I don't know if it's just the worldwide pandemic, but Mr. Beet's prices are insanely affordable right now, and I really appreciate it. Not only are they well-stocked AND friendly folks who know their biz, but I just bought a pack of organic blueberries for $1. ORGANIC. Avocados are also $1 apiece right now. Considering my daughter only wants to eat avocados and blueberries for the rest of her life, Mr. Beet is essentially my hero. I hope Mrs. Beet appreciates him as much as I do. Social distancing in the narrow aisles can be a little tough, but cheap blueberries are worth it. Not catching a deadly disease worth it, I suppose, but worth playing the favorable percentages. To me at least. Then again, my math might be bad. The only numbers I understand are $1 for blueberries. I think I've said too much, so I'm going to shut up now.

Even if this is organic it's not weighing 1.08 lb beware at register that where store cashier play games

They rob me at the cashier when I took garlic and ginger from inside store should be $3.99 /lb cashier put one piece of garlic and one small piece of ginger and weigh it at 1.08lb and charge $4.37 for them I went home looked at receipt and weigh them not even half lb . I took one apple $1.79/lb they charged it /piece Don't trust this cashier in Mr beet

The BEST market in Boerum Hill!! A wonderful addition to the Mr. (FRUIT) family. If you need just your basics and want to avoid the crowds at Trader Joe's / BK Fare and this is your place. The produce selection is top notch with the best prices in the hood. Did I mention the service is warm, friendly...and they're legit ALWAYS OPEN. They've been a lifesaver during Covid and have definitely stepped up their game in general - amazing COFFEE options (Partners, Stumptown, Stone Street, MUD, Brooklyn Roasting, Counter Culture, etc), great cheese selection, randomly fresh and delicious sushi options, and a JUICE BAR. How they squeeze all these things into a neighborhood market, I don't know! Mr. Beet - you da best.

As I was walking home I was craving peaches so I decided to stop in Mr. Beet and grab some. When I got home and I bit into the peach the inside looked brown. I was like maybe just this spot is bad so I took another bite.... that was even worse.

what an amazing thoughtful gift, thank you Mr. Beet

This store is not clean. However it is good for picking up small things that you may forget or need last minute. Some good produce.

This is a brilliant little grocery with all the essentials and quite a bit of Asian variety…read moreavailable too, along with a small produce selection. There's a lot packed in there! It's a good choice for coffee, snacks, but also fennel, vegan food, kimchi, or eucalyptus cuttings (and, like many small grocery stores, some things are better deals than others). Importantly for the neighborhood, Bad Wife also sell live plants and flowers at very reasonable prices. In the spring and summer, they'll often have flowering plants available. I've always had great interactions with the staff here, and am a fan of the place.

Earlier today, I purchased several plants. In the evening, I returned to the store to return those…read moreitems, for a refund. I no longer wanted those plants. Mrs. Lee refused to accept the return. She referred to a sign that read, plants are not returnable. That particular sign was displayed at at the back of the plant section, on a high shelf. Interestingly enough, at the cash register, there is a sign that states, "Refund policy provided within 2 days receipt." It is mandatory for stores to visibly display their return policy at the cash register. 'The Bad Wife' failed to do so. Mrs. Lee's attitude was rude and dismissive despite being told return policies must be clearly visible by the cash register.
