This company is a scam I paid $544 for a dumpster April 11 they dropped off dumpster the next week I called for a pick the lady on the phone said she is sending a truck to pick dumpster up no truck came for almost two months June 24 dumpster was picked up now for the bad part i checked my bank account mr cheapee changed my account $1000 so I called Mr Cheapee the same lady answer the phone she said it a authorization hold it will be refunded at the end of the day two day later they refund $544 I was never told about authorization hold or sent a contract I filed a claim with my bank I never authorized them to take money out my account they scam me out of a extra $488 read more

Seems like these guys are hit or miss. Some people have a good experience, some have a bad one. Mine was a bad one. The dumpster they brought was rotted and full of holes on the bottom. I told the driver that stuff was going to fall through and he said no it won't. I got him to climb up and look at this big the holes were. Then he said "yeah, I guess stuff will fall through". We had to use pieces of sheet rock and carpeting to close the holes so my driveway didn't end up looking like a trash bin. By the way, they were supposed to pick the dumpster up 2 days ago and still don't know when they are going to get it. Save yourself the aggravation and use someone else. Update... thanks for the reply Anthony. The bin has your company's name, phone number, and web site on it, so maybe someone else is using your bin. I would hope your company wouldn't send out a dumpster with huge holes in the bottom, allowing the dumpster items and debris to fall through. read more

Ordered dumpster over the phone (NO PRICES ON WEBSITE should have been a warning) and given total of $295. They advertised $199 on internet(Facebook) but they don't honor it. No mention of actual weight limits prior to delivery. Bill with hidden fees And weight limit charges emailed hours AFTER delivery of dumpster. Took 7 extra days to pick up. When call to question over charges informed will get refund but never do. Then when get in contact with owner he Hangs up on you explaining "take it somewhere else and consider this a lesson learned" to me. My lesson is DO NOT USE THIS UNPROFESSIONAL company. read more

Long story.....they delivered my dumpster to nasty neighbor at house #3 instead of me at house #30. When nasty neighbor at house #3 called the phone number on the side of the dumpster, the person who answered explained the mix up and told him it should have gone to house #30. BAD MOVE! Meanwhile...Mr. Cheapie called me to say dumpster was delivered. I arrived home 10 minutes later and called Mr. Cheapie to say there was no dumpster at my house. My doorbell rang 10 minutes later, it was nasty neighbor #3, he proceeded to rant and rave like a lunatic while I stood in my doorway totally confused and wondering who he was because he never introduced himself. I had already spoken to Mr. Cheapie twice by now and I knew what happened so I determined this nut was nasty neighbor #3. While this nut carried on, I could not think of one reason why Mr. Cheapie would tell him where I lived. Since he had already torn them apart and cursed them out on the phone, according to Mr. Cheapie receptionist, he made it clear he was a bit unstable and not very understanding of human error. The dumpster arrived later containing about 400 lbs of trash (bowling balls, computer modem, 4 bags of cement mix, car tires, etc...) I called Mr. Cheapie to let them know the "2000 lbs weight limit" was off the table because my dumpster was not empty thanks to nut #3. The response was, "we'll work with you." I didn't like that answer and expected a future dispute so I immediately cancelled the card after they received payment. I rented the dumpster for 10 days to remove a small backyard deck only. I called for pick up on day #8 and was told I'd be put "on the list." I called again on day #14 and was told they were "down a truck." I said...no problem, just don't forget about it. I called again several weeks later after Thanksgiving. The dumpster was finally picked up on 12/3/18...I rented the dumpster for 10 days on 10/19/18. On 12/3/18 Mr. Cheapie tried to charge my card for "over the weight limit." Fortunately, I anticipated this based upon the unprofessional behavior already displayed and I cancelled the card after the dumpster was delivered with garbage from nasty neighbor #3. After picking up the dumpster from my house on 12/3/18 and being card declined, Mr. Cheapie called to discuss money owed for "over the weight limit." I went over the chain of events again. There was no dispute and no money owed on my end and I appreciated that. I will say I find it hard to believe Mr. Cheapie even stays in business and all the 1 stars should mean something to the owner but that's just my opinion. So I may have a Business Degree but, what do I know? I do believe they could have much higher profits, more business and better reviews if they were a bit more responsible. I'm not defending nasty neighbor #3 but IDK why even a truck driver would park a dumpster on a gorgeous lawn without first ringing the doorbell to be certain. When I called for delivery, the receptionist said that nobody had to be home for delivery. That was actually the 1st red flag. I'm just a customer but I am not a nasty, disgruntled customer. In fact, all employees at Mr. Cheapie were very nice, nobody was ever rude, disrespectful or sarcastic. I chose Mr. Cheapie because I though the price was fair and the guy who gave me the quote (Anthony) was very nice on the phone. Giving my house number to the nut down the block was not a good idea but I'll assume the receptionist had no idea that nut #3 was wound up tighter than a guitar string. I can't even remember how many times my family, friends and I laughed about the lunacy of the delivery, nut #3 and the length of time the dumpster was at my house for a 10 day rental. I appreciate that there was no dispute about the excess weight and additional charges but that was Mr. Cheapie's fault anyway. I do not appreciate that nobody at Mr. Cheapie ever offered a 2 word apology or even acknowledged that they made a huge mistake with the entire experience, ESPECIALLY by giving my house number to a loose cannon like the nasty nut at #3. The fact that the nut actually came to my front door to rip me apart for the dumpster disaster, which was totally not my fault, was probably the most disturbing part of that experience. The receipt I received from Mr. Cheapie clearly shows house #3, not #30. Three doesn't sound like thirty and I don't tell anyone that I live at house three. That was the fault of the person at Mr. Cheapie who took the information from me when I called for delivery. No doubt, 100% her fault. read more

