Text messages were sent to him and we had no response. It's like the earth had swallowed him. He disappeared with Half the payment. Be careful. Don't trusted him.

I hired this guy back in June to do some yardwork at my home at 1451 Olive. The gardener, Carlos,…read morelists his business address two blocks away at 1226 Olive. Very unprofessional. As soon as I called him, he called back from another out-of-state number. He blew up my email, texts and phone for two days with his incessant calls, texts and emails. Can't do anything on his own, or follow directions. When I told him I didn't need to be receiving that many calls about my yard he immediately got defensive: "Well excuse me!" he said, then tld me he was very professional and that wasn't like him but he hasn't been able to let go of it since. EVERY time I have talked to him since, he brings it up. So, initially, he proposed doing my yardwork in three phases: 1) clean: cut all trash and debris from front, back, & side of house, trim most trees shrubs and cut grass, work on getting sprinkler system back working and haul all debris to dump -$350; 2) cut down tree on side of house and haul to dump - $250; 3) cut down 2 "dead" trees near curb and haul to dump - $550. I paid him $350 for phase 1. My sprinklers still aren't working. Before he would complete one job/phase, he would be trying to get paid for the next one. The "dead" trees he wanted to charge me $550 to cut down were just dormant. Once he found out I didn't want that done, he got a deposit of $125 from me to cut the tree on the side of the house down and I haven't seen him since. He wanted me to pay him to mow the lawn and I told him he could mow the lawn once the tree was cut. Last time I spoke with him, over a month ago, he said he had just gotten out of the hospital after being treated for COVID-19. He said he would get on it. Just tried calling him one last time at (901) 247-9571 to give him a chance to make it right. No answer. Maybe he died from the Coronavirus. I doubt it. Just a small-time hustler trying to come up.
