We got it all done in two hours start to finish. Good tip each for all three. Care at all times for all the antiques, which can be fragile. So the house isn't ready for furniture , so in the garage it all goes . We ll get it cleaned before we take it in. The crew will come back and take it in for placement in a couple of months. I think this is service day number Three for us over five years. I highly recommended This group.

As for what he calls eight lines of scratching he says could not have been caused by his (John) dragging the chest, he says the eight lines of scratches were caused by my husband dragging it. By his own logic, the scratches were caused by the chest being dragged. And several lines are possible in one drag because of the width of the deteriated water damaged legs made several contact points along the floor. It remains true the scratches did not appear until our moving day and John is the only one who moved the chest.

We had some friends come in to help get things boxed up after a terrible experience with another moving company, who told me one thing and my husband something completely different. I decided to be proactive and look on Angie's List for reputable moving companies, and H & R was the first one that came up. Robert was incredibly nice on the phone, and I knew right away they were the company we would go with. Our movers, Shawn and Leo, are THE BOMB. We were notified yesterday they'd be a little later than originally scheduled, but that was fine. I had some last minute stuff to take care of anyway, so I certainly wasn't going to be unhappy about a couple extra hours to get stuff finished up. There was construction on my street, so unfortunately they had to park BEHIND our apartment and then move everything that way, especially since everyone and their brother were parked where the moving truck should have gone. I'm going to be totally honest, it is always REALLY hard for me to relax, particularly when I feel like I should be doing things and aren't. After a while I just got comfortable on the couch and let them take care of it. They even moved my heavy-ass armoire with (mostly) the greatest of ease. (As a good friend of ours said about the armoire the last time we moved, "eff that heavy ass thing, I am NEVER moving it again." We also have a tricky cal king bed frame that needed to be taken apart. No problem. Also found out that there were roaches (ew) nesting underneath it. When they got to our new house, we sprayed it down with Raid to make sure they weren't our welcoming committee. Overall, Leo and Shawn, plus H & R Moves You, have done an amazing job helping us during a crazy stressful time, not just for us but America in general. I cannot recommend them enough.

H & R Movers AZ Review…read more Very unfortunate experience, not only the physical damages done to our appliances but the lack of customer service. It was great over the phone but a nightmare afterwards. See below for details: The service to move some appliances was requested for a Monday at 11:30am, the owner advised the charge was $200, for two man. Sunday night, he contacted us to advise that he had a change of plans and could only make it at 7am, unfortunately, we were in a rush to get those appliances and agreed to change the time last minute and cancel the plumber that was going to help out to plug in all the stainless steel appliances such as a dishwasher, refrigerator and stove. Monday comes, and the owner shows up by himself. The appliances were not even covered with any blankets. He struggles to get in the appliances by himself through the doors, and drags the refrigerator scratching it, as I call him out he said - no, i'm not. Then proceeds to complain about me calling him out. The pain of seeing things getting damaged proceeded, fortunately our handy man was able to help him get the refrigerator in. At payment, he was paid for the amount he requested and got a $20 tip. Shouldn't have happened but it did. While he wrote "No damages" on the receipt, we corrected it to state "Damages". The following week, I proceeded to contact HR Movers to attempt to file a complaint. I leave a voicemail. Days later, we receive a call from a very nice lady asking for the dolly that was left in the backyard. We then followed-up by asking her if she was also calling re the voicemail left regarding filing a complaint. She then said her phone lines were not working correctly and that she wasn't aware of any damages but that was going to contact us to follow-up. The owner then followed up by calling to threaten me that if we leave a bad review he will then let everyone know not to hire us for our business. Sadly, it took me a while to leave a review but was concerned on how he was going to react being so new in Tucson, this was a HORRIBLE experience.

