I went to get my car washed on Saturday. I was very skeptical from the looks of the place, but my car needed washed, and Yelp reviews were decent. I pulled up and there were three cars ahead of me. The guy told me that he would be able to have in completed in 45 min, which was ok because I had a few other things in the area to accomplish. He asked me to leave my car where is was and leave the key. I was a little worried because my care was blocking the sidewalk and was still in the street a little. I left my car, and went to do my other errands in the mission. When I came back my car was being washed by three people, I went into the trailer and took a seat while they finished. The inside of the trailer (office) was not as bad as I have read on Yelp, it was very clean a little warm since it was 80 something degrees outside and no air-conditioning. Though I am use to no air-conditioning living in SF. The guy came and told me that my car was ready. I was amazed at how well they cleaned both the inside and the outside, it was cleaner than the day that I bought the car. They did miss one thing, and when I pointed it out there was no attitude the gentleman simply picked up a towel and corrected it with an apology. Moral of this story is that looks can be deceiving, and this place is defiantly worth the $29.00 I spent to have my car washed. read more

I came to Mr.Ecowash after reading positive reviews on Yelp and I was not disappointed with the results. My car was utterly filthy, having just driven 2,200 miles from Chicago. I opted for the $39 wash and spray wax, and since I was in no particular rush, and Mr.Ecowash is close to my house, left my car there and the employees said they would call me when it was ready. They called as promised and when I came to pick up my car it looked beautiful. The car was spotless inside and out and the paint had that wonderful luster that only a fresh wax can provide. The only "hiccup" was upon getting into my car I noticed that they had forgotten to replace my floor mats. I brought it to their attention and they immediately installed them. Overall I am very happy to have an excellent car wash so close by. An added bonus the loose change in my change bin was still there when I picked up the car. I have found that it sometimes goes "missing" at other car washed. Keep up the good work! read more

Absolutely awful car wash. Missed spots all over the car leaving clearly visible dust and bird poop. I showed them the spots multiple times and they still left me with at least a dozen patches of dust etc. Please don't waste your money here. read more

I admit I was a bit hesitant at first, being that I love my car and I was using a Groupon. From my experience, Groupon discounted services sometimes lack quality due to their pricing, but that wasn't the case here. The online appointment system definitely made things a bit easier, I did get a call from them on the day of to see if I can reschedule because they were running a bit behind. I didn't mind at all, I was just glad they took the time to call ahead as opposed to letting me show up and then laying the news on my while I was there. Everyone there was very friendly, they spent about 2 hours on my car doing a complete exterior and interior detailing. The wait was well worth it! It has been about 8 months and there was definitely a lot of grit stuck on the body. But after these guys were done with it, my car looked like it was fresh off the sales floor (minus a few deep scratches that I have acquired over the last few years). My only regret is that I forgot to take some case out before going there, the guys worked so hard I really wanted to give them a nice tip... I felt bad and actually tried looking for an atm, but I just couldn't find parking. I'll definitely bring my car back again! read more

I work in a building that's serviced by Mr Ecowash, and the way it works is you schedule an appointment through Mr Ecowash's website. I've scheduled maybe 5-7 washes in the past year, and they've missed at least 2 of these. Pretty appalling. At least when they actually wash my car, it's reasonably clean, although they sometimes miss a few spots. Hopefully our building will be getting a new option soon, because I can't believe how unreliable this is. If this service was reliable I'd use them at least a couple of times a month because of the convenience factor. Maybe the physical location provides better service/quality. read more

The Mr. Ecowash manager and staff are extremely nice and professional. I wanted to give my 2003 Nisan Sentra (Goldie), that I have had since high school, her first detailing experience. I browsed around Yelp and saw that this place had the most reasonable price. i thought it was too good to be true, but decided to check it out and I am glad I did!! They are open earlier than most places I found so I was able to drop my car off well before work which was great. Upon dropping my car off the manager showed me some of the stains that might not come out. He told me how much it would cost and explained the process that they would have to use. I left Goldie feeling completely comfortable that I left her in capable hands. I wish I would have taken a before/after picture because Goldie looks phenomenal. I was fully expecting to have to buy new floor mats, but they did the impossible and managed to clean them. They were even able to remove a lot of the stains they said might not come up! Their attention to detail is insane, they definitely went above and beyond. Before leaving I spilled an entire bottle of Vitamin Water in my work bag (smooth I know) and the manager had a towel for me before I could even blink an eye. I will definitely use them in the future - and you should too. read more

