I only write maybe one review a year- and it's usually to warn people away from a place, or give a tip about how to not have a bad experience, so just the fact that I am taking a few minutes to do this should tell you that this place is special. Chip, his daughter, and the rest of the staff have always been very friendly, helpful and patient- whether I know exactly what I'm looking for or am clueless what I need. They've cut lumber to size perfectly, helped me load heavy items into my car, and even stayed open a few extra minutes when I've arrived as they were locking up. They are closed now so I will work on something else and wait until they open tomorrow rather than waste more than an hour driving all the way to Home Depot and then have to search for what I need! This is the best spot for hardware/lumber in the whole area!

My wife goes into the store. She had on a long winter coat. She's always cold. It's a medical condition. There are no inside pockets in that long winter coat that she wore open because then she started getting hot. She was overdressed, which happens to her when she goes into stores they don't have the air-conditioning set to 60. This was literally yesterday. She went out the day before and was freezing to death because of the windchill. She did not feel the need to explain this to the men that worked there. Unbelievable! She bought some batteries and was carrying them around the store. A man whose name we remember, we don't need to mention his name takes them away from her and says why don't you leave them on the counter? She she knew for sure that he thought she was some kind of thief because she was wearing a long winter coat. We all have weather whiplash. This man would not admit that he thought my wife was going to shop lift these batteries. She said she didn't see any sign saying do not carry merchandise around the store. She also did not notice any baskets one can carry the merchandise around it. Then the man continued to argue with my wife about how long the surge protector cord should be, and my wife kept saying what she wanted, and he kept arguing with her manslaining to her that she needed a long cord when she did not need a longer cord and we have very good reasons that we do not need a longer cord! My goodness! Prices are not cheap, they did not tell us the truth over the phone and then this happens. So not so happy;will avoid in future. Then she had to ask for a receipt. We hate that; a receipt should be given automatically.

I feel if I had gone with an another person they would not have seen that it needed extra prep work prior to painting and the walls would have had rough spots and lines. Carlos and Carlos Sr. Worked on the project and got it done quickly but correctly. We a super happy with results and cost. We've already got a quote from them for our living room and will be getting that project on the books shortly. Overall very happy customers and can't recommend enough.

He replaced rotted wood on house corners, so you can barely see the patch, and then only when you're looking for it. He knew his materials. I picked the wrong stain product for our deck. MY bad. They are very reasonably priced (we got some quotes that were double the amount) and they did great work. It's a small family business that I'm happy we were able to support.
