We called every few weeks and he would assure us that the parts were on the way. Finally I went in a couple times and he wouldn't give us the toaster back. Eventually I had to bring a police officer in with me and he then finally gave me the toaster oven back. According to the officer, this is standard practice for Jay.

If you are wise you will not give business to this crook - I will never ask for services from a…read morerepair man without checking him out first. He came to look at our dishwasher in May and gave us the runaround for months with every excuse in the book . He took our money for the repair which he insisted on up front, he ordered our parts which were under warranty and never returned. We called him many times, visited his store many times and he promised us each time he was coming and never showed up. In November we finally decided enough was enough. We asked for our money and our parts. We were not able to get a refund. Only after we made it clear we would not leave the shop without our parts, we were able to at least get our parts so that we could try to fix it our self which we did. According to what we found out he regularly does this and most people just give up He has a lengthy history of doing business this way.

Our dryer was not working. I sent a text to Mike, who directed me to Tony. Tony promptly responded…read moreto my text. I gave the issue and serial/model number of the dryer. He quoted a price that was extremely reasonable for parts, labor and tax. He arrived at the appointment time on time, fixed the dryer, and was done in less than 20 minutes. Our dryer works like we just bought it 13 years ago! Small business, BBB approved, and great service without hidden fees. We will be going back to them for our appliance needs!

My dryer stopped tumbling and needed to be repaired. My landlord recommended Mike at Appliance…read moreDoctor as they and people in the building had used him before. I looked at the company's website and sent an email, but received an automatic response asking that I call or text. I texted, but received a text back saying that I was probably looking for the person's son, and should text this other number. I texted the other number, and after some back and forth, Mike (or Mike's son? I'm really not sure) he described what he believed the dryer's problem to be, quoted a price, and we scheduled an appointment. The communication/scheduling process was quite strange and overly complex. However, he was prompt, worked quickly and efficiently, and was very kind and considerate. The dryer's working again! He said that he would text me a payment link at some vague time in the future, which was once again strange. I mean it certainly worked out, but it's an odd, disorganized way to conduct business. Really odd to be on two extreme ends of the service spectrum like that.
