We were looking for a good place to watch the Oregon Ducks football game while we were in the area,…read moreand this spot came up as an option. We were with some good friends, so we decided to give it a try and stopped in just as the game was kicking off. From the moment we arrived, we loved the vibe. The exterior and interior décor are perfectly suited to our taste, very industrial with a strong automotive theme throughout. The front of the building immediately grabs your attention, with several front ends and rear ends of cars mounted directly on the exterior. Inside, the creativity continues. One of our favorite details was that the swinging doors leading into the party room are made from old truck tailgates, which is a fun and unique touch that really fits the theme. Although there were several tables already occupied, it wasn't overly busy, and we were able to find a great spot near the middle of the restaurant, directly in front of the quad-screen setup that was showing the game. The layout made it easy to watch and enjoy the atmosphere without feeling crowded or rushed. This place doesn't offer traditional table service. You place your food and non-alcoholic drink orders at the counter, receive a table number, and the staff brings everything out to you. Adult beverages are ordered separately at the bar on the far side. The system was straightforward and worked well, especially for a game-day environment. Even the menu sticks to the theme. The pizza names are all inspired by different types of cars, which we thought was a fun and clever detail. We ordered two sides of Jo-Jo's, a large create-your-own pizza, a small Hot Rod, and a small Station Wagon on cauliflower crust. The Jo-Jo's came out first and were absolutely perfect, hot, crispy, and well-seasoned. We asked for ranch and campfire sauce, which paired great with them, and were able to grab ketchup from the condiment station without any trouble. The pizzas came out shortly after and looked fantastic. More importantly, they tasted just as good. Everyone at the table was happy with their choices, including the cauliflower crust option. Between the good food, the Ducks game on multiple screens, and the chance to relax and catch up with good friends, it ended up being a really enjoyable experience. This is a great spot for watching a game, hanging out with friends, and enjoying a casual meal in a fun, well-thought-out setting.

They are just that committed to taking care of people, and it shows. The negative reviews here are hilarious! You can walk in wearing a tuxedo if you want to (if you do, definitely lead with that in your review because it definitely helps... uhhhh... set "context"). They'll still make you a great burger, but don't blame the locals if you feel out of place, or it drips yummy deliciousness on your Armani, or you had to wait a few minutes before they realized you don't know how to respect the busy staff of one enough to place your order at the bar if you're in a hurry. I think they have a staff of 30 or so, a Tesla Supercharger, and your "The Metropolitan" cocktail waiting at Red Robin back in town if you're into that sort of thing. If you're expecting heat lamp fast-food or a tour of the wine cellar, you might... ...you know what, fuck it, this review is getting way too long, you already got the idea, and I'd rather be at the Red Barn.

The space was huge - way bigger than expected. I was bummed there was only one IPA and the keg blew on my order. She replaced it with a hazy IPA which I didn't love, but ordered anyway because I felt awkward standing up there. The way the bar is arranged isn't great - the bartender was positioned to stand right in front of the beer list, so I had to move around to see. I felt uncomfortable.

But when I heard Matt Spenner was going to be the brew master, excitement crept in. Because if anyone should be able to make good beer, it would be a Spenner. (This is generations of research manifesting itself here, folks). I was not disappointed. To start with, they have some funky names: Citra Lee Ale (named after Matt's wife Crystal, who's a brew mistress (is that even a term?) with Matt), Eukanot Do That on Television IPA (pretty awesome name considering the stuff on TV nowadays), and my favorite to drink, the Schmokin Porter. Their selection is limited, but they have guest beers (and wines), and they'll be coming up with new stuff so stay tuned. The place is open and airy and comfortable. No TVs or one arm bandits here, so you're gonna have to socialize, which is a good thing in my book. Add a dose of country music in the background, and voila, you're soaking in a cool vibe and sucking down some yummy suds. If you want grub, there's a food truck around when you need it. Plus, with the bay doors open, it's like you're chillin' in your bud's new backyard brewery, which is uber cool.
