What first stood out to me was a minor concern he fixed that I pointed out upon consultation. At this point, I haven't committed to any offer nor was a quote even given at this time. My gate didn't close properly due to the wood deforming overtime and he went and got his tools and willingly realigned the latch with no expectation of pay or business in return. It was cold out at this time too. He left and I got my quote a few days later. Because of his act of kindness, I chose to go with Fence101. He is a busy person and scheduling may not be immediate, but this is to be expected for a company that does good work. After his team came out and completed the work, I had some concerns about workmanship. To others, it may not have been anything, but being the meticulous person that I am, I brought it to his attention. I was easy about it and he could have just given me some lame excuse, but with no hesitation, he offered to replace the whole panel in both areas that they fixed (2 panels). It wasn't necessary at all, but he stood by his company, their work, and showed he truly cares. You can easily tell, Fabio is truly a good and honest person. His workers are also very kind and polite people as well. everything came out great and I'm happy. My initial call to Smith-Bopp was on a Sunday evening when I expected to simply get routed to voicemail, however Nick answered right away and was happy chat about my inquiry for installing a new fence in my back yard. In the subsequent meetings with Nick for design plan, quotes, etc., Nick was prompt, friendly and transparent. With respect to pricing, I received two quotes on my job; Smith-Bopp was more than 25% below the other quote I received. Not only was their quote good but when the job was complete they actually came in a bit below the stated quote which was a welcome and unexpected surprise. We hired Nick during the very busy spring season and the lead time between the initial quote and when installation commenced was very reasonable. The quote was $2526, which seemed like a high price, as I received a quote from another Fence company for $2600, for the same amount of fence. If Reliable Fence stood behind their $20% discount, that would be $200 off each $1000, of which was not set in the quote. I expected to get a quote for $500 off the average price, which did NOT happen. Reliable Fence lost me as a customer because they were not fair with their quote.
