So I asked one of the moms videotaping her kids, "Who is the company giving these lessons?' I jumped on their website, texted the number there and got our 11 year old signed up for a private lesson for the very next day. Sydney was a lovely and patient instructor. The owner was there, too, very polite and organized and I paid with Venmo right there on the beach. And my son who had never surfed before got up about 40 times in his 90 minute lesson. He was quick to respond and let me know there is actually a group of local treasure hunters whose main objective is finding aforementioned "lost treasures." I thought it was so cool to talk to someone involved in such a monumental task. Mike said they get 2 calls a week asking them to find engagement rings and sentimental valuables. I just want to commend him and "them" for the little society of helpers they have. It is truly amazing.