Had a very good experience with the company. Made the appointment and the owner showed up and gave me the price immediately. They dropped off the dumpster and came back a couple days later to clean up the yard with 6 of his guys. It was done in under 15 minutes. They even cleaned the driveway and raked the dirt! I was in contact with the owner through the whole process. The dumpster was taken away this am. No hidden fees. Everyone was friendly and on time! I would definitely use them again! read more

They were also flexible and adjusted pick up times for us with no problem. They even helped us out with extending our rental by a few days while we dealt with the removal of something heavy from our yard that took more time than we thought. SCAM! Mr cheapee is not so cheap. they charge extra per ton, but unlike most companies they dont give you the scale ticket. they tried to tell me that i had over 10 tons on a 30 yard which mainly had lumber. what a rip off!!! also, they dont call you to let you know what to charge. they just charge your credit card with all kind of fees without your agreement. they dont take american express for a reason. when I called to complaint Liz threaten me that they will reload the tuck and dump it in my driveway. Let me start by saying I have used them in the past and have also sent many clients to them over the years... received an email from the stating 100 off your next dumpster rental which was perfect timing since we were about to start another renovation job... when I called and told him about the coupon I was told it was for first time customers only... told him I would call back... after checking email and details on coupon there was no mention of first time customers anywhere... called back and spoke to woman who answered the phone .. told her .. she then proceeded to talk to whom ever I had talked to earlier who then got on the phone and started to yell at me asking "didn't I just talk to you" told him yes but no where on the email or coupon does it state first time customers... he the told me to go find another company and hung up... Anthony was rude and vulgar. I did not sign a contract regarding the dumpster being at water level. I spoke with a female at the office who explained that there is an additional fee for anything over the 2000lbs. I paid initial fee over the phone with female employee. When driver came to my home he explained he couldn't haul it because it was too full. My husband offered to level it out but asked that driver return the following day to pick up the dumpster. The driver called the office and when he put me on the phone all I was able to say is hello when Anthony asked me if I was stupid amongst additional language I shall not repeat. I said he can speak to my husband he responded by saying put him on am I supposed to be afraid as a matter of fact I will come to your house "threat". When I put my husband on he was rude and nasty. When my husband heard how he spoke to me they had a heated exchange. At no time did anybody threaten the driver. Anthony is talking like a tough guy but when my husband didn't back down Anthony decided to call the police even though we already "paid" the additional fee for the excess rubbish. Instead of the driver who is Anthony's brother loading up and leaving he wanted to continue to verbally engage with my husband. The police came to my home but nothing transpired. Anthony and his brother wanted to tell one side of the story to the police but neglected to say that Anthony not only disrespected me but threatened to come to my home. The driver/brother told my husband to come to the shop they will meet him down there when my husband didn't back down then Anthony who was sitting in his office decides to call the police. So Anthony please do me a favor and do not respond to reviews with lies. You were rude and disrespectful and I will NEVER recommend your company to anybody and I will tell everyone that I can about my negative experience. Paid cash for container and signed slip upon delivery. Was told my credit card was needed in case driver arrived and nobody was there for payment. I assured her I would be there to pay in cash, yet she insisted the credit card was a formality. Called to have container picked up when finished with it and was told her driver would be there within the hour... He never showed that day, which was a Friday. Instead, the following Monday, after a snow/ice/rain storm, I received a call that her trucks wouldn't be out on the road that day due to weather, but would come on Wednesday. Truck picked up container the next day and I received an invoice 2 days later showing my credit card was charged for overage charges of more than $200. I was never notified or made aware that my card would be charged for anything. Of course weight in the container increased after all the ice and rain soaked materials in it. Very deceptive company... I had an excellent experience with this company (Mr. Cheapee), who demolished a barn and shed for me and my family in April 2014. Anthony came out right away and gave us an estimate that was very reasonable, then he returned the following week with his crew and did all the work as promised (extremely fast!), which entailed carrying out most of the debris by hand because of the septic fields (unable to drive on the lawn). Anthony was really wonderful to work with and he went over and beyond what the job required by helping me and my family obtain a CO on the property for a completely unrelated building. (His experience dealing with Town Building departments was invaluable and he was able to quickly maneuver through the process for us.) If you need a professional company, with an owner that is not only extremely qualified but very pleasant to work with, you should definitely call Mr. Cheapee. My ONLY regret in the entire experience was that I didn't use him to also do my junk removal (!), which I hadn't realized they also provide that service. I would most definitely use them again and I highly recommend them. read more
