The booking information shows beautiful bikes to rent and specifically states "Why rent a rust bucket when you can pedal a new bicycle?" Plus, as a part of the fine print agreement I signed a statement that states, "You will be charged full replacement cost for bikes returned with sand or saltwater wear." Well imagine our dismay when we found the Coastal Urge bikes were already parked in the sand, quite rusty, and only 26"; I had paid an additional $25 delivery fee and it was quite evident these bikes were kept there all of the time. Plus the bikes were a garish bright pink, not at all as described on the website. We opted to walk over to Riverside Adventures and received excellent service and bikes. I must say though that Coastal Urge were easy to work with when I requested a refund.

They're great to talk to for advice about everything from wax and wetsuits to travel arrangements in Costa Rica. Tony Butler is Sweetwater's manager, and he contributes much of the content on wblivesurf.com, including daily photos and surf reports. Sweetwater also runs a surf report phone line (910-256-8184) to keep you up to date on changing surf conditions. Sweetwater carries a huge selection of the best brands of surf boards, skate boards, snow boards, wetsuits (in the winter), swimsuits, board shorts, flip flops, surf and skate DVDs, and all the other equipment, clothing and accessories you might need for surfing, skating or snowboarding. If you can't find something you want, just ask, and the staff will bend over backwards to help you locate it. They can probably custom order it if they don't have it available. Although I was very seriously thinking on getting a new surf board, I held myself back and purchased a skim board for my granddaughter. Logan was great in assisting us in finding the right board. He was knowledgeable on the skim boards and sized up the right board to my granddaughters height and weight. I spent more than I wanted too , but getting a better skim board meant better success. She skim boarded on our last vacation together in the Outer Banks. She went out everyday and eventually learned how to skim board. My reasoning for getting her a good one. Back to Bert's , easy access to, plenty of parking, anything you want in surfing , skateboarding , swim wear, accessories and more are here.
