I had a Chromebook that had a couple of keys sticking. It is a fairly new Chromebook and was supposedly under warranty at Best Buy. I was told there that the particular warranty I had did not cover cost for repair. Thenj tried to sell me a different warranty ($40 more). I was upset b/c I thought the $300 spent on a warranty was worth it. I have a warranty but it doesn't really cover everything. One of the Geek Squad members told me about Mr. PC. If they were kind enough to refer me to another company, it was worth a shot. I wasn't disappointed. Didn't cost as much as I had feared. Took a little longer than I anticipated but parts had to be ordered. With tariffs in place, took a while to get to them. CB works absolutely fine now. I do recommend this company. read more

Spent almost $200 to get my phone fixed and 2 weeks later had same issue and they did not honor warranty. They made up an excuse saying it was my fault again and wanted another $120. EDIT [not, in any way at all, trying to hide the fact that I replaced my own screen bought from Amazon and maybe word things a little differently]: I stopped by and asked for a screen replacement because mine is extra dim after the first replacement [that I did myself], but one of the people I spoke with kept dismissing my concerns. There were 2 men there at the time, but the young man was respectful. The older man didn't seem to care about what I had to say. Instead of being condescending, he could've just explained that all after market screens are this way and left it at that. I couldn't bring myself to tell him about another issue because he kept talking over me. I didn't feel as if I was receiving good customer service [from speaking with them], but I can't say anything about their repair services. I'm sure they're very competent in phone repairs. read more

I needed a laptop fixed and finally called these guys the other day. Given a ballpark figure way less than 2 other places near Harbison I called I decided to let them run a diagnostic. Very courteous, friendly and took care of my issue in a timely manner calling me twice to go over the process as they worked. Returning to pay less than half of what other repair shops quoted and enjoying the company of the two professional gentlemen there before I settled up I'm positive I'll return for their services. Steer clear of this business. Totally unprofessional with the worst customer service ever. I was accused of lying about chatting with someone on their website, he wrote up a work order for the wrong repair operation, trying to overcharge me and saying that a GPU reflow is the same as a CPU repaste when it states clearly on their website that it's $120 for the CPU repaste and $150 for the GPU reflow that I didn't need done. Acted extremely rude when I asked a simple question. These people will not be touching any of my devices and I suggest you do the same. The owner wasn't even there and I called no one any names. My hard drive has an OS installed, I bought a new drive and didn't think it would be a big deal to insert the card and tighten one screw while you have the whole thing ripped apart, I didn't try to get anything for free or come with an attitude. Keep lying and letting your employees give people attitude and see how that works out for you. Would have gladly paid $150 but I'm not signing a work order that states an incorrect repair operation that doesn't need performed. read more

I strongly recommend against going here! When my computer started getting stuck during startup, I took it to Mr. PC to fix; he called and said the hard drive had died. I asked if he could at least recover the photos and he said he'd try for an additional fee. Then he called back and said the photos were unrecoverable. I went to get the computer and found it completely disassembled. He charged me $50, said not to bother taking it anywhere else, and he didn't even return the screws. My brother recommended I take it to a place he'd used before instead. They said there was nothing wrong with the hard drive, and they had no trouble recovering my photos. My brother then went to Mr. PC and asked for a refund since the diagnostic was wrong. The man was extremely rude and belligerent; he said it didn't work for him and he didn't know how to fix it, so it didn't matter that other companies could fix it and he was keeping the money. My brother says he's very unprofessional--friendly when he thinks he can talk you into paying him, but nasty if it's not a quick fix and/or you question him. My experience has certainly been terrible. Don't make the same mistake I did! Go somewhere good the first time. read more

This place SUCKS. got my phone screen fixed here a year ago -I felt sick shelling out almost 200 dollars but figured if my screen was going to be fixed it was worth it. Flash forward 9 months later and my screen is rising off my iPhone. Apple can't fix it cause its third party and mr PC basically said I am shit out of luck. you're better off going to the place in the mall that charges 100 dollars less - I've done that before and it lasted until I got my new phone! I went to have my iphone front and back screen fixed. I have the iphone 4. After receiving my phone back, Yes, the phone screen was repaired. However my power button didn't work. I was told to come back later because they couldnt get it to work and they were closing. I used the device assistance button, so I was ok. My main concern was getting the screen fixed. Three weeks later my screen goes back out. So I went back to the store and was told that they didnt give refunds, and its my fault because i dropped it. I never dropped it. The screen just went out. I dont think my device was serviced properly. I was made fun of in the store. My overall experience was just shocking. So here I am stuck with a burnt screen. The guy said to go find 90.00 and then come back. I would be a fool. Over all very poor service. I wont be giving any more of my business to this store. read more

Fixed my phone super quick and no more expensive than any other place!!! Was extremely happy with results at first however after a few days I noticed my screen was sort of spotty and discolored in a few places. It was probably due to how badly my phone was shattered so honestly most likely my fault. I also noticed after a few weeks I started having battery issues but then again that is probably just because I have put my phone through hell and back. Not sure though. All in all they did a great job of getting my phone fixed quickly!! read more

