One downside of how great Mike and Marcus and his crew is is that they are so loved, when the summer comes, they have to work 20 hours a day to keep everyone safe, cool, and happy. I've known and worked with Mike since I was thirteen. He hasn't changed a bit. He is so dedicated and good at what he does. Instead, he abandoned the job during my pregnancy and shortly after we had paid him more than $19,000, leaving unfinished work and subcontractor issues that needed correction. He informed our insurance company that the project was 98% complete, even though work remained unfinished and some work required correction. He later filed a civil lawsuit against us seeking payment that we dispute, including amounts we maintain had already been paid, mitigation payment, and amounts for work that was not completed. Before he abandoned the job, at his direction, we met his wife, Carmen Fimbres, at their bank to deposit a check payment. The check was processed, and we have documentation of that payment. The amount is nevertheless included in the money he is seeking from us. Communication was also difficult. He expected his calls to be answered immediately. On more than one occasion, after I returned his call, he spoke to me in a harsh, raised tone and said, "Do you have a problem with me?!" We are now dealing with the stress of an unfinished project and a lawsuit over money we believe was already paid. Based on our experience, we would not recommend Nicholas Sanchez Jr. or NS Construction.

I understand that things come up, but basic courtesy means letting your customer know. He didn't seem to bother. While writing this review, I noticed others with the same experience, so this is clearly a pattern rather than a one-time thing. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this guy.
