Menudo was given to me cold and it wasn't even good. Over priced and not worth it. Sucks to pay over 20 dllrs for a door dash order and they never get the order right. Please make sure you check your door dash menu!! This menudo wasn't bad but it wasn't what I expected based on their social media presence. Customer service was good. A little pricey, but that's always the case with menudo. The actual menudo broth was good after adding the add-ons served on the side. But the cow stomache was a tad chewy and the hominy was a little hard. Menudo is very delicious but they put a lot of granos like it's half of the portion. I ordered a small menudo with pata and pata takes space on top of that they put a lot of granos and barely any caldo. If you like a lot of granos then enjoy. Menudo is so flavorful and tender.. best menudo ive tried so far. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Its not all bland and boring like most menudo places. One of the best Menudo Ive had. When I don't have to add lemon I know it's good. You can get it with grano or without it or with pata or sin pata. We always go with grano no pata and it's very flavor minus all the grease like in some other places. Times about an older gentleman, who is a street vendor, selling menudo on Saturdays and Sundays in Compton. The journalist was raving of how good his homemade menudo is. They start serving menudo at 8am and I got there at 8:10. The menudo has good flavor. Not greasy. No stench. You have options to add; hominy or pata (foot). I got a bowl with hominy. the price is very reasonable. $9 for the bowl. Includes and the fixings and tortillas. Very disappointed. I hate being this person but, I really have to . I was so excited to try this place out after seeing all the hype and reviews . I ordered two menudos con grano and right away you could see how discolored the caldo was . It was sooooo watered down! It's ridiculous . It had no flavor what's so ever I had to add my own condiments at home . It wasn't worth the 40 min drive either . Just go to your local market or restaurant you'll get more flavor there . How do I start, I love menudo one of my favorite dishes/soups(Mexican) I came across Mr Menudo and another Menudo spot in Bell(not gonna mention the name) so I decided to give both of them a try. The first spot in Bell not only was it expensive for a plate the grano was over cooked the menudo broth didn't have any flavor at all, and I added cebolla,oregano,lemon i ended up adding salt. I was disappointed and a bit upset because it was pricey. so a couple of weeks later I decided to try Mr.Menudo on Atlantic in Compton, let me tell you guys that menudo was delicious the flavor in the broth was perfect, I didn't even add the condiments and it was bomb. (Trust me I'm not getting paid for this review) but would like a discount lol J/K. The price is about right , I wished they had an option of bolillo instead of tortilla some of us Mexicans from chihuahua eat it with toasted bolillo but that's ok. I've been wanting to try the menudo for about a month but never got around to it. Something always came up. Finally got my chance to try it this past Friday, and man, was I impressed. It was really clean, flavorful broth with the right amount of spice, and most importantly there was a lot of tripe. It felt like I had never ending bowl of it. Mr Menudo treated me like if I was regular there, went back and forth checking if I wanted anything else and making small char. If you're doing Uber eats pickup, just expect to be waiting 20PLUS minutes even though they let the Uber App know the food is ready for pickup. If you order in person expect to wait OVER 45 minutes. Worst experience and response to a customer concern. Drove 9 miles to this place. Placed my order. Upon receiving my food i asked the person if all items were in bag, he said yes, i didnt want to hold em back. I get home purchased 2 menudos, large and small. I get home, no lemons, misding 2 orders of extra tortillas, asked fir hominy and pata on orders, that was missing. Like really, is it that hard. I posted a message to their instagram, and they get defensive. This was a day later. He sarcastically asked for ticket number and said so he can check cameras to make sure im not lying. SMFH. The owner reached out to me and I expressed my concerned and he also agreed that he gave me less than what I asked for so I asked for my $10 refund. It's not about the money at this point it's about his work ethics and his integrity. Please be careful what you order from him and that you get your money's worth. Saturday Morning we ventured out to Compton, CA from San Bernardino, CA to see for ourselves what the hype was all about. Needless to say; we were not disappointed in the least.
