I've been to this shop twice. The first time was for a inner tube and to just browse. The older guy there wasn't very helpful or welcoming. Second time around was to see if they could help me pick out and install, a bottom bracket, crank, cassette and headset for 80/90's MTB. Immediately was met some resistance from Javier, he told me newer parts wouldn't fit but that I could leave the frame and he would check. He called the next day saying there aren't modern parts that will fit my set up. I picked up my frame and found all the parts I needed within 30 minutes online and I installed them myself. If you are in Yuma I recommend you start working on your bikes yourself. read more

What a Sham Yuma does not have a bike shop that doesn't rip you off. 10 year ago was new to Yuma and went to their 4th street store for some replacement spokes, $5.00 per spoke. Went down the street to Jonnys Yumas which is no more, $1.00 per spoke. Just called their Castle Dome store looking for a inner tube,$22.00. Found the same tube at Wally's World on 32nd, 4.99. Unless your stupid or desperate don't give these thieves your business! Had to give them 1 star which they do not deserve or would not post. read more

Well I was pretty disappointed. Went to purchase a new kickstand for my E Bike. Took the old one in so I could try and get the right one. 60.00 later walked out, went to put it on the bike and it was to tall. The gentleman helping was sure it would work. No luck, took back with the receipt and package. No refunds No returns! I did get a store credit that I will never use. When you walk out the door be aware. Between my family and friends, my parents and kids have purchased 4, our friends have purchased 3 bikes from them, and I've purchased 3 bikes myself. All this between 2019 and now! Mr B's has a huge, I mean enormous selection of bikes between their three stores in Yuma, which made it easy to help my parents, my older kids, a few friends all find different styles of bikes, and I found a couple high end full suspension bikes for myself! The staff are great and know a lot about bicycles. They can get busy sometimes, but that's because so many people in Yuma, including snowbirds, trust their service, their experience, and the product they carry. I don't recommend Mr B's $60 estimate to replace back bearings also I wanted tune up for another $40 when I got the bike back was $200 I said ok gave me the back with a flat tire (brand new) road it home and brakes didn't work. read more

You will not regret stopping by Mr B's! I have purchased 2 bikes since April of 2019, and sent a few friends there to purchase theirs. When I need my next MTB, I'll be buying it from Mr B's, without a doubt! While the staff at both the 4th Ave and Palms shops are very friendly and knowledgeable (haven't been to the Foothills shop yet) I have received amazing customer service from Quentin at the 4th Ave shop. After a 25 yr hiatus from MTBing, I wanted to get back to it and Quentin didn't try to jam me into more bike than I wanted or was ready for. He pretty much sold me on the Marlin 7, told me all the pros and cons, was extremely honest and forthcoming, and answered every one of my numerous questions. After about 6 months on the Marlin, I was ready to upgrade (just as Quentin said). I told him where I wanted my MTB journey to take me, and he suggested a full suspension set up. We spent a lot of time looking at bikes online, and I settled on the Fuel EX 9.7 29 (full suspension, carbon). It is impossible to love the EX 9.7 more than I do! It is everything I wanted, and Quentin was once again, right on the mark with its capabilities and performance levels. All the staff at the 4th Ave shop have endured and answered my many questions, my unscheduled visits for a quick drive train or suspension adjustment while getting used to the new bike. Their customer service and Quentin's knowledge/experience have been a massive part of my very successful re-entry into the MTB world at 50+ and they've earned my trust and my return patronage. Took my wife's bike here and got their $100 tire service. For $100 they upgrade your tubes, give you tube liners and install flat repair and will fix any future flats for three years. This is a pretty good deal and the service was pretty good. I will go back here for sure. read more

I was in dire need of a rear tire repair on a beautiful day for a ride. another shop in town couldn't look at my bike for 11 days. Mr. B's at the 4th Ave location deals with road, mountain, and gravel bikes. He said I could pick up the bike in 2 days. The bike was ready the next day and I was able to get out sooner for another sweet ride. The shop guys are knowledgeable, respectful, and very easy to work with. I took my two mountain bikes into the Fortuna location to have them serviced and when the guy asked when I needed them done, I asked him when he could have them done. He said they would be ready on 02/02/20. But when I showed up six days later, they hadn't even started. The excuse the guy gave me was that they had to get a bunch of rental bikes to build. Not my issue. While I can's speak about the main store, the people working at this location don't have the skills or desire to do anything more than rent and sell bikes. Needed to get a couple tubes. Some things pushed me back on my arrival time but I was there at 5:57. They close at 6. Drove up to see the doors open and mr. B telling me they're closed. I said, "I thought you close at 6?" He said, "We do." I said, "It's 5:57." And I looked directly at my phone to confirm this. He looks at his watch. He looks at his watch and says, "Mine says it's 6 o'clock." Ok, I'm not going to argue on the time with you and waste my time. I left. Not going back. My advice is you do the same and stay away from this overpriced place with their "I'm better than you" attitude. read more

