerned, this Mr. Sticker is no better or worse than any other. However, I went in on the first Monday of the new month (a notoriously busy day for inspections) after work (an equally busy time) and only ONE guy was working in the whole place! Terrible customer service. Man was extremely rude about waiting on me. I pulled up to the bay and waited, nobody came. I walked inside to find someone, man just looked at me, I asked if he could direct me into the bay, no smile, nothing, asked if I had insurance, told him yes. Went back to my car and again waited for him to pull me in, still waited until he and his teenage son came out. He continued to talk to him and stare at me. Finally came to the car, I tried to joke with him he just stared at me with no apology for the wait and lack of customer service. I finally just told him I don't need to give him my service and left. Drove to Dan's Automotive and was greeted immediately and taken care of quickly. read more

Terrible customer service. Very fast service for inspection and reasonably priced, but the tech/front desk guys attitude was short and rude. I asked if I needed to wear my mask inside due to COViD and he just made a grunt and waved his hand. He was aggressive when handling my car, left grease marks on the drivers seat, and when I went to the counter to pay he tossed the receipt on the counter and said "sign" and when I asked him to staple my receipt to the paper he pushed the stapler towards me. Never once looked me in the eye or acknowledged me as a customer. I said thank you and have a good one, with no response. Not one to write a review or complain too much, but if you are looking for an inspection or oil change there are plenty of other places that will serve you with a smile. I parked in front next to another truck and gently eased my sleeping baby out and brought her inside. When I get inside, a disheveled guy (who is lounging in a chair) grumbles at me "pull your car around back!" I'm dumbfounded. I'm thinking "Aren't you about to drive my car into the bay??? Have you ever dealt with a baby in your life?" Apparently the no parking sign on the bay applied universally to the entire east side of the building. I had my fill of this place and spun on my heel before I could experience any more of his outstanding service. This place scores a 0 for customer service, but a perfect 100 on laziness. read more

Do not go here. Poor customer service (as previous customers have stated), the owner/worker chooses who to wait on first so nothing goes in any consistent order, just left there after the gentleman waited on two people standing behind me. It's just one older gentleman working very slowly. In addition, they also ask for tips with the tip jar on the counter, not an issue if you provide good service but this place simply doesn't. There are too many shops in the area that do inspections for a place to perform this poorly. read more

Scam warning!! Everything was fine until the guy doing the inspection destroyed my windshield wipers. Wipers will fail inspection if more than an inch of the rubber wiper is separated from the frame. Mine were completely intact - I checked and cleaned them after it rained last week. Today, they have 5 inches of wiper hanging off the frame. I'm throwing the BS flag on that! read more

This place is a total rip off! Do not take your car here. I took my car in for an inspection & was told I failed it due to two sensors coming up as "not ready" and my parking brake. I was told to fix the brake and drive my car for 30-50 miles, then bring it back. I fixed the brake and drove well over the recommended 30-50 miles and took my car back a week later. The young man working the morning I went it was nice, said he would check to see if the sensors were coming up as "ready" before he would redo the inspection. He drove my car into the bay, check the lights, and came back in & told to drive it a little longer as the lights were not ready. Told him I drove it over the miles I was already told to drive, but was still told to drive it a little bit more & bring the car back. So, I left & went to work. I brought my car back the following morning after driving it another 30 miles or so. I parked my car, left it running, with the parking brake on. I was greeted by the older man, who had been behind the desk each time I had been there. I handed him my paperwork, and he told me to go sit inside. He said he would check to see if it was ready. So, okay, I go inside & had barely sat down before he walked in, handed me my paperwork, and said "drive more." I looked at him & said, "you've got to be kidding me." I explained that I had already driven more than what they had recommended and the sensors should be ready. All he said was "drive more." I took my paperwork, got in my car (which was still parked where I left it - jerk never moved my car into the bay), and drove down the street to another place that does vehicle inspections. Guess what?!?!?!?!!? My car passed inspection. For what should have cost me $25.50 for my annual inspection ended up costing me $51.00 for this year's inspection Do not take your car to this place to have your car inspected. They will rip you off. I will never step foot inside this business again. read more

I took my Tahoe in and as the tester was removing my old sticker, I made a simple request that he be sure the sticker be put on straight - even with the registration tag. He did, but he also put the numbers representing the month and year blatantly crooked. The angle at which they were placed makes it clear it could not have been an accident. Not a big deal really, and I know it sounds petty, but when I make a simple request I expect it to be followed. I'm not paying him to be a jackass. read more
