So excited to finally have these noodles!
Kate M.

This restaurant has been on our list of places to visit and we finally made it here today! We got there a little after 11:00 for lunch and we were able to grab a table. It is a smaller spot so if you want to be sure to have a table I recommend going when they open! My husband and I both got Mr. J's Hand-Pulled Noodles for our first visit. We both did them at a mild spice level and I did the "Normal" width noodles and my husband picked the "thin" noodles. We could see the noodles being pulled and made in the back which was so fun!! We both loved our choices and it was the perfect level of spice. The broth was so flavorful and it was such a large portion. We can't wait to come back and try a different kind of noodle!

Food: 3.8/5 We're visiting Orlando for a few days and were super excited to try this place out since you don't see this kind of food in south Florida. We got the hand pulled noodle beef noodle soup, cumin lamb noodles, chili oil pig ear and cucumber salad. The flavors tasted very traditional and definitely hit the spot. Cons were the noodles were over cooked for both dishes and I wish the cumin lamb had a bit more flavor. It was also very greasy. The pig ear was probably the best part because the chili oil was so flavorful. Also, we asked for medium spicy under the impression spicy was very spicy, but it wasn't spicy at all. Portion sizes for the pig ear and cucumber were also small. Do note, we are harsh critics because I originally am from California and my standards are very high! This did hit the spot though after not having Chinese food for months. I would come back just for that.

Came here for authentic noodle dishes and didn't leave disappointed! The spot felt pretty casual but clean which was nice. You order at the front and have your food delivered to you after which fed the casual ambiance; service was quick and pretty friendly overall which was nice. The portions were pretty large - definitely left very full. The noodles were cooked to perfection and the broth was light while not being too salty. The wings were all right, but I probably wouldn't get them again. Their noodles were definitely the star. Overall, I would definitely come back if I'm ever in the area again - quick service and good food, no complaints!

I drove out 45 minutes to try the famous hand-pulled noodles. I was excited after seeing it on social media. The noodles are very customizable. There are about 8 different styles. They range from how thick and thin you want your noodles. I went with what the staff suggested. He was very helpful. For the price I paid I was disappointed by the lack of flavor in the dish. I asked for mine to be spicy but that was all I could taste. The noodles were great and fresh but the sauce that was paired with the dish lacked flavor. The protein that went with the dish was also plain and boiled. If you are lost, the location of the restaurant is in the Publix plaza and is under crabs and wings. We spent awhile trying to find it and realized that it was under crabs and wings when we went.

The first thing you need to know is that the lighted sign above the door still says "Crab & Wings", accompanied by a sandwich board on the ground indicating the true identity of the place. Came in on a weekday and it was not busy. You order at the counter and they bring it out to you. Chose the signature Mr. J noodle soup with a choice of thick noodles after perusing my options. I dug into the steaming bowl eagerly, and found the noodles to be an amazing chewy texture. Where it fell flat was the broth--it was decent but seemed lacking in flavor compared to noodle soups I'm used to. The base spice level really isn't all that spicy. The chili oil they provide on the table did wonders to improve the flavor--it is a must-try! In the end, it's nice that a restaurant like this exists in this part of town, and perhaps the flavors have been adjusted to fit the local palate. I definitely feel that they live up to the hype in their noodles. However, at $20 including tax and tip, I felt that the dish needed either more flavor or a larger portion to make up for the misses.

The food tasted great! The service was timely and the ambiance was very enjoyable. Nice little spot to try some yummy noodles and asian cuisine.

One of my all-time favorite foods. The quality of the noodles and the broth are unmatched. Definitely one of the best hidden gems of Orlando

I found out about this place during an asian event in Lake nona and we really enjoyed it even the line was long. After trying it there we decided to give it a try in their restaurant. We went on a weekday for dinner and we had a table right away. We ordered the food in the counter then you can just seat anywhere you want. We got 10 pieces wings with honey lemon pepper sauce on the side. The sauce is good and chicken is crispy. For main dish I got the mr. J hand pull noodles with small flat noodles. So they let you pick what type of noodles you want to use for their noodle dishes. They made it fresh in their kitchen. This dish was the dish we ordered on the event so I was really excited to try it but it didn't meet my expectation. It taste okay. Clear broth with some sliced beef. Theirs something lacking with the flavor. My kids got the bolognese noodles. It was not that flavorful. It taste bland. Husband got the stir fry noodles. This is loaded with veges and some sliced beef on the side. It was flavorful and we both enjoyed this dish. Its not a bad restaurant. It can surely has a room for improvement. I still recommend it to try.

Enter at Crab & Wings, otherwise you'll drive in circles!!!!!!

