Fair enough; I did appreciate the professionalism of the call. But then, a few days ago I received an anonymous text message (with no company or name given) in which I was thanked for my business. The text went on to say that they (whoever "they" were) had signed up on Thumbtack, and I was asked to leave a review. Again, no name or company was given. I Googled the phone number sending the text, and it came from The Brigade. I get that it was probably an automated message sent to everyone in their phone list. However, given that I was never a customer--and the fact that the text didn't even identify who they were--I was very annoyed. In the future, I would suggest that any automated messages clearly contain identifying information, and that they only include customers they actually worked with.