This place is awful. Just like other reviews have said they are not very helpful and they do bad work. I had a part replaced and they didn't even check to see if it was working correctly. They also charged me about $80 more for the part than I could get it myself. I asked Shorty a couple of questions and he just answers with whatever the first thing he thinks of without considering anything. They also told me no refunds after I made the purchase. There are no signs anywhere to inform you there's no refunds. Go somewhere else this business is trash. read more

Needed a tube for my Mt bike. 6.50 online but needed to ride today. Went to Mr. Bs in Foothills, Yuma AZ and counter help was very odd. Bad vibes so should have known to leave then. He said all they had were HD thorn-proof tubes for 18 bucks. I thought well that can't be bad. I was wrong. It was 18 bucks worth of trouble. First, the Presta valve would not unscrew. It was jammed tight. Had to get plyers out just to put a little air in it. Then, it became rock hard with over an inch in all directions to the tire on the inside. WTF? Called him and he said keep pumping and it will fill. It did but then when I rode it... "Squelch-Squelch-Squelch," as the wheel turned. It made this horrible loud noise and was more than annoying on my normally peaceful and quiet ride. Went back home, took the wheel off and pulled the tube out again. Was expecting to see the tube bunched up on one side as it only made the noise in one place as tire turned. It looked fine. Replaced it and went out again with less air in the tube. Still made the noise. Took it back the next day and he would not give me a refund. Store credit only. Said ok, I want the "not thorn-proof regular tube." He said we don't stock those in this store. Then it got very strange. It seems one of his friends was standing by in the store and he told me, "Get out of here! The man told you he couldn't do anything and you're a f_cking idiot!" Very dark and negative vibes. I left out $18.00 and with a defective tube, I can't use. Sticking with Amazon next time. NEVER GOING IN ANY SPECIALTY STORE EVER AGAIN! read more

I bought a nice Trek crossover from this place. They assembled it for me and gave me a three year warranty. I also paid to have the tires reinforced with kevlar due to burrs causing a lot of flats. The repair lasted until the tubes finally dry rotted and had to be repaired. It costs money to buy a nice bike. I paid a decent price for my Trek, but if you are looking for bargain basement prices you won't find them here. They sell high end product here and the price goes along with it. read more

I was going to sell a bike on ebay. Called up Mr. B's and asked if they sell bicycle boxes to ship my bike once sold. They said they could give me one for free since they throw them out anyways. I live out in the foothills and drove all the way to town to get it (about a 30 minute drive each way). When I got there the employee at the counter was propping up his head with his hand, looking bored and mad that I had stopped in. He didn't say hello or great me in any way. I asked him about the box. Of course he acted like he had no idea what a bike box was. Then he said that he already broke all the boxes down and threw them away. I told him I just called and the guy on the phone said he'd give me one. Then he told me that the owner said not to give out ANY boxes or that they'd get in trouble. All this while giving me big attitude for even asking about it. He never even lifted his head up out of his hand. WTF? I've been buying parts at this store off and on since the 1990s. I just had some work done on a bike at their other location at the mall. Thanks for wasting my time! SInce online bike stores are cheaper and have better selections, I don't get how a local bike store can stay in business when they treat their customers like a-holes. My advice is buy online and avoid their attitudes and mark ups. read more

My wife and I got two new bicycles last year from Mr B besides delivering a good product at a decent price they take good care of our bikes and they have a whole lot of accessory parts for our bikes and for a lot of others we have grandkids and they help us fix all of those bikes today when I was in there we had the thrill of a lifetime they have a new electric bicycle their offering for sale and he offered my wife and I attest ride we rode those two bikes for about 20 minutes and we didn't want to bring them back they're so much fun if you get a chance get in there and try their new electric bikes they are amazing read more

After receiving extremely poor service at Johnny Yuma's I took my bike to Mr B's. Upon entering we were greeted by Zeke who asked if he could have a look at the bike before selling us the part we asked for and found that we did not need it, just a minor adjustment that took less than 5 minutes to make! Wow! Wow! Wow! JY had my bike for 6 days and told us it would be a minimum of $30 to look at it, plus parts (that we did not need). Great service and a great employee!!!! read more
