Inside their store, it's always brightly lite and they seem to have everything convenience things that one would need if they needed to pick up something quickly. Staff wise, they are always friendly to me and would say hi when I'm about to check out. For me, I feel this store is a gem to the neighborhood. The reason I'm giving this three stars is because it really lacks choices. Sure it has the staples but you don't have many brands to choose from. They also carry a pretty varied selection of beer, from supermarket brands to craft. The rest is pretty much what you expect from bodegas (cat food to chips to cleaning supplies and oh, fresh flowers are back!). Plus this place is open 24/7 so if you need a pineapple at 4am you are set! I won't give up my loyalty to the other local businesses but I will definitely be taking advantage of Mr Kiwi's unique food options and operating hours. No more going a morning without almond milk cause I forgot to get it and then came home too late -- woo hoo!! PS I did hear a rumor that some premade food / fresh juice options might become available as well... stay tuned. Also if it all looks a bit familiar, I did ask and they confirmed they're the same people who run Mr Lime on 7th Ave. Nice.

Like many, I was super excited to have a natural mini market open within walking distance of my…read morehome. I had been in this market several times and was happy with the selection and the service. That was until last week. I went in the store last week to order on omelet. I asked the disgruntled man behind the counter for an omelet with Turkey bacon and American cheese. He asked me what kind of omelet I wanted. I was confused because I had just told him the type of omelet I wanted. I repeated my order, and the gentleman began to "school" me on what exactly on omelet was. Aside from the fact that he was wrong, I repeated my order. He gave me whatever he wanted and I left. I went in today, and the same disgruntled man was behind the counter. I stood there for a minute waiting for him to acknowledge me. He then came to the counter, took his headphones out of his ear, and begrudgingly asked me what I wanted. I repeated the same order from last week. And the we had the same disagreement. His unwillingness to just give me what I ordered and his innate need to "school" me incorrectly caused me to say "forget it." I grabbed my coffee and left. So here's the thing, I will NEVER go back to this store again (and neither will anyone I know) simply because the man behind the deli counter is rude, condescending, and unaware that the customer is always right. All he had to do was give me what I wanted. I guess I wasn't the type of customer he wanted to serve this morning, because he was quite pleasant to others, but I digress. Nonetheless, I won't be going back there. If I am supporting your business, the very least you can do for me is be nice. So while the store itself and its contents are appealing, I will not go back because the service is disappointing, to say the least. I would give less than 1 star if I could, because service is of the utmost importance to me; they fail in this category. But good luck; you would fare better by getting rid of the guy behind the service counter...he diminishes the appeal.

You will not find actual quality without forking over a substantial amount of money that would be better spent on other local businesses. This place is a barren soul farm where the employee is worth nothing except the time they bury in the dirt. The wine store next door is fine though, the people there were friendly and chill.
