How convenient and good timing. So I said okay and I wasn't going to work with them because the timing was suspicious. But I said that I would still work with them. So we scheduled another day. I received an email asking if they could come out on a specific day and I said yes but I guess I didn't respond that same day and that was a problem. The next email I got was a response with the another date almost two weeks later. I asked what happend to the earlier date and I was told the sales rep books up fast and they got booked and then the asked me if I wanted another sales rep and I said yes and asked what time could they make it. The final email the sent me said after checking they don't service my area. Like really?! I already gave them my address the first time we talked, and now y'all don't service my area? Which is the Philadelphia area. That's real strange to me and still confused by their actions and responses. I wasn't rude or anything. Maybe someone will have better luck with this company but I couldn't be okay without sharing this with whoever decides to contact this company and maybe they will see this and not do this to the next potential customer.

However, the work Aromas did on the floors of our home is so atrocious that others should be made aware. We had a pipe break in our home last year and it caused significant damage to the first floor and the basement of our new construction home. On the first floor, one half of the wood floor needed to be replaced (ironically, the poor leveling from the builder allowed for only half of the floor to be impacted). Because we were new home owners, brand new to the area, and expecting our twins in less than two months, we went with the recommendation of a local expert and hired Aromas to do the floor. We continue to pay the price for this poor decision, as the quality continues to deteriorate. The repairs took over a month, and despite a lot of back and forth about mismatched coloring, wood marks, etc., the floors were "completed" with numerous splits and defects. Enough so that the company's owner came out to see the work. While they attempted to fill some of the larger cracks, it was done very sloppily and fixed nothing. What's done is done, but it's shocking to see how one side of the floor differs from the other. Please see the included photos for proof. The difference in quality is obvious and it's unfortunate. In retrospect, I wish they took longer to provide a higher quality product. But more than anything, I wish we never hired them. The floors split more and more every day, and are now becoming hazardous to our small children who are now crawling and running around with bare feet. Be warned.

We were constantly on the phone trying to figure out what was going on with our project and when workers would be returning. It reached the point where we had to threaten to have someone else finish the job Aroma'z started. Small finishing touches took multiple attempts to complete correctly. I don't know if the job would have ever been finished had we not been on top of them calling constantly to get workers to come out and finish up. Overall, the work was done very well, specifically the tile floors, backsplash, and countertops. You will not be upset with the finished product if you can tolerate the process, but we will not be using them for any future projects due to the lack of communication.

Extremely professional and the quality of work was outstanding. I had all the remaining carpet in my home removed which consisted of 3 bedrooms, a hallway 27 steps and a family room. Javier was confident that he could complete the work and said that it would take approximately 4 days start to finish. He was affordable and overall a nice guy with glowing reviews. However when he started the work it was clear that he had a very basic skill set of sanding and refinishing but not wood work or much else. He refused to paint the new banisters he installed (but during the estimate walk through said he would)his measurements were way off which resulted in him having to come back multiple times only to leave us with an unfinished job. Materials were wasted due to lack of knowledge in installing spindles and stair case post incorrectly. To make matters worse, he told my husband I'm too picky and that I thought he was stupid which was never the case. He also got upset when he had to remove the spindles which were uneven and incorrectly placed. Upon removal of incorrect spindle placement, he damaged our steps taking out chunks of wood.He took all of our materials with him that we paid for. When we asked where the materials went he said they were cut wrong and no good (10+ spindles).We just wanted the job done right the first time. I would never recommend JO for anything now based on our experience and I am convinced his "glowing" reviews are his close friends and family and not actual clients. Oh and I forgot to mention... he originally presented sharpie marker on a cheap piece of wood to staple to the riser and originally had no intention on doing the wood work correctly. I have sanded my floor and removed all the color out of my floor, all he had to do was finish the hardwood floor. He quoted me a good price and I was told by him that he had years of experience. I wanted my floor a modern light white wash gray color. At first he said "Of course we can make this work". After coming the second time He said that, that color will not come out the way i want to because my floor is too "OLD". So I was flexible about the color and we decided to change it to a regular golden color. On my second floor the floor came out OK compared to downstairs. Downstairs the floor was darker, more clear changing the look, it had spills, and my paint pealed. I was told that i needed the floor to dry for 2 days. I let my floors dry for a week before walking on my floor (I did not live there). After a weed i purchased green tape for paint and a roll or paper to protect the floor. After removing the green tape the floor paint pealed of in several places. I contacted Javier Ortiz and explained the issues with the pealing and the over spilled clear. I was told by JO that he will come back to fix the problem. Two weeks after I sent him a text message to follow up. He said he was busy that he will let me know. After several days I couldn't wait and contacted him again. He said we will let me know when he get a chance in the afternoon and he will come to fix it. Almost 2 months later I received no text or call from JO Contractors. I followed up several time on FB (JO Contractors) and he read my message and no response. I got pissed of due to the lack of service and communication and I sent a message about how I felt about his work. He said he will be there that night, to please send him the address that he will start heading to my house at 7pm. Provided my address at 7:02pm and 3 days after he still never opened my message. Today Monday 10/15/2018 I contacted him again and left my message on "READ" and blocked me on FB. Now, I will take appropriate action and contact the city. I will provide pictures later on.

Unfortunately never had any discussion about options and what coating would work best for what i want as well as pros/cons of different polyurethanes. A crew showed up, got right to work and left. After a couple days i noticed imperfections in a couple of the rooms so i reached back out to them. They were very quick to respond and sent the crew out the same day, they inspected the floors and ended up doing another coat at no cost. Floors came out great. Just wish there was a little more communication/information, but i would recommend them.
