Had them come out to fix our fence that had been broken since the previous homeowners. The guy was friendly and helpful and came up with a repair plan and a reasonable cost. I even called another fence company that said he would charge the exact same but was not going to be available for months so to go with Mr. Fence. We signed the quote and sent the deposit. We waited about a month which was when they said they would be available. I called each week after that only to be told we would be on the schedule the following week. Two months later they send out the installation worker who had no idea what the plan was and says he has to come back as this was not what he was expecting. They repairs the fence... I guess you could call it that... but they left over a 1 foot gap touching the ground at the bottom. I explained we were getting a puppy and the whole point of the fence is to keep our animals in and other animals out. They sent another installation worker the following week who fixed it and I would say it looked crappy but it worked. Less than a year later and parts of the fence that were supposedly soldering together have already come apart. I will definitely go elsewhere if we get those areas repaired. read more

Five stars for Mr. Fence from us. Salesman Ed deserves special recognition for having the patience to remain so pleasant during my indecision. Due to his hanging in there with me and offering guidance and suggestions, we came up with a beautiful job. Actually it was two different jobs at the same time. One job was an aluminum pool fence. That came out stunning. We also had a compatible white vinyl fence with black aluminum posts at the top at the other end of the pool area. Outstanding!!! Then we had a white vinyl privacy fence installed on the far right property line after the removal of 22 arborvitaies. This was time sensitive and Ed and Dan managed to pull it off. I used Mr. Fence 12 years ago and had them install a vinyl fence. In the 12 years it still looks great and has held up well. A testament to this is just recently I had to relocate my fence which entailed disassembling most of the panels and posts. To my surprise everything held up and they were able to reuse everything. After the relocation the fence still looks like new. I was impressed with the results and highly recommend. Terrible service. Called for a fence repair and was told they would come and look at it for an estimate and repair would be 4-6 weeks out because of how busy they were, fair enough. 2 weeks later I call back and get someone on the phone just to find out that they never even had me on the schedule for an estimate and it would be another 2 weeks for an estimate plus the 4-6 weeks on top of that. Was told they would be out for an estimate the week of 10/12. It's now Friday 10/16 and still no estimate. I am appalled at the level of customer service and will NEVER be using this company. read more

Ed came out to my home for a scheduled estimate to enclose my yard with aluminum and wood fencing. After not hearing a word from Ed for over 2 weeks I called him and sent an email. No response. I called the office and explained the situation, that I was a returning customer waiting on an estimate done 2 weeks prior. The office tried to reach Ed to no avail. Said it was "pretty common" for Ed not to respond. Are you kidding me?? I asked the office if I can assume Mr Fence was not interested in the job and I quote, " I think that's a pretty good assumption". This is not a small job but clearly they could care less. No way to do business. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS. No excuse for bad behavior. I only gave one star cuz I had to, but honestly this business is not worthy of any stars. read more

Called to get someone to quote on a broken fence (not the first time I've called & got no service on the phone let alone getting someone to my house) and spoke to the manager who informed me that a sales person had to come out & they were busy until next week, so I told him the companys sales are great, but when it comes to anything else, their SERVICE SUCKS!!!! And he hung up on me!! Cant this company take constructive criticism????? I was not being nasty, didnt shout, just stating the facts in my case!! So I called back to let him know I was not being nasty, I just thought that a company would want to know when customers have issues they should be informed so they can fix them to improve their SERVICE side because isn't that what business is all about, and he YELLS at me before I can get any words out that he wont stand for people being rude (mind you he's yelling at me!) and then hangs up!! Awful. We asked for an estimate an a fence for the side of our yard. We used a different company 3 years ago for the fence we have around our property. The person who came out was 45 minutes late for the estimate, with no phone call saying he would be late. When he arrived, the first words out of his mouth were not "I am sorry for being late" but instead that he remembered our house because we didn't hire him the first time. He then proceeded to criticize our fence and all the mistakes the first company made. Our fence is beautiful and gets compliments all the time... obviously he holds a grudge. We didn't even remember having them out for an estimate the first time. Because he was late we weren't able to stick around and he asked "are you leaving; are you in a rush or something." Well yeah we're in a rush because he was 45 minutes late. The estimate was then $1000 more than the first estimate we received from the company we used the last time. I think we'll go with the other company and we'll never recommend this one! read more

The fence that that installed has "heaved" over the years. The fence has a Lifetime Warranty for just about everything, but poor workmanship. Ed came out to assess the vinyl fencing around the house and said that he would send an estimate to fix the leveling problem (without guarantees of success) with the fencing. At least 3 weeks now and no contact. Great company to stand by the fencing that they installed very unprofessionally. Will not waste my time with them. read more

Had Mr Fence come by to give me an repair estimate on a fence they installed, I knew the damage would not be covered by warranty but I needed the fence fixed. Ed came by assessed the damage and told me he would email me the estimate, a week went by and still no email from Ed, so I give Mr Fence a call and asked for Ed and he apologized for forgetting about me and told me that he would write up the quote and I would have it by the end of the day, ( ok, no big deal ). It has now been 3 weeks since my phone call with Ed and still no quote not even a phone call. This is no way to run a business Mr Ed, I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I contacted Mr. Fence about 2 weeks prior to our closing date on our new house and met someone out at the property the following week to take measurements. We went over what I was looking for in terms of material, gates, starting and ending points, etc.. A crew came out within the first week after we moved in and installed the fencing in about 3 days (330 ft black chain link). The crew was courteous, left my yard clean and neat everyday when they left, and cleaned up everything when the job was done. On top of all that they even replaced my broken mailbox and post with a new one for no additional charge. The price quoted was what I paid and it included a 10% discount for paying via check instead of credit card. Service was awful. Very unresponsive to phone calls. Did not show up on scheduled time and did not respond until I made several calls. They did not communicate when delays came up. They also had to make significant changes to the original quote for things they did not notice during the walkthrough that impacted where the fence could go. I wish I could give this company less than 1 star. My brand new vehicle (less than three months old) suffered damage as a result of an object falling off a Mr. Fence Vehicle. I stopped, to assess the damage, while their vehicle continued along its way. I contacted the company and was informed that they were so sorry for the issue but would resolve the matter and the damage. I respected this "honesty" and trusted that I didn't need to file a police report. Moral of the story- Mr Fence "looked into the matter" and deny all responsibility. They acknowledge their vehicle was on the road at that time- went to the address I gave them where the incident occured and they said the material the found (same sample as I picked up as proof my vehicle had been struck and damaged) is not something they typically carry on their trucks. As I was informed "Since there is no police report and no video proving the accident- you're on your own". WHAT A STAND UP COMPANY!!!! read more
