I had never thought that renting bikes AND having them delivered to/picked up from you would be so simplifying. After a very polite and helpful phone call with Mr Beach Rental himself, we had our two cruiser bikes delivered to our rental within 30 minutes. (They also have fat tire bikes and tandems as well as accessories such as kid carts and helmets.) The first day came down to $20/bike, and every successive day cut the price down so that after three days the price was close to $13/bike a day. Moreover, I didn't need to cart the bikes to the rental shop or back. They picked up the bikes after 5pm on our last rental day. The bikes were brand-new feeling, had very cushy seats, and seemed to be made of very durable materials (Nathan said that he outfits the wheels with thorn-proof tires, and if anything was at all a problem, we just needed to call). I highly recommend this service! You can't seem to beat a cruisin' beach rental delivery service in tandem with your vacation plans as a matter of fat. read more

We rented bikes for our oak island vacation, the overall experience went smooth. It was a little weird at first because there is no shop to go to. The website might have mentioned that but I didn't see it. It said we were a few miles from them so we hopped in the car thinking we could pick up our bikes. Frustration ended super quick, we rented them on line to see what would happen and within minutes Nathan called to thank us for choosing him and to confirm our drop off. They arrived within the hour!!! THE BIKES..... were new and really nice, very comfy seats and I recommend getting at least one basket. Excellent first experience using Mr. Beach Rentals. Found them on Yelp, and they were so easy to work with! From reserving our beach gear (beach chairs, an umbrella, and a wagon) on their website, to needing to make a last-minute change to where we were staying, they were wonderful! One of the people I spoke with noticed that I reserved a wagon, and he asked if i had enough room to transport it to and from the beach in my rental car because the wagon doesn't collapse. He brought the wagon to see if it would fit, and when it wouldn't work, we weren't charged to rent it. If I'm ever in Oak Island, I wouldn't hesitate to use Mr. Beach Rentals again! read more

Easy, affordable rental with FREE drop off and pick-up. What could be better? Well, that would be helpful, friendly staff who want to make sure you are pleased with the rental. We rented a tandem and beach umbrellas for our week stay at Oak Island. Equipment worked great and when we mentioned a small maintenance issue with the tandem, Louis asked why we hadn't called, because he would have taken care of it right away. We had a great time on our kayak adventure! Louis was an amazing guide and super fun and personable. He met us at the launch point, put our kayaks in the water for us and removed them at the end. We learned kayak safety and saw lots of wildlife. We kayaked into a variety of waterways which was very fun. Our previous tour with another company was cancelled and we feel really lucky to have found Mr Beach Rentals. We cannot wait to request Louis as our tour guide next year! read more

We ordered all of our beach supplies from "Mr. Beach" lol, as not to be forced to travel with them. They were the only company we contacted the didn't require us to rent for a FULL 7 Days (we knew that would be way too much sun!) & we were given a fabulous rate. Rental of two bikes for seven days was very reasonable. Plus, we added a basket for one and water bottle holder for the other. The bikes were delivered very early and locked up at our destination, as well as pickup too, so there was no need for us to wait for someone to show up.