I would love to give Home Run Movers 5 stars because they are very nice but I can only give them 1…read morestar. The first star I deduct is due to their low ball estimate of the time and expense of the move. It ended up taking twice as long and costing twice as much as was estimated. That is $1,000 more than estimated. I did move from a 3rd floor apartment to a 2nd floor condo with several glass tables and mirrors but they knew that when they estimated it could be done in 4-5 hours with 3 movers. It took 9 hours. The second star deduction is that they worked as if they were being paid by the day and not by the hour. They were not slow but they were not fast. I have seen movers who really moved with urgency. Fast movers move quickly on the stairs when they are not carrying boxes. These folks were not fast movers. If they were paying $210 per hour I think they would move faster. They lost another star because I paid for 3 movers and got 2 experienced movers and an 18 year old cousin who had never moved anything. He stood around in the beginning waiting to be told what to do. He also showed no initiative regarding doing what he could be doing. There were times he was checking his phone and taking significant rest breaks. I argued I should pay less because I only had 2 and a half movers but my argument was ignored. They finally lost the fourth star because when I went back to the apartment I found that they had forgotten a 2.5 x 4 foot framed print in the bathroom and also left some of their garbage from wrapping items. There are positive things to say. They were very careful. They called in advance and arrived early. They worked to reassemble tricky furniture. They were also very friendly.

Andrew (owner / a great salesman) estimated about 3 hours. (PERFECT, because I was leaving at 6am the next morning, so they'd be done around 12pm.) The movers showed up sometime after 9:30ish am. They did call to let me know they were running late. One guy smelled like weed and looked like he literally just woke up. At 10am an employee (he told me he'd only been working for them for a little over a month) left a tape roll on the floor, and while carrying an end-table, tripped on the tape roll and KNOCKED A HUGE HOLE in the sheetrock of the house I just sold The mover hurt his ankle (I felt bad for him) but BOTH guys left my house around 10:15am. The owner Andrew contacted me and told me that he had a replacement guy who'd be at my home at 2pm. Then (the guy who hurt his ankle) let me know his replacement would be at my house between 4-5pm. Then, he (injured new guy) let me know it would be after 7pm. Then, he (the injured, new employee) let me know that they could not help me at all that day...no help was coming, no replacement. (It was now 3:30pm.) The last contact from Andrew the owner assured me that everything was OK, and to take a 'breather' and to not panic. Then there was NO more contact from Andrew, the owner. He wouldn't offer up any other solution, no additional guys. (He knew I had to be out of my house 6am the next morning.) No compensation for the HOLE knocked in my wall. No compensation for wasting my entire day while I sat around waiting. (I have texts between all involved to backup the series of events if Andrew, the owner, tries to dispute this claim/review.) He was completely unprofessional, did not follow through on the move. I received 15 minutes of work from Veterans Moving company, they damaged my home, then never showed back up to complete the job. SO then I had to book an EMERGENCY MOVE from another reputable moving company that cost triple the price because I needed them at 5pm.

Long story short, A two man team turned into a one man team due to one calling in, the other one showed up over two hours late despite me being in constant contact with Andrew (the owner) trying to find out when help would be there, and while we were on the phone Andrew placed blame on his employees and was swearing when trying to give me excuses. By the time his employee got to me I had unloaded 99% of the trailer myself only needed his help for 3 items, so I paid him a $1 per minute of his time and sent him on his way. Bottom line, based on my experience: Poor business skills, unreliable, would not recommend. Sometimes the cheapest is the cheapest for a reason. Unfortunately for me, sometimes the last one with an opening is the last one for a reason. .... and to the lady with damaged furniture in a previous review: don't waste your time getting a lawyer. Even if he is insured you only get 60 cents per pound, despite the value. Best thing you can do is warm others.

Hector and his company are AMAZING!…read more We lived elsewhere in Arizona and he came from Tucson to help retrieve our items when a dishonest moving company held them hostage. He was honest, arrived on time despite coming from out of town, worked in heat over 105F, drove our incredibly heavy items across country on schedule and rescued our items we fared otherwise gone. He and his staff did three times the lifting and work of the first company and were fair on the pricing, beyond fair considering what we paid the first company, delivering our goods in perfect condition.
