I coordinate the move (from Los Angeles) for my elderly parents (77 years old) from El Centro to…read moreImperial, and let me start with the movers were super polite and VERY accommodating. We had to change the move date 3 times due to the house not being ready. The day of the move they showed up early with a 20 foot truck versus larger (moving a 3 bedroom house) granted a 20 foot might have worked. I gave him an estimate of all the items prior and my parents ended up having more boxes than estimated. My main complaint was that after the walk through and knowing it wasn't going to fit in one trip (because of the extra boxes) they should have called me to ask how I wanted to proceed being I was technically the client, and I would have said to leave the boxes and for them to take all the large items in one trip. I had estimated about 2 1/2 hours total being I've moved plenty of times. They ended up having to make two trips and a total of 3 1/2 hours. At the end I feel like they should have met me halfway when it came to charging me for the extra hour being that they didn't communicate it was going to take two trips before they started loading. By the time they relayed that it was going to take two trips they had already loaded the truck including all the boxes and half of the big furniture. Being that is what they do daily, I feel as though they could have called me and given me options on how I wanted to proceed in order to keep it to one trip. However, the valley heat is not joke so considering it was over 100 degrees, I'm sure they didn't want to be out there that long either. I would definitely use them again, I would just have to make it clear about only doing it all in one trip.

The day they were packing I had to follow them around picking up parts to the furniture they were loading that otherwise would have been lost. When they unloaded, there were a large number of items that were either scratched or outright broken. We're still looking for some pieces to the furniture like feet and knobs. They had left the hardware to put our master bed back together in the House we're moving from. I had to make Charlie pick them up and bring them to the new house so they could put the bed back together. My wife gave them the check for the remainder of the move and now Charlie won't answer me about compensation for the damaged and broken items. When you pay a 'professional' for a service you expect professionalism but you won't find that here. Save yourself some money and just hire some labor to load and unload your own truck. You'll get the same results for significantly less cost. This company will disappoint you. The guys that loaded were nice enough and worked hard but they're not professional movers. I don't blame them, I blame their management.

They called to say they were going to be 90 minutes late. Reviewed my inventory during the call. I reiterated they would need a 26 ft truck. They showed up at 345 PM in a rented 20 ft UHAUL truck. Abraham stated they would need to make 2 trips ( who does that? why do you not have the right equipment?) The workers were slow and lazy. At 1125 PM they were done. But they tore the zipper on my sectional and destroyed the newly installed tile floors from pushing the washer & dryer and sectional. I sent pictures email and calls with no resolution. It's been 11 days since the move. Do Not Hire Them! My next communication will be through an attorney.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS I hired them expecting professional…read moreservice, but what I got was a complete breakdown in logistics and a total lack of respect for my property. Save yourself the headache and go with a different company... that is unless you love broken furniture and terrible/non-existent customer service! The company showed up understaffed with fewer workers than we'd contractually agreed to. They didn't send the number of workers promised, which made the entire process slow, disorganized, and ultimately dangerous for my belongings. From the moment they showed up we contacted the company to address the concerns, but given we had everything scheduled logistically to be gone from our house that day, we had no option but to move forward with the smaller worker crew that showed up. Long story short, we wasted twice as long as it should have taken to get everything done due to the lack of movers. And in the process, they managed to completely break some brand new furniture in the process. It was broken so badly that they just threw it away. BUT THE WORST PART IS THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE: The "screw-ups" during the move were bad enough, but the aftermath has been even worse. Trying to resolve the damage and the contract breach has been a nightmare. Their customer service is dismissive and completely unwilling to take accountability for their failures. Even today, they were supposed to connect me with their claims manager (after about 5 phone calls and 5 emails), yet failed to do so as they said they would. It's clear they care more about booking jobs than actually fulfilling their contractual obligations or protecting your home. I've had to spend my own time drafting emails and fighting just to get a response regarding the property they destroyed. Do not believe the hype. They are understaffed, they break your furniture, and they will leave you hanging when it comes time to make it right. STAY AWAY.
