First time trying out the Caribbean food at this tiny stall. Only 2 people allowed in at a time due to self distancing. Curry Chicken Roti was massive... filled with lots of chucks of tender chicken. I would have enjoyed it even more if it were a bit more spicier. The Jerk Chicken with peas and rice was also very tasty. Generous portions of rice and chicken and enjoyed the Cole slaw that came with it on the side. There is no place to sit and eat here. So it's takeout only. The food is well priced, big portions and very tasty here. I would definitely go back for more.

This is a take-out place with great Jerk chicken, rice and peas. Since I had a whole chicken here they could give 2 different sauces to go with it, which were goat curry and oxtail sauce. Jerk chicken and Goat curry sauce was totally amazing !!! Clean establishment, friendly staff, fast service.

Ordered the Jerk Pork "Dinner for Two" special, via Door Dash. My first time ordering from this restaurant. (I've enjoyed jerk from various places in Toronto, Ottawa, the Carribean, Central America.) My order arrived quickly, well packaged. Rice & peas were quite hot, but jerk pork was barely warm. Worse, the pork was not fully cooked -- it was cool and rubbery, still very pink inside. Slimy. Undercooked pork is a serious food safety violation. Dangerous. Among other things you can get tapeworms. Since the gravy, presumably from the nearly raw jerk pork, had been poured all over the rice, entire order went into garbage. Also -- minor compared to above -- dinner "for two" came with only one tiny container of orange-coloured coleslaw (?), not even half a cup. At least Door Dash refunded (account credit) entire order. I really want to support local restaurants during this pandemic, but I just say no to food poisoning.

First time trying jerk chicken and it doesn't disappoint me! It's totally I hidden gem in the Peanut Plaza. Would never notice it till my friend brought me there. The jerk chicken Was so juicy and tasty. I ordered Jerk chicken in sandwich and it comes with a free pop ($6.15+tax) and my friend ordered the curry chicken with rice. I tried some of the curry chicken and the chicken was so tender and the gravy was thick too. Will definitely go again with other friends. However they only serve for take-outs.

3.5/5 This is the location where it all began, apparently. The famous jerk takeout is a hole in the wall and certainly not for everyone. If you can endure waiting a really long time during peak hours inside a cramped space heated to sauna temperatures by steam trays, then you are a real Jerk..fan. The Jerk Chicken lunch special comes with rice and beans, coleslaw and gravy. The gravy is just as important as the chicken and don't you forget it! The blackened chicken is fall of the bone tender and moist like you wouldn't believe. Maybe I'm going deaf, maybe I'm going blind or maybe I'm simply out of my mind but this long-time patron feels like quality of Mr. Jerk is starting to slip just a bit. Even so, where the heck are you gonna curb a mammoth-scale huger with moderately tasty and marginally nutritious food for under a $7 these days?

I've seen people eating their rotis there and the portions are pretty big. Service is no frills and the staff are friendly. This is a no frills place where you come for the good food. I got the curry chicken which I thoroughly enjoyed the flavor of the chicken inside, my problem was with the roti. As I cut more into the roti, it looked as though it wasn't cooked properly like patches of dry flour throughout to the point it didn't look appealing. I also grabbed a double which I enjoyed, they are much bigger than the ones I get at home in Va. I never had a Trini soda ~ Solo kola champagne which tastes very similar to the Jamaican version. The gentleman at the front counter was very nice and patient. The decor was definitely a Trini island feel. Bright colors and hand painted pictures. They have seating available for dine-in experience.

Honestly a lot of it I've never heard of before but that was the best part, discovering new good food! We had been told to try doubles while in Toronto so I had been on a search for it. Here it was. Yes I can say everyone with a foodie palate should try this! Just delicious. Two flatbread fried puris (bread type ) filled with the original filling of Chana masala. Slightly spicy but so much flavor. The nice crispy puris and the Chana oozing out makes it messy but so worth it! You can also get meat fillings too , chicken and beef I believe. But I'd a say at the OG is the way to go. Yum. A Trinidad treat in Canada who knew!

Living in Cleveland, the thing that I miss the most is Caribbean/Island food. It being so accessible in Toronto made me feel right at home. Y&E is Trinidadian good, just as you know it. I got the Curried Chickpeas and Potatoes; the scotch bonnet was so spicy that I'm sure I felt my face burning off... which is exactly how I like my spices. Seating isn't the greatest, but... that's what you get at this type of food market/setting. I'll definitely be back during my next trip to Toronto.
