We saw this place had good reviews, and we were wanting a yummy big breakfast. This place was perfect. The staff were super friendly, and cooked everything right there for us. The pancakes were amazingly fluffy. Bacon was delicious. We love this place!

Pancakes half eaten... yum! "Sausage" on my husband's plate.

We are visiting from the USA and wanted an American breakfast. These pancakes were the best I've ever had. I am obsessed now about trying to make my own pancakes that taste this good. I wish I could have asked her how she makes them. The place is tiny! Tiny tables and mix-matched chairs, and the stove is right there in the room! You can watch her make your breakfast. The menu is posted. No variations that I saw. Eggs were over medium cooked in butter-yum! There were about 6 strips of bacon, a bit undercooked for my taste, but I like overcooked bacon. My husband thought the sausage would be like an American breakfast sausage, but it was a German hot dog tasting sausage. (See picture) Overall, breakfast was yummy and now I have to figure out how to make these pancakes!! The picture was taken after the bacon and eggs were eaten.

This is a tiny place but quaint with friendly service. I got the Mr Sausage which came with 2 eggs(no choice how cooked), 3 pancakes, & sausage. The eggs were over hard :-(. The 3 pancakes were thick. The sausage was big slices like bologna without much flavor. He got the Mr. Bacon with the same eggs & pancakes plus a cafe macchiato. The bacon was VERY salty.

Yum!

We absolutely love Mr. pancake. This is our second time going since we've been to Munich, and it is always a must stop place to get breakfast on our trip. They are cash only, so don't forget cash! There's no ATM either. They have such good pancakes, fast service, and it's just so cute and homey. Pros: food, service Cons: cash only

I ordered the Mr.sausage, comes with two eggs three pancakes and more than a few sausage slices. Food tasted amazing and the pancakes were fluffy with a hint of powder sugar sweetness. Definitely a place to come if you're missing pancakes. There is outside seating and indoor, you order inside then sit down wherever you'd like.

Great local place, good service, delicious food & coffee. Small outdoor table area. Some indoor dining too.

Very tasty small little breakfast spot. If you have a big party, I wouldn't recommend but otherwise very good. The pancakes are very unique. I think they use sugar. The texture and taste is very very good. I would recommend.

My amazing, stick to your ribs breakfast.

Thank god for Mr Pancake. Breakfast I needed badly after eating at German Breweries for two days . Small but adorable. The girl who runs the place was great. Actually from Oklahoma. Loved Mr Bacon

All it takes is a quick Yelp search when traveling abroad to locate the best brunch spots! This was the exact case on our recent trip to Munich. I'm all about finding somewhere delightful for breakfast and the reviews for Mr. Pancake spoke volumes. The restaurant itself was pretty small - but cozy. We lucked out that we arrived right before a wave of people rushed in - so the four of us got seated quickly. I had an order of their pancakes (delicious.) Each of our meals came decorated with a tiny American flag, which was pretty awesome. Every single one of us was happy with what we ordered and it geared us up for an entire day of sightseeing.

This is probably my favorite pancake place in town. Very fluffy and delicious pancake.

Mr. Cherry pancakes HIGHLY RECOMMEND! DELICIOUS!

I'd give 6 stars if possible. This was, hands down, one of the most delicious breakfasts we've had in Munich by far. And, as Americans, I can say...honestly better than a traditional American version of this breakfast. We ordered the Mr. Bacon (3 pancakes with real maple syrup, 4 strips of bacon, and two over medium eggs), the Mr. Cherry (3 pancakes topped with vanilla sauce and cooked cherries) with bacon and eggs added, and two Americano coffees. Firstly, the pancakes were fluffy and sweet...perfectly made. We live in New England, so we know good maple syrup..we're kind of snobs about it. That maple syrup was incredible. AND it was served warm, which was even better. The pancakes with vanilla sauce and cherries were worth the up-charge. The cherries were tart and sweet and the vanilla sauce added such a nice mild smoothness to the whole thing. Loved every bite. Now, you're going to think I'm crazy, but the BACON...seriously tasted better than bacon in the States. It's not cooked crispy over here, like we do in the US. But the actual flavor of the meat was something different altogether. I was definitely "mmm-ing" as I stuffed my face. And, of course, the eggs. I don't think I've ever had a perfectly cooked..I'd rephrase- appropriately made- over medium egg until I came to Munich. I only ever order over medium eggs and they always come back too cooked (egg yolk cooked through). These eggs were perfectly over medium and I didn't even have to order them that way. The coffee is strong, which after a lot of weak and watery coffee in Munich, I wasn't complaining. Overall, LOVED every bite. Very reasonably priced. Would visit again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!

I hesitated between 2 and 3 but i decided to be nice. Why only 3? First, with a second thought, i think 10€50 is pretty expensive for 3 pancakes , 2 eggs and 4 stripes of bacon. Without even a juice or a coffee included. + My eggs were too cooked. Then, it was raining outside and we were queeing under the rain (ok thats not their fault) but no one in the staf came just to say hello, to apalogize for the Line, to communicate the time left of waiting... And people were litterally cutting the line. The staff didn't care. Maybe they consider that it's not their job but for me it's part of the customer satisfaction. Sooo, not a good experience. Next time, I'll do my own pancakes and eggs, it will be less expensive and quicker to serve! (I waited like 40min outside...!)

very good food! taste of pancake is light -- almost like funnel cake (not in a bad way). loved the blueberries ! also , we had bacon and that was tasty . Nice people who work there but they could come check on you more often . also have very nice heated seats and it's a little cozy place, and a good place to relaxe.very good food!!!

Perfect breakfast. Funny that it's American themed, but it's good!

California done better than California itself - in the heart of Munich. Visiting Munich - seeing…read morethis place as a breakfast choice was fun - and honestly I wasn't initially enamored as I expect something like this to be a caricature of the real thing maybe. But the menu felt unique and interesting enough to visit. I got the Apple Almond Affair - stacks of pancakes, roasted apples and almonds - interlaced with vanilla cream, whipped cream and a side of vanilla ice cream. The Palm Beach - a coconut infused chia pudding with fruit. And - the Hermosa Beach - hash browns topped with mushrooms, onions, egg, bacon and cheese. Additionally - coffee! I was very satisfied with all the flavors - as I mentioned - better than California actually offers. The apple pancake dish was decadent but not over the top intensely rich as one may expect it to be. The hash brown dish was super flavorful and pleasantly presented, with fried eggs perfectly adorning the stack. And the chia pudding was also delicious (covered in bananas - which I removed for myself but were eaten by my companion). Currents and other fruit was atop this dish - a lovely flavorful pudding. Service was outstanding, welcoming. Seating - busy morning but no real wait. Cash only on this day due to network issues but that was ok. Just a very inviting space with lovely people and uniquely outstanding food. Must visit in Munich no matter where you are from!

It's very interesting/confusing to see other Californians review this place AND say that it is authentic to their experience going to a diner back home. Our table ordered omelettes with toast, OJ, and coffee. While the latter were fine, I take issue with the main dish. Every diner I've been to back home has Heinz ketchup and perhaps a hot sauce like Tabasco or Cholula. Every other table in sight also lacked these items, which definitely made my meal less enjoyable. We need seasoning beyond salt and pepper if we are going to call this place California-inspired. Service-wise....it's Germany, not California. Leave your expectations for cheerful and attentive service back home. It ain't happening here. Lastly, cash only? Even cash only joints here tend to post a sign somewhere to alert you in case you don't know. We found ourselves scrambling due to this policy. Ambiance and decor was boring and I have definitely seen something like this in California. SKIP California bean (unless you're in a bind like we were)
