This year we have been working on a complete backyard remodel. I have had 9 contractors work on the property so far( pool installer, pool heat pump company, metal fence company, retaining wall, patio paver, irrigation, landscaper/ trencher, electrician, and miller fence). Out of all of them Miller fence was the only one that: Sales rep did not respond to my emails Significantly under quoted the amount of fence I would need ( on an extremely small job- only 24 feet plus gate) Had to come out and fix mistakes, cut corners, still finding mistakes multiple times ( example: only using 1 nail on boards, fence cuts at bottom are horrible) Did not clean up after their work- causing 2 nails going into my tractor tires Having employees injured due to lack of training with the equipment they were using (using a jack hammer and was hurt within 30 min on the job) Damaging personal property - downspout ripped off the house, hanging by one screw ..And left like that! Most of the pictures are how the left the job "competed" the first time... I did not think it was fair to pay the last third (so after I didn't respond for two weeks) they said they were going to charge my card that day. I emailed back saying no, and without my authorization, they charged my credit card anyways. read more

Mr. Miller came to my house to give an estimate to fix our fence. I accommodated him at a different time from what we had planned to fit his schedule, no problem. I called her back and she "said went over her prices" and they were correct. Storm brought down a limb that took out a section of our fence. It was hard to get other fence companies around even estimate the repair. Miller did the original fence and it's held up & looked great for 6+ years. The process for getting an estimate, scheduling, and payment was simple and very well done. Quality of work was great - I simply can't even tell any damage happened to the fence after their repairs, and it was done on time with no issues. We were looking to add vinyl privacy fencing to our yard, but had concerns regarding the fact that we live on a high water table. Kim is incredibly knowledgeable on anything and everything fence-related and was able to find a solution that addressed our concerns. We had strong wind and thunderstorms last night and there was no shaking or movement. The products used are high quality and made to last. The installation crew got stuck at another job and was running a little late on the first day, so Aaron (who scheduled our install) jumped in his truck and drove all the way out to us to go over the layout so I could make my afternoon meetings without being asked or prompted to do so. Great service! The installation team (Tim and Roberto) were very professional and worked extremely hard to have everything wrapped up before the weekend. All work was completed within the quoted time frame and our yard was left cleaner than when they had arrived. After a long awaited install date (due to my own inability to communicate and the snowy winter), our fence finally arrived and was installed over three days of pelting rain and less than ideal temperatures. Ed and Elijah were wonderful, friendly and tireless! Our landscape is rocky and hilly but they both tackled it with great success. On some of the sloping landscape they even made a mini stone wall to ensure that no dogs could squeeze under and I found that very considerate of them. I got a granite post mailbox installed by them about 4 years ago. Apparently the installation spot had a large rock so they just installed the post on top of it so it's not deep in the ground. It barely makes the post office regulations for not being too tall. Then someone broke the mailbox mounting bracket and I contacted them for a replacement. After getting me three different brackets that don't fit even though i gave them the hole spacing they said couldn't get a replacement since the mounting holes are now at a different (reading this as custom) spacing. I asked if they could drill a new hole for screws and was told I need to hire someone to do it if I don't have a tool. So then I asked them to mail me the bracket they had and they said they "have no ability to ship". I guess they are banned from using UPS, FedEx or the USPS. Worst customer service for a simple problem and I would recommend that no one ever uses them. read more

The fence looks great but it was a hassle to deal with this company. They have no communication between the office and the workers who actually show up. I had a 6 foot white PVC fence installed on a large yard. It was an expensive job. There was a portion that had to be a custom installation because of protruding tree roots. Unfortunately, the guys who came to do the installation did not know anything about the custom work. They didn't speak English so I couldn't explain what needed to be done. They did it wrong and it looked really bad. If the work was to be done right, either Miller Fence should have told them exactly what needed to be done, or they should have had someone from Miller out to my property on the first day of the job to explain to the men what needed to be done. Instead, the men showed up and did not know what the custom install was supposed to look like, so they did it wrong. I had to wait a month after it was finished, and finally someone from Miller came to my home to look at the fence and he saw how bad it looked in the area near the tree root (where it was supposed to be customized). He took photos and wrote a report and said he'd schedule someone to come back to fix it. When they showed up to do the repair, the guys who showed up again had no instructions on what was supposed to be done. What was the point of the other guy taking photos and writing up the job if he wasn't going to actually communicate this to the crew who were going to do the work? Very frustrating. It got fixed eventually and it looks great, so all is well that ends well. Their price was reasonable. read more

These guys did a good job. I got the fence to block out the crappy view of my neighbor's yard/junk, and now I have a great textured vinyl fence that looks like real wood. The waiting period was slightly over what they predicted, but now that it's up it was worth it. I would use Miller again. read more
