They started a AYCE skewers and the taste amazing! It was super cheap and they weren't to busy. They constantly refilled water and napkins so we never needed to ask for anything. Definitely a great place to eat if you want a nice quiet place to relax. read more

Back again, with another 5 star review! I really do love this restaurant. As always, Professor Guy's hospitality and friendly demeanor made my day. We tried some new things: Grilled tendon: Very flavorful if you're into that. I can't decide what my favorite is, between this and the large pork intestine. Braised pork: Good. Braising sauce, dark and rich. I prefer the thai pork or pork belly skewers for that grilled flavor. Personal preference! Tofu skins: Decent. The tofu skin they use is the textured, bumpy kind rather than wrinkly or smooth. Not what I'm used to. Doesn't absorb as much sauce in the appetizer-type dish. (They use these in the soups, though and it's great in that!) Chicken liver: SurPriSing win, here!! Best chicken liver I've ever had. It was cooked perfectly-- not dry, soft and fluffy inside. The sauce was subtle and not overpowering. And the sprinkle of fried garlic really, ReaLLy hit. Of course, dont order this unless you like liver at least a little. Not for everyone. Then to highlight our usuals: Cucumber salad, lovely as always. We ordered a double portion, right away. We also got the lamb skewers, the fish soup, and the CRAB RANGOON! Ate here yesterday. The restaurant was nice. We went because we saw they had an ayce skewers deal. The menu they first gave us was like the regular menu. We had to ask for the ayce menu. They never explained how the ayce menu worked so we kinda just winged it. There's 2 price points on the paper but we didn't know which comes with what price point. The service was a little slow but the servers were nice and kept apologizing for the long wait. The food was good but took a long time to arrive at the table. They also got some of our orders wrong. I was in the area of W Sunset getting my haircut, and afterwards I was in need of something delicious to eat. So I do what I always do and check yelp for surrounding area for new places. Mr. ChopStix came up and decided to go. Upon entering I was greeted by the staff and given a table to look over the menu which is very extensive by the way. I love a restaurant with a lot of options so this was a great start. The restaurant itself was clean, spacious, and smelt great inside. Now to the real showstopper the food. I eat a lot of Thai food and have dined at many Thai restaurants and I will say this is the best I have had. I ordered the Thai Sausage Fried Rice, and had them add Chinese Broccoli to it. I also ordered a Thai iced tea for my beverage. Which I will also say was exceptional. No back to the rice the flavor was amazing, the vegetables were fresh and well cooked. The Thai sausage was delicious as well and is now my favorite meat to put in fried rice. I wanted to order so many more dishes but since I was alone I only ordered one thing. I definitely will be back so I can try other things they offer. I highly recommend Mr. ChopStix you will not be disappointed. The prices are so reasonable as well especially for the quality of the food. The staff here is amazing Chef Guy came out and spoke to me directly and let me know that these are his grandmothers recipes. Not only do they offer Thai dishes, but also Chinese dishes as well. Took the wife and kid there for the first time. Previously went with my mom and it was all northern Chinese food. Now they switched owners and it's 50% Thai and 50% Chinese. Flavors were on point and extremely authentic. Enjoyed the food very much. The only thing that irked me was the slow service. I would dare even say they are understaffed. Ordered 4 dishes, only 2 came out in a timely manner. By the time the other 2 arrived, we were full. Really nice to know we have such an authentic Thai place so close to home. read more

Action Requested: Please update your restaurant signage outside by clarifying you serve more than just Chinese cuisine -- that way, you could attract more customers. I'm serious, please update! There were so many times my spouse and I skipped over your restaurant because we wanted Thai, Szechuan, or other very particular Asian foods because there was no hint that you might've served it on your menu. Now that we have seen your menu, of course we'll return for our various cravings and food adventures, but still! Please update your signage if it's not too costly. I rarely rate this low but here we are. I saw that their Yelp review had great combination lunches with entrees, steamed rice 1.50 upcharge for fried rice, crab rangoon, egg roll and soup for under 20$. They dont do that anymore. Now its an all you can eat BBQ stick place also serves small portions of entrees like Kung Pao chicken etc. I ordered crab rangoon, egg rolls, pot stickers, kung pao chicken and I went with the servers suggested signature sticks, 2 beef and cauliflower. I also ordered an iced tea with lemon, that alone was &11.95, but you get refills.......So, the crab rangoon was OK, the wrapper wasn't crispy, it was a bit under cooked. The egg rolls are from Walmart and sucked. Seriously, flavorless but at least they were deeply fried. Nice crunch. A sweet sauce came with the egg roll and that was like the highlight of the meal. The pot stickers were a bit crunchy which I like, but nothing special. 5 out of 10. The sauce was also OK, 6 out of 10. Kung pao chicken was OK. Lots of peppers and nuts, decent saltiness. The problem was the chicken. It had a slight crisp to it, but was as dry as shoe leather. The skewers were just not my jam. The two beef skewers were properly seasoned with a bit pepper and juicy, just lacked taste. I dont know what cut it was, but it wasn't high end cuts. The cauliflower was OK, not very crispy but i hadn't really given thought to how it would be. The tea was great, and it's actually funny they serve it in a mason jar cup, which is small. Overall the bill was like $48 with change. I'll never be back. The service was amazing however. The waitress was great, very warm demeanor. read more

