Their coffee is a bit bitter, which I like, but some people may find it too bitter. I love that their iced latte is a double-shot, and only 3.60$ ! Their breakfasts are amazing !!! And their deserts are really good. You can of course buy coffee (grains) to go :) On the down-side, they offer less lunch choices and they are not as good as breakfasts (my opinion) but i believe they still deserve their 5 stars. Lot of seating tables, free parking in the street, very nice waitresses. If you come on lunch time though, service is a bit slower, but on the week-end we never had trouble.

I talked to the barista a little too and he told me that you can ask for a stronger tasting espresso since their espresso machine allows them to customize the resulting flavor. Basically, if you want a bitter flavor or a milder one, you can tell them and they will be easily able to achieve it (it sounded way better when he explained it to me though...) Also, all their coffees can be made cold so if you have a hankering for something cold, you have plenty of choices. Another thing that I thought was super cute was that they sell earplugs at the cash! I think it's adorable and useful for those days where you forget your earphones and don't want to hear others around you. I will definitely be coming back to Perko Cafe :)

A delightful hidden gem on the sweetest side street of Terrebone…read more Visiting Quebec in the dead of winter might be a bit of madness to some but to me it was absolute bliss in the beauty of the city, plus finding this delightful chocolate boutique. Everyone was very safe wearing their masks which I appreciated. The chocolate is completely irresistible. Absolutely purchase and sample at least one or two before putting together a fabulous box to gift and to take home. There are also all sorts of bars and shapes - try the caramel! Prices are quite reasonable, and the quality is phenomenal. They also serve a café menu, and while I did not have time on this occasion to sample their food menu, there was a couple who appeared very happy with their lunch of crepes. The two restrooms in the back are available to customers. It's inside straight back to the right. Highly recommend! And there is a fun mural out front to take your photo in front of! Then in the summer of 2013 they had a major fire and had to close down for almost a full year to renovate and totally rebuild. Since the rebuild the fire damaged the tanning salon next door so the new Lazio just opened up again and it is really a well designed and beautifully decorated upgrade. Also in the new Lazio is a cafe-lounge. Onto the food. They are known for their tomato pizza bread. Usually I go for a half $8. or you can have a quarter size for $5. Their tomato bread is a Quebec specialty. A really good tomato sauce and the bread is nice light and great to munch on small pieces. It makes wonderful finger food for a party. They also have an excellent selection of olives, sausages and desserts. Sometimes we get the tart au sucre, sometimes the 5 fruit. Also their bread is super fresh and a great place to get a fresh baguette. Some of their items are a bit on the pricer side so be careful and look at price. This is our go to Italian place for goods and I can tell by the lineup on Saturday's that it's many other people's go to place as well!

Came with little croutons and bread. We also got a piece of banana, coffee, and peanut butter cake. Pretty good for a vegan cake. It wasn't dry and the peanut butter icing was just sweet enough. I had a cold mochaccino with coconut milk and it was ok, I really don't like coffee that much though so maybe that's why I didn't love it. I thought it was bitter still even though there was only a bit of coffee in it. I needed a bit of caffeine to kick start my Sunday and that's why I got it. What I really like about this cafe is that they offer pottery classes in the building over. We could see the class while we ate, it looked fun! They also sell the creations of some of their Montreal artists in store. Service is also very nice and they are very friendly when answering questions about the menu.
