Robert was a referral from my next door neighbor. I saw how quickly they finished the roof a few…read moreyears ago at a competitive price so I decided to reach out for a quote. He came by, spent about 10 min walking around, rang the doorbell and gave me a sheet of paper with the quote. Easy and painless as that. I asked for roof quote and got exactly what I wanted. He did not need to come inside or make me listen to a 2 hr sales pitch. I've had at least 2 other companies who tried to do that when I was getting a roof for the quote. 1 of them gave me a quote on sidings instead. The other did not even give me a quote because I decided to kick them out after half an hr. After getting some other quotes I decided to go with Robert and he agreed to come out 2 weeks later. His crew came on time as promised but he wasn't physically there until the end of the day. Overall his crew was efficient. They finished within 1 day as promised. The shingles looked okay, not as flat or even like our neighbors but it appeared to be just fine. They finished the roof before a big snow storm and rain/wind storm within the same week. It was able to withstand everything just fine and no noticeable water leak or anything in the attic. I did discovered a small chipped wood area in the attic which I can see some of the underlayment and shingles but water was not getting through or anything. I will continue to monitor. They actually was supposed to install the chimney as well forgot so they returned a few days later to complete it as promised. Overall fantastic job from Robert and his crew. From the quoting process to the fast efficient work. Cosmetically the shingles could have looked a bit better and more even but functionally it seems to have served its purpose and was worth it for the price I paid.

They even allowed me to text them pictures to get an accurate quote and guidance. I am price-conscious, and Melissa was patient in running multiple quote scenarios from maintenance repair and upgrading different motors. Melissa kept me updated on when I would get the quote, as she needed to get in touch with her Engineers to provide an accurate quote. Not once did I feel like they forgot about me. Bobby was super excellent, too; the day before the install, he confirmed what would happen during the install and what I was getting. Later that night, I changed my mind and wanted to upgrade the motor model and called Bobby after hours. I felt terrible, as it was after hours. He was with his family/kids at home. He was so patient to walk me through what additional features I would get with the new motor and sent me a new quote as we were speaking. Finally, Jose and Robert did a great install. First, I got a text message on the day of the installation where I could track them coming to my house with a time of arrival. They explained how a garage door system works as I was curious and asked specific questions on where I wanted the buttons and things like that to make sure it was installed how I wanted it. They walked me through what they would be doing for the installation. The work was clean and professional. All the wires twist-tied, hidden and tucked where able. No grease, nuts/bolts, or trash left in my garage. They helped with all the programming and walked me through the features of the new motor. Going on 1+ months now, everything is working great, and the garage motor is very quiet and smooth. I highly recommend Shamrock Overhead Doors, only positive things to say. The blank I provide had a blank chip and little work was needed to copy the program to the newly cut key. Wayne was great working with the city for a permit and to bring my driveway "up-to-code". Him and his team worked two half days to re-do my driveway. First consisted of dig up and prep and the next was the repaving. They were a well oiled machine, very quick, thorough, and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending him to my friends or using him again in the future.

We hired Driveway Specialists to completely replace our old driveway in September 2024. After the…read morefirst winter, we noticed a significant puddling issue in one area of the new driveway during snow melts. We contacted the company, shared multiple pictures, and repeatedly asked them to address the problem. We specifically pointed out a visible hump in the driveway that appeared to be preventing the water from draining, including a photo where we circled the hump with the water collecting behind it. We also had a detailed discussion with the company about our concern with winter pooling and the importance of finding a long-term solution. We asked whether grading, additional substrate, or compaction could help prevent the problem. After multiple follow-ups, they eventually returned in the fall of 2025 to address the issue. Unfortunately, the same area has continued to collect water during winter thaws. We recently contacted them again, and they came out to look at the driveway. However, we were not able to come to an agreement on a solution. Their position was that the issue was due to seasonal ground movement and "mother nature." We understand that seasonal ground movement is a reality in New England, but our concern is that a completely new driveway should be designed and installed to provide reliable drainage under normal seasonal conditions at the property. The same area has collected standing water during winter thaws for two consecutive winters, even after the driveway was replaced a second time. We also don't see the same issue with the neighboring driveways. When the water freezes, it creates a sheet of ice in the driveway, which creates a significant slipping hazard. We are disappointed that the drainage issue with the new driveway has still not been resolved.

I ended up paying over twice as much as I had thought to get the snow removed because they had a "minimum" price above the square footage of my roof. I had water leaking in my house and went with the price - but they do not conduct business professionally when it comes to providing accurate pricing information. They were also very poor with communication overall. I would look elsewhere for any roofing or exterior needs. Disappointing and I feel like I got taken advantage of by a company that has more than enough money to go around.

After the bad storms this winter, I noticed a small corner of trim had actually come off exposing the sheathing underneath. Fearing water damage, I called Connell Roofing who had put a new roof on our home 12 years ago (that looks as good as new), and did more modest trim replacement 6 years ago. Dennis and John were out the next day, reviewed all the trim around the house that had some damage, gave an estimate, and said they could start in only a week. While our house has sturdy cedar board siding, the trim boards are soft pine, and there were multiple areas of sunken wood consistent with rot underneath. The bad pine trim was to be replaced with PVC trim that will last a lifetime. When the day arrived for repair, Matt Cabral made another assessment and spotted a couple of additional trim areas that could be seen to need replacement now that all the snow was gone. Additionally he spotted that the chimney flashing needed replacement, and kept an eye on things as the work progressed. The team did a fantastic job removing the damaged pine trim and replacing it with the new PVC trim. It was clear they were experts and highly efficient. They were very careful not to damage the many trees and bushes around the house. When they left there was not even a nail on the ground! Thank you!

The crew was great to work with & all so friendly! The owner, Rob, & his son, Dante, were very available & happy to answer any of my questions! Their prices were extremely fair too! After the job was done, they thoroughly combed the area around the house to pick up any debris & even came back the day after the dumpster was removed to clean up that area too. Plus- my house looks fantastic!