First things first, they never removed the previous sign. So be sure to enter thru Crab N Wings or you'll be driving in circles. Look at the menu, then order and pay at the counter. They will bring the food to your table. The noodles were pretty good. We got the hand pulled noodle in soup and stir fried, noodle size #2 and #7. There's only three options for the noodles when it comes to the stir fry, I just forgot which three. The beef were sliced on the thinner side, could've used a little more beef for both dishes. Also ordered a side of tea leaf egg which was very flavorful.

We came on a quiet weekday afternoon. We were one of the first there for lunch. I only gave 3 stars because the flavoring is very light. I feel it wasn't quite there yet! HOWEVER, the noodle is definitely freshly made and was good quality! I def came for the freshly made noodle experience. The tea egg was ok. Kind of normal. All the dishes were fair, lightly flavored. The service was okay. We didn't get water until we had to ask her. She kinda acted surprised that we wanted water lol.

This place is tucked away in a shopping center. It's a little hard to find if you weren't specifically looking for the restaurant since they still had the previous restaurant sign up. You order at the counter and then find a seat. I loved the noodles, it was cooked perfectly! They had tons of options on how you can get your noodles whether you like them thin or thicker. The flavors are very authentic and even my parents enjoyed it. You could also customize the spicyness of the soup.

Love the chopsticks and spoons on the table. Also had vinegar and chili's. On the table. Other condiments at the counter.

Finally made it here to give it a try. It was worth the wait! We almost didn't find it the sign on the building says Crabs and Wings. Cute little place. Very clean. You can tell everything is brand new. I love that they had an Asian cooking show on one of the tv's. It was fun to get a peak in the kitchen to see the noodles being made. Just two of us for lunch and we ordered way to much food but great leftovers. We each ordered Mr J's hand pulled noodle soup. I got mine spicy my mom had mild. I added a tea egg. I ordered the thin noodles and my mom did the regular. Both where amazing. We also order dumplings and the pickled cabbage. All of it was great. Can't wait to return.

Mr. J hand pull noodle with #3 noodles

Heard there was this new Chinese hand pulled noodle shop and decided to stop in for lunch. It was pretty busy when it open. You do order at the registure and just sit anywhere. Place is a little small and about 7-8 tables. I ordered the basic hand pulled noodles with beef that is on their menu. Broth was pretty good and piping hot. Was not salty at all. You do get to pick your noodle size and I got the #3 which was a good thickness for me. The fried wings were pretty decent and the hot sauce was on the side for dipping. Price was a bit expensive for a bowl almost 18 bucks with taxes.

Lots of Sichuan cuisine options as well as some soup dumplings and unique cold appetizer dishes. We started with spicy chicken gizzards. Sliced thin and has a nice chewy texture, this app is refreshing and tasted great. Not super spicy which was perfect for me. Then we ordered the tea smoked duck. Nice big portion of duck with plenty of meat, fat and bone ratio. The smokey flavor is brought out in the meat and it was savory but not overly salty. The braised beef tendon casserole came out piping hot. Tendon was tender and easy to eat. Lots of rice vermicelli in it. Plenty of parking in the lot outside and conveniently located in the Chinatown Plaza.

The key test of the authenticity is how well they can do Dan Dan Noodles and they did very well with this classic dish-subtle flavors, the right amount of Sichuan pepper as well. Good dumplings and cold noodles, too. The space is small, no-frills, and I would guess much of their business is done in take-away as well. However, there is enough room to dine there in comfort and the staff is prompt plus also seems truly interested in their customers enjoying their food. I highly recommend it for casual Chinese right in the heart of Orlando's little Chinatown plaza.

Also I would recommend this dish for family-style sharing rather than someone getting this as their main meal. The Oodle ribs were absolutely delicious, the meat just slid right off the bone and the seasoning is so flavorful! Definitely recommend as a must-try. The ube panna cotta was thoroughly enjoyed by my friend, it's not overly sweet which is a great thing to note, as panna cotta may be known for sugar overload. The suishingen dish is probably one of the most unique dishes I've ordered at a restaurant, it's very gelatinous. Mixing a spoonful of it with the powdered sugar and brown sugar syrup really reminds me of eating straight boba. Very friendly customer service. Inside has lots of seating and is clean. Overall had a wonderful experience here!

The clear broth is super clean and light with a very herbal fragrance to it. Like I feel like that would be perfect to drink if you were sick. But not being sick, I did end up adding some soy sauce just to give it some more flavor. But I like that with the sauces at the table, you can kinda just customize to your liking. I think the knife cut noodles are probably my favorite type of noodles here, but the hor fun goes really well with the clear broth. I also tried the green grape fruit tea and it was so refreshing!