This place is in a great location. I left my car there and went to get a manicure at the Mission. They said they would call me back when it was ready. It took them around 40 min to complete the premium car wash. They did a great job cleaning the outside and vacuuming the inside. They even left some coins that they found under the seats. I give them four stars because once I got home I realized that they didn't clean the AC and shift knobs. I was kind of disappointed since I was the only car there. First off, I went to these guys with a groupon. I think that does make a difference. I live a block away from these guys and need a local place to wash my cars. I usually go to tower on market and van ness, which is a hike. The deal was a exterior detail + mats for for $79. Called in to make an appointment, was told to go to the website. Did that, got there and no one was there. Later realized website lets you make an appt out of their business hours. Partially my-bad, the website lets you choose a before business hours time to come and doesn't send you a confirmation either way, but does have a small red * that says something like "note 9-5 for this business". Second time I got it right, things went pretty smoothly. Why 2 star? We'll, the detail wasn't that great. It didn't look any better than the $28 regular wash at tower. Now, this is a 12 yr old car, but I've babied it and if you wax it, it shines. This car was not shining. Plus, I paid $79 plus $20 for a SUV fee and $20 tip. So $120. For a retail price $104 exterior detail (or $124 if they charge a SUV fee for other cherokees). For what looked like a ~$30 tower wash. I understand why these places feel they need to cut corners on groupons, but from the prices these guys are charging I don't think it makes sense. read more

Excellent job thorough cleaning, was doing business in the area and I located detailing shop by yelp search. Learned that there was a surcharge CRV - not stated clearly on website. I can understand surcharge for full size SUV but not for Honda CRV which is same length as a civic. Guys were hardworking and seemed to pride themselves in their work. It might seem weird to write a passionate review about a car wash but these folks are clearly passionate about their work. I found them via Groupon but will be a permanent customer even without a Gruopon. No waiting, just a friendly manager who informed me how long it would take. I took a stroll down Valencia and the eclectic shops there. When I returned my car was spotless. The wax was glasslike and gave off a beautiful reflection that is still shinning weeks later. The interior was white glove clean. I have two dogs and not a dog hair to be found. My car is an'04 Volvo that lives outside but now looks like a pampered garage car. Really clean and really professional! I got the premium wash and they did a spectacular job. It took about 15-20 mins (I asked them to hurry). Since then, I've gotten many other washes, including a wax, and they've always come out great. They even showed me a place where the body shop that painted my car messed up. I was able to go back and get it fixed thanks to them! It's not always fast, especially on a weekend. But it's well worth the wait. read more

I'm extremely happy with this detail service. I had my 98 Passat detailed and it looks gorgeous! The paint looks new! Prior to the detail there were faded areas in the paint, and my interior was trashed with snacks and spills by my kids. Now my car feels like it did when I first bought it. Smells great, looks fantastic. And it only took 1.5 hours. The guys were super nice. Pointed me to a playground in the area where I could let my kids play while I waited. Good wash but took forever! It was hot outside and their campers were horrible to wait in. The trash was also over flowing which baked in the heat and caused a nasty stench. I ended up waking around the corner to get a bite and drink. I'm not a big eco friendly enthusiast so it was more of a convenience than that being a big sell. In dire need of a car wash after transporting my car cross continental. My car was covered in bug guts. I prefer hand wash places and this is the only one I could find in SF. I was pretty happy with the wash considering how gross it was before hand tho they did missed a few spots on the rims and they weren't able to get some of the bug guts off completely. I did appreciate the manager pointing it out and trying to buff it out with some wax tho it didn't work. I would give it 4 if it was a little cheaper but I do realize this is SF so maybe I will revise later. read more

This place is awesome!! I have been walking past Mr. Eco Wash on Cesar Chavez for months because I live in the neighborhood but finally got the opportunity to try them out. After borrowing my mom's car for the month and her generously letting my huge dog ride in the back seat for endless trips to Fort Funston, you can imagine how her cream colored cloth interior was looking. I've never had a car detailed before this but I was so happy to get an appointment on the spot. Got the interior detail package with a full shampoo of all the seats and carpets and was amazed with the results. All of the visible stains had been removed, every nook and cranny was thoroughly cleaned and the car shined! Really very thorough work (including trunk space), especially the interior, which almost appears detailed, short of cleaning a food stain from the back seat. I subsequently discovered an ashtray interior LED that I've never before seen switch on upon opening, so they must have even wiped clean some hidden electrical connection. This is where most other car washes fail, they leave my rims still dirty but not Mr Ecowash! These guys pay attention to details and are fast! It was a little over my budget to spend on a car wash but being honest I'm really impressed. I guess they used clay to stop oxidization on the paint, the paint was flawless after the service.(Really friendly manager explained every step of the process) The location is a little of the main stream of downtown of San Francisco but it worth to go the extra mile and the manager/owner guy said they are thinking to come with an on the spot cleaning service.