I dropped my iPhone 6 from 2ft off the ground and it shattered the screen! I brought it to Mr. PC and they quickly fixed it good as new! They were also the best price in town. Work is guaranteed as long as you damage it again so no worries if something stops working. Highly recommend! read more

Upside: Came in with a 5 year old 17 in macbook pro in pretty bad shape on new years day!!!. I took it to Afghanistan with me and was exposed to some pretty rough conditions. Through it all, it survived the year long trip. Years later its still kicking strong until I let my kids at it. Even after being stepped on and dropped a few times it held on pretty strong. Finally my 11 year old delivered the death blow and spilled water on the table doing her homework. Splashed right on macbook. The screen shut down and it never breathed life again. I thought it was done so I let it air dry in hopes it could be saved later. Did not do a review search for these guys and by the looks of the first two reviews I'm so glade I didnt. These guys brought my macbook back from the dead for only 270 bucks. They replaced a shattered screen, a burned out charging plug, and cleaned up the water damage. They fixed it the same day and contacted me to come get it. The owner took the time to explain the problems to me and actually told me to hold on to the computer for upgrade savings. All of this on new year's day!! Down side: I would not say the service sucked, But it wasn't a profession experiance. The employees seemed to be young freshly graduated high school seinors. They talked kida fast as if we all understood everything they were talking about. I may be an old head but I don't think it's good practice to put a face on your business that does not project trust. I don't think you need to get rid of them but they need to treat the business like it is a business and not a hang out. I didn't really care as long as my macbook could be saved without me having to pay for a new one. In the end I left pretty satisfied with the work done on my macbook on such an unusual business day. I am theroly impressed with the knowledge and capability of the owner. As well as what I paid for the repair. Customer service is an important part of your business and I think that is hurting you. This is the first day of course and I will see how the repairs last. I will be asking for the owner though to address whatever does happen if anything happens at all. I initially brought in a water damaged wifi card. Upon trying different things (external port, cleaning the keyboard, cleaning the corrosion off the bluetooth card) they finally fixed the problem. I came in to pick it up and they discovered that my hard drive was dying and I needed a new one. Not the best news, but they gave me a good deal, it was going to give me faster speed and an update. So at this point my only concern was that all my files, music and pictures were transferred over. They guaranteed that they would be. I went to pick it up and looking briefly everything seemed fine. They said something things would take longer to transfer over than others. Well once I got home and realized that iPhoto hadn't been downloaded on my new hard drive, I realized that 10,000+ photos had never been transferred over. I called, they told me to come back in. Once I came back, for the fifth time, they told me they'd keep it and call me when it was ready, AGAIN. Throughout this entire process, I was clear that after being without a computer for over a week and a half and being a student that I didn't have a ton of time to spare. But this time around they asked me to leave my computer and they couldn't tell me how long the transferring of files would take, when it was their mistake in the first place. Overall, I am appreciative of the price and service they gave me but am disappointed with the end result and lack of professionalism in doing the job completely. I don't appreciate the inconvenience of driving twenty minutes away over five times just to feel like it was job only half done. read more

I had my cracked I phone screen repaired here last week. After the repair, I noticed that my cheek would hit random apps and the mute and speakerphone buttons when I made a call. I did some searching on the Internet and found that this happens with some frequency after a screen replacement. Apparently the proximity sensor can get damaged during the repair. So I called to see if there was a settings fix I could do or if I had to bring it back in. The first guy who answered the phone didn't even want to talk to me - he just wanted me to bring it back in. That's fine, if he doesn't know about phones, no problem. So I asked to speak to someone who actually repairs them. I got to talk to the manager, Richard, who was extremely surly and emphatically denied that there could have been an issue when my phone left his store because they "always, 99% of the time check for that". Always? Or 99% of the time? So after some discussion about that, he told me to bring it in. I asked if I could make an appointment or be put ahead in the line when I came since they were repairing an issue that they caused. Richard would not tell me no directly, but he wouldn't tell me yes either. The customer service at this place is a joke. Apparently it is the cheapest place, which I didn't know when I went there - I went there because it was convenient. I guess you get what you pay for. read more

Limited ability to repair a computer. I brought in an all in one on a Saturday (the Harbison location was completely empty when I walked in - the technician came back in after about 10 minutes with his lunch). I paid the $35 diagnostic fee and was told I would definitely get a call by Monday. By the following Thursday I called them and found they had to take the PC to another store. It was there for a week and appeared the main troubleshooting done was to try a replacement cord. All in ones are more difficult (and limited) to repair but I would expect them to tell me their limitations when I drop off. Eventually they told me I needed to pick the computer up without any further repair - I was not in any rush to receive the computer back since it is a duplicate so it wasn't a rush job - (repairs were to cost $300+, but I wasn't even given the option to let them try - hence my belief they have a very limited ability to repair this type of computer). All communications between us were started by me (I made the calls) and in the end I sent the computer back to the manufacturer and the repairs were made for about $350 - so the estimate wasn't bad - they just didn't offer to act on it. They may be better at phone screen replacements but for computer repairs I would only bring a simple fix... read more
