We have purchased cakes for special occasions here and they are wonderfully delicious and artistic! Another curious delight is their pizza bread. This is a Quebec specialty and theirs has a tad more garlic flavour but is richer in flavour than some other places. Everything I've had here is tasty. Really fresh and delish. I definitely will come back to test a sandwich. Good sandwich shops are hard to come by in Terrebonne- Mascouche so I'm looking forward to testing it out. The owners are a couple French Canadian-Italian and you can definitely see the pride they take in preparing high quality food.

Then in the summer of 2013 they had a major fire and had to close down for almost a full year to renovate and totally rebuild. Since the rebuild the fire damaged the tanning salon next door so the new Lazio just opened up again and it is really a well designed and beautifully decorated upgrade. Also in the new Lazio is a cafe-lounge. Onto the food. They are known for their tomato pizza bread. Usually I go for a half $8. or you can have a quarter size for $5. Their tomato bread is a Quebec specialty. A really good tomato sauce and the bread is nice light and great to munch on small pieces. It makes wonderful finger food for a party. They also have an excellent selection of olives, sausages and desserts. Sometimes we get the tart au sucre, sometimes the 5 fruit. Also their bread is super fresh and a great place to get a fresh baguette. Some of their items are a bit on the pricer side so be careful and look at price. This is our go to Italian place for goods and I can tell by the lineup on Saturday's that it's many other people's go to place as well!

Especially when they are so creative and friendly and offer delicious tummy filling cupcakes. Selection is large with your typical choices in caramel, red velvet and vanilla. They also have others such as cappuccino, baileys, strawberry, double chocolate and so many more I can't name them all. Makes a great treat for the weekend or an office or birthday party! Timed perfectly for the start of spring and the start of the warm weather I don't think they could plan the grand opening any better. So here's the scoop(literally and figuratively). Their specialty is dipped ice cream (enrobe en francais). Sizes go from baby, mini, small medium and large. A baby which is ridiculously small goes for $1.95 plus tax for normal and $2.75 dipped. Then a mini goes for $2.45 and dipped $3.50 all the way up to a large which is $4.95 and $6.60 dipped. I think the large is ridiculously large so I have been quite content having a mini dipped. The selection of dips is so large. I believe more than 10 types. From classic dark chocolate, salted caramel, white chocolate, cookies and cream to name just a few. Really something for everyone and then some! The chocolate once dipped is a very thick smooth flavour. Very nice! And if you like chocolate you will love it! The place is brand new and has indoor seating and outdoor seating. Parking is plentiful and pretty easy to get in and out of! Where I feel a bit sad is that there are a handful of other small ice cream shops in Terrebonne. My prediction is Chocolat Favorit will shut a bunch of these places down it's that good. Those people with other ice cream shops will not be able to compete with this place. I've been here twice in a week now and both times the lineups have been huge in the evening! Come check it out! It's at the upper end of the spectrum in terms of cafe's that serve fresh baked goods and prepared foods. This location has expanded their cafe and also offered free wifi (a fantastic idea). For lunch you can get here in and out under $13 (taxes and tip) for an excellent lunch. On the day I came by I had indulged in a nourishing fresh bacon sandwich which was pannini grilled with lettuce and tomato. I was able to enjoy a fresh pea soup (not too salty) with this. All around it was awesome. People who know me well know I complain about a lot of the crap quality food in this province but here it's nothing but excellent quality all the way! Selection is good of soups, sandwiches, some pasta dishes and salads. Originally I'd come for their breads as they have really high quality crispy but fresh and soft inside breads. Baked fresh daily. Also their pastries and cakes are decadent and delicious. A very popular place especially during the holidays or valentines day as they always have a good selection of artisan chocolate.