B is for various ayce skillet and soup dishes for $26.99 and C is for both for $32.99. We tried menu A on this visit. It was excellent. There is enough variety in the A menu to get a fun combination of grilled corn, grilled cauliflower, grilled broccoli and the amazing grilled chives along with an assortment of grilled meats. It was the most terrible meal I've had in years. I asked the waitress how many pieces is in the braised pork bun, and she told me 4-5, I was like ok, it's shareable so I ordered it. When I pick up the food and found that there is only one piece, ($12.99 for one piece!) she told me she misheard me and thought I was talking about the pan fried bun under it. And the filling barely filled up half the bun! Everything else was horrible as well. I ordered the Mongolian beef and dry chili chicken, the meats are all tough and dry, portions are extremely small for almost $20 a dish. What a shock to see the variety of Northern Szchewan Chinese dishes offered! Since it was just the two of us, we couldn't order as much as we wanted. But did end up with this. * Lamb Skewers $2.69 each - We always love a good lamb skewer and this one did not disappoint. * Stir-fried Spicy Shredded potato $14.99 - Shredded potatoes are such a simple dish but we can't help but order it whenever we see it on the menu. * Spicy Pork Wontons $9.99 - These were plump dumplings with a nice chili oil. * Dry chili chicken $17.99 - This dish was only average. I guess the Husband was expecting something else but it was okay. It had a nice flavor and all, but there are probably other dishes that aligned better with our taste buds. Service was okay. I was initially given a fork (no chopsticks) with my place setting. The Husband commented on that, as we noticed other diners got chopsticks instead. I mean, it is called Mr. Chopstix! We arrived about 30 minutes before closing. After looking at yelp, I couldn't wait to try the beef roll. The pictures of all the food look really awesome. There was no one in the restaurant. We were the only patrons. The waiter asked us if we wanted anything to drink. And then asked us what we wanted to order. I let him know that it was our first time in there, and that we needed some time to read the menu. I really like this menu as the pictures are very large. There is a disclaimer on the menu that the dishes may not look exactly the way they are in the picture... That was a bit strange to read lol. In retrospect, I can tell you, the dishes are really big and we really over ordered. Once all of the food arrived, I told the waiter we were unfamiliar with the new size. He laughed and said he could tell because we ordered so many different items. Seven items for three people... What we ordered: Spicy pork wonton Beef roll Chicken fried rice Pan fried potstickers Lamb skewers Szechuan eggplant with chicken Honey, walnut shrimp The food started arriving fairly quickly since we were the only people there. The beef roll, was a bit dry. Another interesting part of the beef was the pancake was hot, but the beef was cold. I asked for dipping sauce, he said they were sauce, rolled up in it. It was just too dry. The walnut shrimp is probably the best walnut shrimp I've ever had. my son enjoyed the fried rice. I didn't really get to eat it as I filled up on the spicy wonton and lamb skewers. The eggplant was definitely good also. All in all, food was average to good. Service was good. The original owner left, now it's like Thai and Chinese style. We did all you can eat, omg it's really really bad. I don't know what kind of oil they were using to make the skewers. It's smelly. I have been to Mr Chopsticks for 7 years the food was good before the owner changed, now it SUCKS because I my favorite spicy wonton and beef roll before the owner changed today the "new" restaurant made the wontons more harder then normal and the beef roll used to have 6 pieces for about $12.99, now it's 4 pieces for $15.99 plus the beef inside was not tender. I liked everything, the spicy pork wonton was more spicy than I could take. The fried rice was average, the honey walnut shrimp was yummy! The beef roll was good, but strange that it was hot and cold at the same time. Eggplant was a bit on the spicy side. The service was ok, it was definitely a slow night. No energetic vibe here!
